Depends on the State.I

No, it doesn`t depend on the state, it is a federal ruling but limited to K-12 schooling.

NO wonder the country is fugged and here we are paying for those MOFO's kids education and medical and free lunches.

pawian
27 Jun 2019  #1,023

Free lunches, you say. How old are you? Is it possible that today`s immigrant kid will become a scientist who (with others, of course) will develop a cure for cancer which will save your life one day? If not yours, your children`s? It happened many times in the history of Nobel Prizes that a son of immigrants contributed a lot in medical sciences. Isn`t your/your children`s life worth more than those free lunches?

Pawian you have no taxes(less) in Poland.OK ill ask you simple question if you buy a property in poland fully paid off and leave Poland for 10 years do you think you will still own that property even if you didnt pay czynz? You do that in US they will put a lien and auction it off.I know you will have to go and pay with interest etc but your property will be there.Where does all that tax money go? Feeding em immigrants kid and em free lunches etc? I had to endure 8 years of college for my kids.

Hmm, two hours ago it was 20 million, now it is 35. Will we reach 50 by 10 am?

But the average moron will still tell you that he "owns" a house or a condo or whatever. Nobody owns anything here. We are renters even if there is no mortgage. Like you said, quit paying rent, aka RE taxes, and see what will happen.

Hey, cargo pants, you are like me except more polite. Do you have a first name? Even a fake one would make it easier to mention you.

Also, your profile gives Poland as your location and that you don't speak Polish. You posted that you live in NJ. Can you untangle that mystery for me? Not prying. Just curious.

Just curious.

What's the difference between being 'curious' and being 'nosey' ?

am just trying to work out my own opinion about the issue

Bottom line, Americans already give more then their fair share to the world.
What do Poland citizens give in comparison for example ?
It has been explained to you ten times now yet you keep coming back with what if's.
So for one last time so you don't have to ask again........
America has homeless Vet's that fought for this country living on the streets, Vet's that are denied healthcare that they deserve, college tuitions that no one in Poland could begin to afford, (about $3000 minimum per class for foreigners), Americans going without health care because it is unaffordable, required insurance on houses and cars......things that you have no idea the costs in America that you don't have in Poland.

We can't afford to adopt these people that immediately go on government assistance that pays them better then what our own citizens get.
The money in these funds has run out.
American citizens are tired of sacrificing for the world (ie: European military protection) so instead of taking on more debt because of people who don't want to fight to have a better life then why should I have to keep sacrificing instead of enjoying what I have worked for.

America fought and died for our freedoms with a whole lot of people sacrificing everything they had including their lives in many cases.
It's time these third worlders start doing the same instead of demanding that what someone else worked for belongs to them.
(And when I do give it is never enough, they always want more and more and more) ENOUGH ALREADY !
Now please do not reply to this post with how I am cold hearted because this is simply my personal opinion.
And yes I am one cold hearted bastard when someone demands that I give them what I sacrificed and worked for to make my life more enjoyable.

Americans already gives more then enough to the world.

No, I won`t. I fully understand your stance and I cannot be sure if I didn`t adopt the same attitude if I was in your position.

you have no idea the costs in America that you don't have in Poland.

Yes, I know sth about it, that was one of a few reasons I didn`t want to stay in US when I had a chance 30 years ago.

This would remove the need to cater to the Latino swing voters

Did you watch the Democratic clown car debate last night? My question is, are you running for the President of the USA or Mexico? Typical pandering from the left, open borders and our greatest geopolitical enemy, climate change. lol

Trump summed it all up with one word......boring!

So, rephrasing your sentence from common sense point of view, continued occupation of Germany became too expensive for US taxpayers.

There lies the elephant in the living room: Americans, with their self-inflicted concept of exceptionalism, are a special class of morons suffering from a bad case of the messiah complex and the notion that their resources are unlimited. A deadly combination for the morons while the Chinese are laughing hysterically.

The political who*es in DC are only too happy to deliver to their mental patients every four years and when in office.

My question is, are you running for the President of the USA or Mexico?

Or Puerto Rico......that greasy little weasel.
That is EXACTLY what I was saying to myself joker.
They started speaking in Spanish and the big red flag went up like, hey buddy, this is America, an English speaking country so speak English.

You are what we are trying to get rid of not elect for a president.

continued occupation of Germany became too expensive for US taxpayers.

Not just Germany but all of Europe with NATO.
Face it Velund, the USA is NATO.
Let Europe protect themselves even though the USA will end up bailing them out again.
I see the U.K. fighter jets escorted the Russian air force along the U.K. airspace again today.
The USA just did it last week off our coast by greeting Russian bombers with fighter jets.

I fully understand your stance and I cannot be sure if I didn`t adopt the same attitude

Hey pawian, the USA is the most generous country in the world giving more foreign aid then all of the rest of the countries in the world put together.

Enough is a enough as all we are doing is enabling these beggar's to continue to beg.
Hell even little Ireland is right up there in being in the top of the list of the most generous.

Rich Mazur

...the USA is the most generous country in the world giving more foreign aid then all of the rest of the world put together.

Giving away money it has to borrow because it does not have it....Brilliant!
A science fiction movie script like this would be rejected is too much fiction.
Just curious...What adjective goes best with the irresponsible idiots who borrow and stick their kids with an unpayable debt to feel "generous"?
Imbecilic?

I see the U.K. fighter jets escorted the Russian air force along the U.K. airspace again today.

