2016 Presidential Elections in the US

Hey, you guys! I NEVER said Bill was the best. Far from it. From my perspective, he was strictly a half-loaf man, if that. Look at the amnesty for foreigners south of the border, many of whom were criminals. They were cheap labor who took jobs away from tax-paying Americans, even if it was Clinton's and not their fault in the matter.

Clinton was also, like Trump, a waffler about expanded trade with Mexico. It was Slick Willy who orchestrated NAFTA, after all, and also, he was fairly chummy with Mr. Anti-Union Man Himself, the later Sam Walton!!!

Back to Trump. He's already damaged goods and if it comes down to him and Bernie Sanders in Iowa, I think we know unfortunately who's going to be elected. Sanders won't fly with Middle America, the gun-toting West aka Red Staters or the South; he's too much of a Northern, liberal Jew, at least the way he's perceived. He's also a thinking man which already puts him in disadvantaged minority in this country:-)

If Trump's haters are going to carry on with their online activism he has much higher chance to win, KOD demonstrators look smart comparing to those LOL

Just took a look at this clip, i could only last about 8 minutes before he just drove me nuts. Funyy that at 0:30 he says "look i dont want to knock anybody" and then spends about 40% of the interview hamering his opponents in any way he can. Trumpkins for me comes across as the village idiot kind of guy.

Why we talk about Donald Trump here? How is he affiliated with Polish affairs?

Roger5
30 Jan 2016  #215

Actually, that's the first sensible thing you've said since joining. Even though I have posted on this thread, I agree it has nothing to do with Poland. Perhaps it's allowed because PF is American and, as we know, the USA is the centre of the universe ;-)

Perhaps it's allowed because PF is American

Perhaps because it's in Off-Topic section so it doesn't have to be related to Poland.

How is he affiliated with Polish affairs?

In all fairness the ratio of American to English threads on the PF is overwhelmingly English.
What do they have to do with Poland ?
the USA is the centre of the universe

Actually, that's the first sensible thing you've said since joining
After reading 215 posts in this thread it seems the European liberals fear the Trumpster winning because they know President Trump could give a rats ass about political correctness, will overturn Obama's Unconstitutional Executive Orders that favor Socialism, beef up the U.S military bases in Poland, refuse Muslim entry into the U.S.A., close our borders, send12 million illegal's back home who suck off our welfare, refuse to pay the unfair trade tariffs the U.S. is getting screwed out of, cut off foreign aid to countries that do not support the U.S.A., treat Britain with same disrespect that Britain has shown him and lastly keep the Clinton Crime family out of office.......shall I go on ?
You liberals in Europe are shuttering to see things starting to swing back the other way to what the MAJORITY of America wants.
Once the youth of Europe see the success of America again they will start voting conservatism which is what you sissies are fearing.
America can see the EU is sinking because of it's Socialism and lack of morals.
I really think you jealous losers in denial want to see America become a sh!t hole like London.
President Trump will make America great again.
I am still undecided and am leaning towards Rubio myself.

beef up the U.S military bases in Poland, refuse Muslim entry into the U.S.A., close our borders, send12 million illegal's back home

Except he won't do any of those things. In fact, Trump will meekly continue the military-industrial complex that runs America, and beyond a few token gestures, we'll continue to see America on the same path as now. Obama's Presidency shows that America is just too big and too complex for one man to radically change.

I will have to agree with you delph..........Doesn't really matter who gets elected.
WroclawBoy is probably the most keen how it really works as much as I hate to admit it.
Here is a cut and paste to how it really works.

You see, its the money that guides the system, not the citizens whom the constitutions of the government and states are supposed to protect.
We the people are not intended beneficiaries of anything.
Everything is meticulously planned to manipulate the masses, and make the rich richer, the poor poorer, and destroy the middle class.
There is one serious flaw with an Oligarchic system: it is entirely self-destructive. It begins to implode when there are too few people controlling too much of the wealth. At this point, "We the People" cannot consume their goods and services because they are no longer affordable. What happens? Generally, extreme disparities in income and wealth. And that, in turn, causes hungry stomachs; and that, in turn, causes revolutions.
And here's the punchline, as old as Rome itself. Divide and conquer. When a society is engaged in mini-cold-wars like police vs citizens, rich vs poor, black vs white, Christian vs Muslim, Muslim vs Jew, etc., then the true winners in the game are the Oligarchs who by dividing all of us, overcome us in a game of death by a thousand cuts.

Now isn't that EXACTLY what is happening in the EU and the U.S.A. ?

Everything is meticulously planned to manipulate the masses, and make the rich richer, the poor poorer, and destroy the middle class.

Its not actually planned like that, thats just how capitalism naturally works. Even if we wiped the slate clean tomorrow and started fresh, it would only be a matter of time before we,d be right back to where we are now. Capitalism is fundamentally flawed. The nature of what it represents and how it works guarantees the conclusions of what we are witnessing right now.

We are not interested in your Donald Trump. He will not send more American troops into Poland because our government is planning to reduce deployment of American army into Poland, we do not need American soldiers on our soil, our soldiers have done braver things than Americans could ever dream of so we do not need anything American like that.

Trumpkins for me comes across as the village idiot kind of guy.

I would agree with that.
I didn't actually know too much about him other than the fact that he's super rich until i watched the Channel 4 documentary about him the other night, " The Mad World of Donald Trump ".
I wanted to throw something at the TV, and that was before the opening credits......
Petulant child springs to mind, and someone who clearly has never been said no to.
I can only hope that educated Americans make the right decision.......

poganin
31 Jan 2016  #224

How is this related to Poland?

