USA News and Poland

most mobile homes in the U.S. are three times nicer (and twice as big)

He has an obsession with trailer parks and is jealous that he can't afford his own trailer on a measly teacher job in Poland. McDonalds employees earn more money than he does! LOL

someone as immature as you are ?

His juvenile students are more mature than him. Can you imagine if one of his superiors found out what this clown does in his spare time? Hardly, the kind of person they would want around their children.

s this in the water? Why is everybody in Poland personally nasty to other posters?

Its not the water or the Polish, but these jealous UK expat trolls with big chips on their shoulders, like Delphia!

He is jealous of America because he doesn't have a pot to p-iss in and works for peanuts! LOL

I see the same kind of nastiness against the US coming from Europe

Sorry, but I see it coming from the opposite direction.

jealous of America

I am being serious here now. I keep hearing this coming from the Pol-Ams, and I just don't understand it. Personally, I have never felt the slightest inclination towards visiting the US, despite having family there. I can't speak for others, but for me, there is nothing to be jealous of. I don't envy the hugely materialistic lifestyle, the fact that despite being probably one of the richest countries in the world, the poverty there is shocking. Although the country has some of the world's best universities, the general education level seems to be quite low. Guns and school shootings. Huge opiod problem.

Please just stop with presuming that everyone is jealous of your country, some of us aren't.

The US is the center of everything. The US came to the Euros' rescue twice and, hopefully, will never do it again. The US made Japan a modern success story.

The US protects the lazy Euros as am I writing this post. It is the US that makes it possible for Europe to buy things from Russia without any fear that Russia will get stronger and decides to send a couple of tanks to "annex" WE.

Let me put simply: To us, you are a liability and a PITA. We can't even visit Paris because you even managed to ruin that place.

You all know it and that is why you have this need to put down anything American.

Truth be told is that trailer park life in the US is worse than anything in Poland.

This is one of Delphoids repetitious tactics.
He uses Poland in his nasty remarks to get America/Poles to reply with nasty remarks about Poland in America's defense.
Since his he is from Scotland (commonly referred to as The Trump Golf Course in England) the sentence should have read:
Truth be told is that trailer park life in the US is worse than anything in Scotland.
That sure would put a different spin on any rebuttal without insulting Poland now wouldn't it.
And Mods, this is totally on topic so no need to move it to Random to get buried.

and I just don't understand it. Personally,

I just explained it to you in detail Pam but the Mods moved it to Random Chat.
You can find it there before they delete it permanently.

The truth is that they're desperate to convince Poles that life is better there. It's typical village peasant behaviour, because everyone knows America sucks in comparison to Poland.

Ill take the bait from this troll.. Hey, why did over 600K Europeans overstay their Visas in 2017, because it sucks?

How come Nobody wants to emigrate to Scotland and why couldn't you hack it as a teacher in the UK and why did you move to Poland and work for lower wages???

In America, even the peasants earn more than you do! LOLOL

you have this need to put down anything American.

Given that you always seem to want factual answers, please enlighten me as to what parts of my comments are untrue regarding the US.
I'm sure the country has amazing scenery, but I've never had any particular desire to visit, I just don't get the whole jealousy thing, and I certainly don't think Americans are as 'free' as they like to think they are.

I will always be grateful to the Americans who liberated the camp my family member was incarcerated in for the duration of WW2, so no, I don't have anything personal against the US or Americans.

they're desperate to convince Poles that life is better there

I guess it depends on what one wants out of life, but if I had to move countries tomorrow, it would be Poland and not the US I would be heading for. Despite all the bureaucracy!!

Pam,I find very few of your comments that I agree with.
But this is one I will, sort of,agree with you.
America has many advantages over Europe and many disadvantages too.
Overall,I would still stick with Europe as a better place to live.
But only just,if things get any worse The USA will start to look more attractive.

In America, even the peasants earn more than you do!

No wonder. Living expenses for American peasants are much higher than in Poland.

