the Dems case is so weak they want to move the goal posts again,

If the Senate will not call the witnesses the fascists need, the House Dems will impeach the Senate for obstruction of justice.

The problem with them, just like with some idiots here, is not their politics. It's that they are not capable of shame when the lights go on and their pants are down with shi*t on the underwear. Like with the Russia scam and that collusion that was not.

Hey, PF a-holes, what happened to that "bribery" thing?

Velund

Your turn to explain the root of the disease and what to do about it.

I think you will not read it to the end, as it will be about current economical system that encourages wasteful style of living and produce "excess population" that add to garbage quite a bit.

BTW, question to you as to expert. What do you expect to see if will be declared, that every able bodied unemployed person should participate in a some sort of "community works" to continue receiving any welfare benefits? Say, 6-8 hours per week cleaning park sidewalks from sh*t, or 12-16 hours per week sitting at home and watching two or four video feeds from street cameras located in another city (maybe even another state) and immediately signal any felony in progress to be presented to police officers that will react appropriately.

...as it will be about current economical system that encourages wasteful style of living

I got that before. I was just surprised that this would come up in the course of this conversation. I agree that waste is disgusting. That is why I always try to donate what can still be useful to somebody.

every able bodied unemployed person should participate in a some sort of "community works" to continue receiving any welfare benefits

I would be all for it, but I am afraid it would not sell well. It would be called modern slavery.

I have a better idea...Stop all imports. I mean all imports the natives are capable of making at home. We have no business importing every damn plastic trinket from China. Then, we wouldn't need those insane minimum wage rules and there would be no welfare.

We already had this discussion how this would hurt the poor Walmart shoppers, which is a complete bs.

Velund

It would be called modern slavery.

Quite curious to see that definition here. So, if someone is able bodied and do not want to work (totally), will it be a form of slavery to stop paying them welfare benefits (except absolute minimum)?

Rich Mazur
18 Dec 2019  #2195

You are trying to be logical. It will get you nowhere. If not "slavery", the leftists would say that the poor are being "forced" to work like in the NAZI camps. These people, the leftists, have no shame and see employers as "blood suckers" and profits as theft.

Velund

I will not quote Bible here (Epistula II ad Thessalonicenses 3:10 for example), but I like what was said by John Smith, one of Jamestown founders, back in 1609.

You must obey this now for a law, that he that will not work shall not eat (except by sickness he be disabled). For the labors of thirty or forty honest and industrious men shall not be consumed to maintain a hundred and fifty idle loiterers.

Not too far from Bible, of course...

Velund, you are excused by being far away from the insane. I am right here in the middle where the asylum is run by the inmates. This year, the insanity - still in the early stages - has reached a new high ground: free medical care for anyone who can sneak in here, no questions, no preconditions.

You don't expect a rational thought process here, do you? Now, if an idea could give the American fascists more votes, well, then maybe it will be worth their consideration....

I often wonder the magnitude of PANIC if a nuke ever destroyed New York City or say something as simple if all cell phone towers went silent.

Remember Katrina ????
Where B my watta, where B da Kentucky fried ?
They destroyed the Super Dome in three days.
The Gimee Gimee mentality was totally lost on how to manage themselves.
This country needs a major wake up call which I believe is not far off.

Yep, less than a year away....11/03/2020

Watch Democrats blame anything and everything, but themselves, when Trump gets re-elected. lol

The last three generations of this country are CLUELESS to what sacrifice is and what going without means.
I can't imagine if they were ever told "NO", you don't deserve it.
Or as my bumper sticker says, 'Nothing for Nothing' !

We all seem to be losing sight of the key issues. "Infanticide" means the killing of living infants, not unborn life without consciousness, unaware of its

surroundings for all intents and purposes.

@Johnny, you're entitled to your opinion as I'm entitled to the facts:-)

Any being that has a heart beat is living.
How do you like that fact to go with your denial opinion.
HOOT !

Rich Mazur
18 Dec 2019  #2204

Any being that has a heart beat is living.

...a heart beat and the brain activity. The kill-them-before-we-see-them idiots, from the touchy-feely wet noodles that they are when it comes to the migrants, turn on a dime into legalese speaking lawyers with the cringe inducing "but it's legal".

