I have been watching football for over 30 years and I thought nothing would surprise me...

Poland led 2-0 at half-time, with 70% posession and total domination over Moldavia. In the second half they just stopped playing and lost 2-3. I've never seen anything like that in my life - a team comes from total domination into playing ZERO football. Players from Juventus, Napoli, Barcelona - top class professionals, looked like a bunch of kids. Un-be-lie-va-ble...

Sounds like either a pay off and a scandal in the making (until fifa can hush it up) or like the old Polish team... a whole bunch of times I'd watch them play really well until the other side scored and then just kind of fall apart and stop trying (even when they had been leading).

Did they stop playing at the beginning of the second half or after Moldavia scored somehow?

And would the result affect who gets into Euros? (was this a qualifier) maybe Moldavia winning would keep a worse rival out?

They made it very difficult only for themselves to qualify now. This is completely and utterly incomprehensible.

Or maybe some sort of scandal with the bookies, mafia involved or something... I don't know. Mind boggles.

And against MOLDOVA! After TOTAL domination in the first half. :-/

In this decade Moldova won only against Liechtenstein, Andora and Latvia. And now Poland...

if you assume honest intentions everywhere... yes

apart from possible bookie/fixing ideas.... maybe the team really doesn't like the new coach and wants him gone....

There is talk of Poland hosting the 2036 Olympics.
This would give Poland a shot in the arm to being recognized on the world stage.
Americans would finally be able to find Poland on the map.

American women beat Polish women in Volleyball!

I am surprised, but seems like American volleyball team won against the Polish volleyball team!

Are American women a better choice? Who could have known! :O

Both teams, man and women, went to the quarter finals in volleyball nations ligue will be interesting to see what they can accomplish :)

Women's team in semi finals will play with China. Still waiting on who will play with the USA.

So sadly Poland womens team lost their semifinals game.
USA lost their so now they will fight later today tor 3rd place.
China or Turkey will be the VNL champion.

They will play at 11 a.m. our time here in the U.S.A.
I will have to hurry home from church to watch it.

First set Poland. Basically crushing USA. But of course that means nothing and the table can turn

Second set USA. Poland was fighting to come back time after time but just couldn't do it.

3rd set much more even. Poland got it though.

American player got fair game card (?) After admitting a touch.
Also crowd gave a Polish player a big cheer when she got up after an injury at the end of set 3.

Fans is one of the reasons why I like watching volleyball.

So we are going to the 5th... 15 points, who gets them first....
