World No.1, Iga Świątek, defeated a young American in Roland Garros final and equaled Venus Williams' 35-match winning streak:

Queen Iga! :D 👏

WTA ranking:

1. Iga Świątek - 7061 points

Congratulations to Świątek, I think the American player was a little overwhelmed (I would be....).

Womens Tennis (like any sport) badly needs stars and Świątek is as close as there is at the moment. Gauff might get there two in a year or two (she looked so young and vulnerable before the match).

Why did Lewandowski go to Spain where he will earn 2 million Euro less a year? I don't understand any of this?

Bayern didn't treat him right.....

Lenka

He has enough money so obviously some other reasons behind him wanting to go so much.

Anyone watching VNL (volleyball nations league) ?

Yesterday we lost the chance to fight for gold after loosing with USA. The USA deserved to win as this time they were clearly better team. To the point it was boring to watch.

Today we fight for bronze with Italy and the match is much more interesting. Not to mention we are winning ATM 2-0

So Poland won bronze.

Now USA is getting hammered by France. I think they will have to settle for silver although of course things may change.

European athletics championships are taking place now in Munchen. I can read about some Polish successes. Poland is 6th in the medal count, No 1 - Germany.

Let`s see the most determined relentless Polish athletes:

How is it that only women win medals for Poland?

Sofia Ennanoui, bronze in 1500 m race

Wow, I checked the sportswoman`s background and it is extremely interesting.

She was born to a Moroccan father and a Polish mother and moved to Poland at the age of 2. She is a soldier in the Polish Army - first in 36th Air Defense Missile Squadron. Now in the Training Center of Engineering and Chemical Forces.

Amasing!

Why is she still private?🪖

pawian

Coz she joined the army in 2018 and focuses on her sports career rather than military.