Ask them how they feel about the death penalty, and they burst into tears, followed by a lecture about "cruel and unusual" when the tears are wiped off and they regain the ability to speak.

Any being that has a heart beat is living.

Do you agree with abortion before then?

johnny reb
18 Dec 2019  #2206

We are not debating my personal opinions here Lenka.
I do agree that abortion is between the individual woman and God Almighty.
God knows the heart of the woman and her circumstances so I would never judge that.
I would like to see a law enacted that after a second child that can not be supported by the parent or parents that the woman have a choice between having her tubes tide or welfare as well as having the father being snipped.

Rich Mazur

I do agree that abortion is between the individual woman and God Almighty.

You are being too kind. It's between the woman, God, and the society she chooses to be part of.
The simplest logical test of the so-called rights - the right to abort included - is this: what if all those who have that right decided to take advantage to that right.

We have a right to vote and if everybody voted, no harm to the society. If every woman decided not to have kids, big problem, which we cannot solve by forcing women to have babies, but we are not obligated to allow the licensed physicians to facilitate abortions - just as we do not provide free transportation to the polling places to vote.

BTW, we already control what is on the list of the approved medical procedures, so reversing that baseles insanity, Roe v. Wade, would be consistent with that approach.

I cannot have my healthy legs amputated just because it's Wednesday and I don't feel like clipping my toenails.

Why isn't there anything in the news about the Russian probe ?
George Nader was charged earlier this year with child trafficking and transporting child pornography.
A businessman who helped broker a meeting between an ally of Trump and an official of the Russian government has been indicted for allegedly funneling millions in illegal campaign contributions to support Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Talk about corruption, abuse of power and election medaling.
And the Trump haters would STILL vote for lawless Crooked Hillary !

Animals too, Johnny, have a "living heart", some believe even a soul, yet does killing aka putting to sleep, a dog equate with killing a sentient being, that is, a human organism?

Don't necessarily always go by what is written in the Good Book. After all, it is a collection of stories told by illiterate people to other illiterate people down through the early centuries:-)

johnny reb
18 Dec 2019  #2210

putting to sleep, a dog equate with killing a sentient being, that is,a human organism?

Dogs don't have souls but you wouldn't know that because you are convinced that the Holy Bible holds no wisdom that still applies today as it did down through the early centuries.

You are so smart it is scary.
I see you are not working again today.
When do you go back ?

Lyzko
18 Dec 2019  #2211

All a question of human interpretation.

Lenka
18 Dec 2019  #2212

We are not debating my personal opinions here Lenka.

I was just curious as the beating heart seemed to be what made the difference.

Lyzko
18 Dec 2019  #2213

Perhaps we have a simple misunderstanding of what it meant by "soul".
In Latin, the words "animus", from which is derived "animate", also "animal" refers to a basic life force, not necessarily confined to humans.

Figure Aristotle was a pretty sharp guy who knew more than a thing or two about what separates, "soul" from "spirit"!

The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they're are ignorant; its that they just know so much that isn't so. - Ronald Reagan

johnny reb
19 Dec 2019  #2216

All a question of human interpretation.

Jesus Christ inspired words were not from a humans interpretation.
I understand how a self proclaimed jew boy that does not even worship in a synagogue such as yourself denies Christianity and the Holy Bible.

the beating heart seemed to be what made the difference.

Nope, as soon as the egg is fertilized ......life begins.
Taking that life is nothing short of murder.

Lyzko
19 Dec 2019  #2217

I don't deny either faith. I reiterate that the word "faith" itself indicates belief in something because of what is needed, not necessarily what factually is! The Bible says that G-d created the world in seven days. Now how long was a day, considering that what you and I read in St. James is obviously a translation from languages other than our native English, ergo, we are reading someone's honest version of what G-d did or did not say.

Because the Bible states something needn't make it the living Gospel, no pun intended:-)

johnny reb

Abortion is immoral, said the pro-life Republicans Elliot Broidy, Tim Murphy and Scott DesJarlais, except when it comes to my mistress...

johnny reb

I don't deny either faith.

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery.
