That is a joke of taxes compared to the US.In my State on NJ a mil $ commercial property has to pay minimum of 25k a year in taxes and residential at least 20k plus insurance and if its in flood zone then forget it add another 4 to 6 k on that.Freaking insurancem,which is also a scam in that sue hungry country..

With sales and property taxes, you have some kind of control on paying those taxes-you can either buy or not buy certain goods, services, property, etc; whereas, income tax is compulsory and the inly control you have is to make less.

LOL depends what you do,I was always in small business so I always had small income to show and my kids went to pvt schools(OK that was my choice) but when now I am all done with businesses why am I paying high property taxes for those immigrant kids schooling who cost over 35k a year just in school.

I will get 3 figure SS thats it and no retirement funds,all I depend on now is on my investments.I never cared about SS or any retirement fund.

It all depends what you do in life,if you work retirement funds and SS is mostly the source of a limited income and its the opposite for business owners.
