I completely agree. We must disincentivize these migrations.

Build good borders (walls, fences, high-tech surveillance, beef up and support border guards), pass clear policies of zero-tolerance of allowing illegal entry, no welfare benefits, and reform and streamline the legal entry process.

It's not only for our benefit, but it'll benefit the migrants from putting themselves in the danger of trekking through dangerous/deadly terrain and putting themselves under the "care" of human traffickers. If you know it's improbable you'll cross the border into the promised land, you'll be less likely to begin that journey. We saw that happen during Trump's term (especially the last two years).

I thought Britain sent special force guys into VN, but under the auspice of being Aussies or USians, after the war escalated. Not saying a brigade, but they had a presence. What I remember is an uncle say they were Brits and I vaguely recall my uncles talking about Aussies, too; so they made the distinction. I dunno, might be worthy of research.

Well, as it stands right now, it's two Democrats who are keeping those poisonous bills from becoming law. I wish there were more Manchins and Sinemas on the Dem side of the aisle.