Consumer Prices in United States are 80.93% higher than in Poland
Consumer Prices Including Rent in United States are 102.77% higher than in Poland
Rent Prices in United States are 164.47% higher than in Poland
Restaurant Prices in United States are 113.82% higher than in Poland
Groceries Prices in United States are 122.64% higher than in Poland
Local Purchasing Power in United States is 72.76% higher than in Poland

Look at the last line and think about it. Do you understand what that number means when you compare the price differences?

The US will never look more attractive because of the unlimited supply of foreign garbage that can just cross over a land border.
Secondly, we have no idea how not to deficit spend ourselves into a financial nightmare. It's a form of addiction for which there is no known cure other than a bloody revolution.

Do you understand what that number means when you compare the price differences?

Why didn't you include the huge pay difference in wages either? Why did you immigrate to California instead of Europe then?

mylifeelsewhere.com/cost-of-living/united-states/poland

Its still cheaper to live in the USA when your earning potential is 2- 3 times, or beyond, what you can earn in Poland.

TheOther
11 Feb 2019  #913

Why didn't you include the huge pay difference in wages either?

Because they didn't list the average wage level for American "peasants". Low income/ high cost of living. There's a reason why many people here have to work two or three jobs to make ends meet.

your earning potential is 2- 3 times, or beyond, what you can earn in Poland

Too bad though that a lot of low-income people, and those are the ones we're talking about, will never be able to reach their full potentential.

Why did you immigrate to California instead of Europe then?

What could be the reason? Hint: it's not the money. :)

There's a reason why many people here have to work two or three jobs to make ends meet.

They call those people Republicans.
The Democrats only have one "peasant" job so they qualify for welfare supplements that pay more then that second and third job.
The word you're looking for is "dignity".

TheOther
11 Feb 2019  #915

We were talking about wage levels in Poland compared to the USA. Nothing to do with politics. If you have to work three jobs to feed your family, then something's wrong, don't you think?

Yes, the family is living beyond there means.
They need to lower their standards.

You must...... as this sure is a sore spot with you.
I thought you said that you didn't migrate to the U.S. for the money yet you bring this subject up over and over again.

When will you understand that we all can't be Bill Gates.
There is a pecking order in the food chain.

Yes, the family is living beyond there means.

BS. A lot of people are earning only minimum wage, and you can't survive on that in many areas.

you bring this subject up over and over again.

Because it's shameful for the richest country on Earth and needs to change. You don't care, obviously, but that's expected from self-centered libertarian nut jobs.

There is a pecking order in the food chain.

Don't worry, Trump voters such as yourself will be at the bottom of that food chain soon enough. Did I mention already that you deserve it?

johnny reb
12 Feb 2019  #921

and you can't survive on that in many areas.

Not when you are pumping out one snot eater after another, paying $100 a month for cable t.v., $200 a month for your I-phone, $300 a month on fast food, $200 a month on your weekly night at the bar and bowling, $200 a month boat payment......how could anyone survive on minimum wage ?

We have gone thru this same scenario ten times now and you obviously aren't listening.

Trump voters such as yourself will be at the bottom of that food chain soon enough.

You are hoping but I have invested well as a conservative plus I only have at the most twenty years left before I go home to be with the Lord.

I will be just fine.

Did I mention already that you deserve it?

Just about every post you have. So judgmental and jealous.

If you want to rip into Trump, I can help you. Ripping into the Trump voters is as unfair as making fun of a drowning man who grabbed the rope which turned out to be made of noodles. That four-year cycle - vote for me, oh, f***, what have we done - is a constant in the US politics because lying is the only way to get elected and to pass laws later.

The only salvation for the US is to become a truly one-party country like China where the voters don't mean anything, thus, removing the need to lie to them and promise things nobody can afford.

A school cop retiring at $100,000 a year is just one tiny example how the American-style insanity looks.

Its still cheaper to live in the USA when your earning potential is 2- 3 times, or beyond, what you can earn in Poland.

