So, I am in Denver for a few days. Upon arrival in Salt Lake for a transfer you can see, just by the way people carry themselves, dress and talk, it is a conservative community. Arriving in Denver I am greated by a fvcking purple haired freak wearing a skirt. Said freak is obviously a man trying to act or look like a woman? I dont know why. The divide between passengers that spoke to the greater and those that did not was obvious. Because we were two hours late people missed connections, and those same people walked right by the freakshow.

Denver is a pretty progressive leftist stronghold, while the areas outside the city are not. Very divided like Poland in many ways. Going to be an interesting few days here if this is how it started.

Prayer in the classroom, compulsory or otherwise, is a separate issue from the presence of G-d in school!

Students, staff aka teachers, janitors, the principal etc. always had and continue to have the right to pray in school. The only proviso is and was that it be done in private.

There's a myth going around that prayer in school means some announcement comes over the loudspeaker every morning in the form of a prayer, undoubtedly Christian, to which every pupil, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Atheist or the like, MUST respond or else.

This is not nor was it ever the case. I ought to know; I attended public school during the mid-'60's both in NYC as well as small town PA, and as a Jew, never felt that I was being forced to do anything against either my religion or my conscience.

By taking GOD and prayer out of the schools there has been a huge decline in discipline, accountability and morals to mention a few which is destroying America.

I was in Denver 4-weeks ago and I was shocked. Last time I was in Denver was back in late 90's. It was a wonderful city back then. Now, it feels like its soul is dead. Going into downtown, homeless encampments line the sidewalks.

I read some local rag that was talking about how to solve the homeless problem in Denver-nothing inspiring. It was all about building affordable housing. The majority of the homeless I saw wandering the streets of Denver like ghosts were mentally ill and obvious drug/alcohol addicts. Affordable housing will solve very little for those people.

Rarely saw a cop patroling the downtown streets. The place is sad. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.

That seems to sum up America right now, just as some American posters on here have claimed.
I have only been to America twice, so I am not a great judge.
My first visit was to Boston about 35 years ago.
It was an American city but was not dissimilar to London with a huge Irish population.I loved it!
About 10 years ago we went to Dallas in Texas, or to be more precise, we stayed in Irving.That was a totally different experience.I did not feel the warmth that I felt in Boston.Texans were very friendly but I felt they were a bit false.But their BBQ's were the best I've ever tasted!

Since then, America seems to have gone massively downhill.
Something needs to change.

I have been coming to Denver for thirty years. The last time I was here before COVID they just legalized marijuana and things were changing. Today it is a $hit hole or drugs and rainbow freak shows. Homeless everywhere. Cant wait to leave.
