Ukraine Crisis... Poland... and the way i see it

Roger5
4 Aug 2014  #1921

Last night, 438 Ukrainian troops crossed Russian border and requested asylum in Russia.

You state that as a fact, and it may, for all I know, be one. It is, however, customary to quote a source. I just hope it isn't the utterly incredible RT.

I wonder why the Russians don't put a few of these soldiers on TV. It would be quite a publicity coup, wouldn't it?

I wonder why the Russians don't put a few of these soldiers on TV.

I do not watch russian TV channels, but there is a lot of photos on russian news portals... For example, how they installing large army tents in a temporary camp and unloading a truck with bottled water and food.

Do not sure that photo will be visible w/o correct cookies, but....

Gazeta.ru just posted an update - 180 servicemen decided to return to Ukraine and now transported to the safe border crossing point on a buses.

Obama downplayed Moscow's role in the world, dismissing President Vladimir Putin as a leader causing short-term trouble for political gain that will hurt Russia in the long term.

"I do think it's important to keep perspective. Russia doesn't make anything," Obama said in the interview.

"Immigrants aren't rushing to Moscow in search of opportunity. The life expectancy of the Russian male is around 60 years old. The population is shrinking," he said.

Gregy, your link is to a very dodgy website. Not only do they use the .su domain, but they also have articles suggesting that Ukraine is allowing foreign tourists to pay for a chance to kill people and that the passenger manifest for the plane shot down with Russian help was falsified and there were really only 3 children killed.

Not really a credible source.

i dont think people there who report for this website are being brutally beaten like in nazi kiev media employees:

I don't recall linking to any sites in this thread, and certainly not the rubbish you just linked to - surely you've heard what a nutter Alex Jones is. The article called

Special Report: Why Obama Brought Ebola to U.S. Exposed

is a bit of a clue. Even for you. Perhaps you just don't care.

Well, you certainly made that choice, though I suspect nature played its part.

common sense is more than enough

And common sense points to Russian involvement. We've established that already, Greggs.

what is more worrying tho, ukra deployed totchka, and uragans near Donetsk...hope they dont use it..this will be terrible

Not as terrible as a malign neighbour sponsoring terrorist insurgents to grab territory.

so using balistic missles to fight "terrorists"in big city is ok for you ?

What's OK is the Putinists returning to Russia and stopping escalating the situation. Their leader should listen to the international community. Absolutely true what the US President said today:

"I do think it's important to keep perspective. Russia doesn't make anything," Obama said in the interview.
"Immigrants aren't rushing to Moscow in search of opportunity. The life expectancy of the Russian male is around 60 years old. The population is shrinking," he said.

I don't think the Putinists are very interested in negotiations on terms other than their own. Better to let the lawful government restore law and order, and then talk. Ukraine's a democracy, so nothing to stop the separatists setting up a political part and running for office.

Can you think of any autocratic rulers involved in this?

nazis already started purification.latest raport from osce:

osce.org/ukraine-smm/122234

"12 members of an extended Roma family told the SMM on 1 August that police on the night of 27-28 July had ordered them to leave their make-shift encampment by 15 August. The family, originally from Transcarpathia, had come to the city 14 years ago and have been living in their current accommodation for the past five years. Local media reported on 29 July that another group of Roma had been removed from Ivano-Frankivsk by police acting in conjunction with the Mayor's Office."

You are mistaken. Representatives of Ukrainian and Russian people, from within Ukraine, need to talk. If they don`t wish to live in same country state, they should peacefully separate from each other, as it was case in Czechoslovakia. But, west of Europe and USA obviously insist on Yugoslavian scenario, where exactly thanks to so called west bloodshed occurred.

Peace to Slavic children! Down with USA! Down with EU!

i think, when you deploying ballistics missiles against civilians,Hague is best place to talk to those criminal nazis.
line was crossed,no more talking to junta.Russia should deploy peacekeeping forces immediately

Absolutely true what the US President said today:

any traces of WMD found in Iraq yet?

jon357

any traces of WMD found in Iraq yet?

Did President Obama say there were?

If they don`t wish to live in same country state, they should peacefully separate from each other, as it was case in Czechoslovakia

So let them set up a political party and trigger a referendum under the constitution. With a timescale, with proper voting and with a bit of dignity - something Russia cares not one whit for. Rather than seize territory and shoot down planes full of passengers.

But, west of Europe and USA obviously insist on Yugoslavian scenario, where exactly thanks to so called west bloodshed occurred.

The bloodshed was why the free world couldn't stand by, as well you know. At least with Russia, they're choosing sanctions.

Oddly enough there was a free and fair election after Yanokovich fled. Why didn't the Putinists go down that route, instead of proclaiming a so-called regime?

This is a pipeline war between the US and Russia - has been for a long time. None of the big players gives a **** about the Ukrainian people.