I agree. A breakfast at Gromada Hotel in Warsaw was about 10 bucks. A breakfast in Chicago is about 10 bucks. Polish income paying American prices - not good.

Well, the Trump voters jumped into deep water without knowing how to swim, and they are still screaming MAGA while they are drowning. Let's put them out of their misery and tie a 100 pound rock to their feet.

The only salvation for the US is to become a truly one-party country

I'd prefer to abandon the Electoral College instead. If that fails, let's try your solution. One party only ... Democrats ... no, not really ... :)

you obviously aren't listening

"La la la, I can't hear you" is the battle cry of the mainstream conservative these days. So tell me, how is life in your alternative reality?

Rich Mazur

Analogies work as a backup for the facts, not as a replacement for them.
I can be very specific about what went and is still going wrong with the program Trump voters signed on for. Please, kindly, reciprocate and you and I may actually have an adult conversation. What you just wrote is a throwaway, political-rally nothing.

Much much better then it was under Osama, thank you for asking.

I'd prefer to abandon the Electoral College instead

I can understand your wish.
Have you ever looked at a map of our country if this were to be done ?
The metropolitan areas are all Democrat that would control the vote.
No wonder you would prefer that.

the battle cry of the mainstream conservative

... you've GOTTA remember this...
Here's a man standing almost 'COMPLETELY ON HIS OWN'.
Not only has he got THE ENTIRE DEMOCRAT PARTY HOT after his ass, not to mention the bias Liberal drive bye media EVERY SINGLE MINUTE .....

But also the "RHINO's" / NEVER TRUMPERS / BED-WETTING REPUBLICANS afraid of losing their 'MEAL - TICKETS' ...having to go HOME...and EARN a REAL LIVING, like the rest of us !

All he's got is "us"...the folks out here that put him in office.
These back stabbing, mealy mouthed PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS (NOT TO MENTION THE "DEEP-STATE" ) are scared to death they are gonna lose THEIR jobs ...so they fight Him TOOTH & NAIL !.... and water down EVER damn thing he wants !

That bastard Paul Ryan was the guy I most disliked: 54th SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE !....
WE "HAD" THE DAMN 'HOUSE'...The MAJORITY...FOR TWO YEARS and that damn clown did NOTHING but duck & weave, and use subterfuge to avoid and confuse the issues the Trumpster was working for.

Those bastards watered down everything and Teflon Trump still steam rolled many of them.
So it isn't the Trump voters, (the mainstream conservatives) it's the Professional Politicians and "Deep State" trying to hold onto their do nothing jobs.

Okay, fair enough. Explain to me why so many Trump followers are still cheering when it's bleeding obvious where the country is heading? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that an exploding budget deficit will not miraculously trickle down to the little guy, that a ridiculously high military budget does not mean that we are safer in this country, and that the way how we finance our consumption through debt is not sustainable. Farm bankruptcies are up, I've read somewhere, but the farmers are still putting their hope in Trump and his cronies. I understand that the guy gave some desperate people hope, but it should be clear by now that he is just another con man from NYC. Are conservatives lemmings?

The metropolitan areas are all Democrat

Wonder why people from all over the country move to the coasts? There must be something that is attracting them. Could it be jobs and a better lifestyle?

Much much better then it was

Lets not forget about all the tent cities as well!

One-quarter of homeless people in the U.S. live in California, despite Californians making up only 12 percent of the population.

Liberal snowflakes have turned that place into The American Nightmare.

I don't mean to depress you, but now you are like me because I agree with you. Scary but true. And that is why his base of 2 here - I mean Dirk and I - is showing early cracks. My conservative friends outside this forum feel the same way.

After two years, ACA is not gone, just became ACA light. We are still in those stupid wars 7000 miles away. No wall. The deficit curve shows no signs of relief. Trade deficit is all-time high. And, now, the great negotiator agreed to that moronic South Korean deal. I would need five minutes and a two-paragraph email to turn this five-star US loser to actually be profitable for us. And I am just warming up.

Since nobody reads more than two paragraphs, I will stop here.