My correction here.
Royal Air Force jets in Estonia took to the sky to intercept Russian military aircraft for the second time in one day, the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defense said.

msn.com/en-us/news/world/royal-air-force-jets-scramble-to-intercept-russian-planes/ar-AADsxEc?li=BBnbfcL
I was only half listening to the news but when I read it I see I misspoke.

stick their kids with an unpayable debt to feel "generous"?

Rich it is past the point of return for us, our kids, our great grand kids and their great grand kids so tell me who cares anymore.

I know I don't if they forgive student debt to the tune of well over a $Trillion$ that was borrowed by those worthless millennial punks that had no intentions of ever paying it back.

Once reality sets in and the bubble bursts and these leeches lose the cell phone service and morning Starbuck they will be jumping off roof tops to my approval.

Hey, JR, you are supposed to cheer me up and tell me that I am full of sh** with my pessimism. Now I have this feeling like I am on a Titanic and was just told that all drinks are on the house.

johnny reb
27 Jun 2019  #1,037

Here is a cheer up for you Rich !
Opponents have called the move by President Donald Trump's Commerce Department to add a citizenship question to the census a Republican maneuver to deter immigrants from taking part in the decennial population count out of fear of deportation.

The intent, these critics have said, is to manufacture a deliberate undercount of areas with high immigrant and Latino populations, costing Democratic-leaning regions seats in the House, benefiting Republicans and non-Hispanic whites.

In April's argument in the case, the court's conservative justices appeared to be inclined to rule in Trump's favor.
The vote is happening today I think and it WILL be in Trump's favor.
With that said I am happy and off to the beach to watch the college girls play volleyball in the hot sun.
Work work work.............. :-)

The very fact that including the question about one's citizenship is even open to a debate is a proof how insane the American political correctness really is.

But thanks for trying...
I am going to look at some cars before I put a bullet in my head.

Rich Mazur
27 Jun 2019  #1,039

My pessimism was justified...The Supremes just turned liberal stupid and the citizenship question is out.
To my credit, I refused to take the last census and will do it again until I see European American on the form.

Here is a cheerful thought based on the sick realization that the other guys are more screwed than we are. From The Hill:

If the U.S. bond market is worried about where the U.S. economy is headed, the European bond markets are positively petrified as to where the European economy might be headed. As if to underline this point, a record $5 trillion, or around half, of European government bonds now offer negative interest rates.

As an example, one now has to pay the German government 0.35 percent a year for the privilege of lending it money for a 10-year period.

In the EU, that mattress you sleep on looks better and better as a place of deposit.

Gold and silver rounds Rich.
They don't rot or burn, they only tarnish when buried out back under the rose bush.
Paper money is only as good as the paper it is printed on.
I would never keep my money in a bank.
I put most of my money in gold back in the fall of 2000 when gold was at $400 an ounce.
As of last Friday it was at $1400 per ounce. :-)

Not the hassles and problems and fat fees as real estate though.
Figure in property tax, income taxes on capital gains, insurance, maintenance, commissions, it doesn't stop.

Jonnhy, do you really bury your gold under rose bushes? Do you visit it often to check if it`s there? Do you use necessary precautions?

I like stress free living.

Hmm, I wonder if rose bushes are the safest place. Ask Cargo about his favourite place, he will advise you where to keep your gold, doesn`t matter it will get tarnished a little.

Jonnhy, do you really bury your gold under rose bushes?

No, I bury my silver rounds under my rose bush and bury my gold under the hollyhocks.

Do you visit it often to check if it`s there?

Nope, out of sight out of mind. Haven't seen it in twenty years.

Do you use necessary precautions?

Only if she doesn't look like she is 18.

Not really JR,I put it in Poland where taxes are 12.5% of your income and literally no expenses, and with US money I have started to invest in Anchor stores with 20 or more NNN leases or just ground leases.Gold they now charge 100/125$ per oz fee to buy or sell.

Cargo about his favourite place

its called bank safe deposit box. Also it dont get tarnished as its in a vaccum packed plastic with serial number.

The US Supreme a-holes forgot what they are for. Somehow they made themselves a supervisory body that, from now, can decide if the decisions made by the president are properly justified. Like a Politburo.

Memo to the Supreme a-holes: your only role is to see if what Trump is doing is constitutional. Got it, morons? It's not within your authority to decide if it's good for the president, for the country, for the world, for the climate, or for the polar bears. Only if it's constitutional!!! Duh!

"Marshae Jones was indicted for manslaughter for losing a pregnancy after being shot in the abdomen FIVE times. Her shooter remains free...."

theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jun/27/alabama-pregnant-woman-shot-manslaughter-charge-marshae-jones

Tell me that isn't true! Has the US gone crazy?

And what has that to do with abortion? Did I miss something?

Rich Mazur
28 Jun 2019  #1,049

Tell me that isn't true! Has the US gone crazy?

No. The case is simple. The pregnant woman initiated the altercation with a reckless disregard for the child she was carrying inside her. Hence, as the legal doctrine says, but for her irresponsible behavior, the baby would have been fine. The shooter is a separate issue.

In some states, shooting and killing a pregnant woman counts as two murders, which, btw, I agree with 100%. This case draws on this doctrine. If she had a baby in her arms, started a fight and the baby died, she would charged with child endangerment and death.

Everything is fine in the US in this respect.

The pregnant woman initiated the altercation with a reckless disregard for the child she was carrying inside her.

How so? Did she ask to be shot?

In some states, shooting and killing a pregnant woman counts as two murders, which, btw, I agree with 100%.

I agree with that too! That doesn't mean I punish the victim(s) and let the murderer go free....

Do you have a link with more infos on that story? Because till now it reads over here like the US law gone totally nuts....
