You arguments make no sense, and do not even remotely resemble the facts of what is happening in the USA. Mental illness is a huge problem and getting guns out of those ill peoples hands should be a priority. Getting illegal guns off the street another priority. Thats it, those are the only two gun problems that really exist. Everyone in the USA knows these are the issues. Notice no one is calling for a ban on guns at all. No one not even extreme left wing democrats. People call for a ban on assault rifles, and frankly I am for that ban. A shotgun for special purposes is enough to protect your home easily. Gun control? Absolutely. Making guns illegal will never happen.

How do you criminalize gun ownership when it is protected by the US Constitution? You cant without a constitutional amendment. That will never happen in the US or Canada for that matter. Notice Canada with an extrememly high rate of per capita gun ownership does not have the shooting problems or crime problems the US has. They have one tenth the population, lots of guns, very low gun crime rates, and extremely low mass shooting rates. They also have lower numbers of ciminals with guns, and people with mental illness with guns. People are the problem, as in most cases of the worlds problems.
