So if the value of a $10 million dollar house's value goes up to say $12 million you have to pay tax on that $2 million every year, even though you haven't sold it.
Then if the value goes back down to $10 million you don't get that tax money back and when you do sell it you pay taxes AGAIN on the whole $10 million.

People who will never have to pay capital gains, will never understand them. As an example, I bought a property in 2001 for 160K, its now worth close to 500K. Under Kumala's plan I will have to pay 44% of the capital gains on the increased value of 340K when I sell it. Because I was smarter than other people I get fvcked so this cvnt can pay for illagals and other bullshit. The only saving grace I have is a 1031 exchange, that then denies me the opportunity to take the profits. I pay tax on my income, to pay property tax, to pay sales tax, to get taxed on smart investments on money I was already taxed on. The tax proposal is on Americans making over a million a year. Currently anyone making under 400K pays 15%, above that is 20%. And while some may think a million a year is a lot, it isnt. A million a year, and maintaining property, family, paying for college for children, paying for health care, along with all the other expenses of life, goes pretty quickly. More money also means more expenses, higher property taxes amoung other things. Where my last proprty in the US is, I pay an incredible amount of property tax to a county that has more cash reserves than nearly any other county in the state, and they keep going up.

I just watched her stupid CNN taped and edited interview. She is an idiot. Asked about inflation, she did a deep dive into insulin cost controls for seniors and that was about it. Completely telegraphed and edited bull$hit. Two socialists on TV who have set out on a course that would destroy the economy further, add to deficit, and try to redistribute wealth, while continuing to tear the fabric of the American dream apart. Anyone voting for this woman is an idiot.

This is interesting, because one million Euros per year is an unimaginably high sum in Europe.
