I don't think the Putinists are very interested in negotiations on terms other than their own. Better to let the lawful government restore law and order, and then talk. Ukraine's a democracy, so nothing to stop the separatists setting up a political part and running for office.

If they don`t wish to live in same country state, they should peacefully separate from each other, as it was case in Czechoslovakia.