Chemikiem
31 Jan 2016  #225

It isn't. It's in the off topic section which if you look says " Off-topic talk not necessarily related to Poland "

johnny reb
31 Jan 2016  #226

I can only hope that educated Americans make the right decision.......

And what educated decision is the right decision ?
Who would you like to see become the next president of the United States Pam ?
It always seems to come down to the lesser of two evils just like in every other country of the world as we have just seen in Poland.
Wroclaw Boy quoted very true words, "If voting made a difference they wouldn't allow us to vote."
We sure the hell don't want another Bush or Clinton running our country so what is there left to choose from ?
You have Hillary who has had many foreign countries donate millions upon millions of $dollars$ to the Clinton foundation not to mention Wall Street and special interests to fiancé her campaign who will all want the favor repaid down the line.
Then you have Trump who has not been influenced in such a gross manner by so many and is using his own money to finance his campaign.
If Trump wins in Iowa next week it may just be over for the GOP primary.
(I will not be voting for him myself in my States primary.)
Besides it is the Oligarchs who will decide, not America's general population.

Lyzko
31 Jan 2016  #227

Oligarchs may well be in charge thus far, yet if things get any more out of hand than they already have, the US will turn BACK into a plutocracy, rather than continuing the New Deal laid down by Roosevelt, the president who more than any other, saved America from turning Nazi ('cuz we were darned close!!!).

johnny reb
1 Feb 2016  #228

That's why Trump is our best chance.
Trump formally was a liberal democrat so he knows both sides.
Tomorrow the voting starts in Iowa.
Trump has New Hampshire next week so it's a do or die for Cruz.
Same on the other side, Sanders has New Hampshire so it's a must for Hillary to win Iowa unless the F.B.I. puts her in bracelets first.

Ironside

because our government is planning to reduce deployment of American army into Poland,

Hmm quite the opposite in fact.
thats just how capitalism naturally works

What is capitalism WB? Could you define it in your own words?

delphiandomine
1 Feb 2016  #230

Tomorrow the voting starts in Iowa.

Johnny, why do the primaries only start at 19:00 local time?

Lyzko
1 Feb 2016  #231

Caucuses start earlier. They are typically the amassing of states' votes ahead of the primaries:-)

Yosemite
1 Feb 2016  #232

What is capitalism WB? Could you define it in your own words?

I find the following a basic but accurate assesment of the various ism's

Capitalism = The means of production in private hands for profit
Communism = The means of production controlled by the government
Socialism = The means of production owned and controlled equally by the people

Lyzko
1 Feb 2016  #233

"Socialism = The means of production owned and controlled equally by the people" (....with the added assistance of the Federal Government)... let's not forget that either:-)

That's what the New Deal was all about and as a result, the years 1947-1965 were among the happiest and most productive years in US or even world history!! You can't make money without spending some of it.

Yosemite
1 Feb 2016  #234

Im talking about real socialism, thats never actually been achieved. As it stands now, a healthy mix of capitalism and socialism is the best we've managed to achieve. Problem is though the capitalist lobbysts with their profit driven agendas have a habit of killing of socialist ideas through propaganda and such. I can think of no better example of this than the average American sincerely believing that they are better off under an insurance for private health care scheme.

Lyzko
1 Feb 2016  #235

I agree. So does Trump, by the way:-)

johnny reb
2 Feb 2016  #236

I can think of no better example of this than the average American sincerely believing that they are better off under an insurance for private health care scheme.

I can, Socialistic Mandatory Obama Care Health Scheme.
The people were duped into what a great thing it was until they tried to use it and found out most Doctors and Hospitals refuse it.
It was intentionally designed to fail which it has.
The big lie was how your health care cost would be decreased by $2500 per family and you could keep your same Doctor.
Both blatant lies out of Obama's mouth.
I just did a friends income tax for her. She always has more taken out of her weekly paycheck so she gets a refund at the end of the year for what she owes.
Not this year as she was penalized for refusing to be forced to buy Obama Care health insurance.
They took $325 right of the top of her income tax return !
How can a government force someone to buy a government program and fine them if they refuse ? Totalitarianism !
Obama insisted on it for his legacy.
So tell me more Wroclaw Boy about Americans sincerely believing that they are better off under a private insurance plan which indeed costs less then the failed Obama Care plus they get to choose the plan they want and the Doctor they want and the Hospital they want.
The first thing on President Trumps agenda is to dismantle Obama Care at the citizens request.

Lyzko
2 Feb 2016  #237

Johnny, the government doesn't "fine" you for NOT using Obamacare. It WILL however penalize anybody who claims a disability he or she doesn't have, namely, for good old-fashioned insurance fraud!!!!

There are many misunderstandings out there regarding Obamacare. Our president has said so himself.

The problem my family and I have with it is that the phone staff are often student-aged space cadets with no blinkin' knowledge about what a caller might ask.

TheOther
2 Feb 2016  #238

dismantle Obama Care at the citizens request.

43% are for Obamacare, 42% are against it. So at whose request will Trump dismantle the Affordable Care Act?

govexec.com/management/2015/04/poll-shows-more-people-obamacare-dislike-it/110620/

You really want preexisting conditions and lifetime benefit caps back? You would love to get kicked out of your contract because you cost too much? Oh, I forgot: you are already on Medicare and don't care about all the others in this country...

johnny reb
2 Feb 2016  #239

If it is not a fine then please explain what it is to us.
If you don't have private health insurance or Obama Care Health Insurance you will have YOUR MONEY on your tax refund taken from you to pay the fine/penalty for not having any.
Am I correct ?
Is that not extortion ?
Someone can demand/force that I buy their product from them ?
If I don't they have the right to steal my money out of my pocket ?
What name do you put on it Lyzko ?

Lyzko
2 Feb 2016  #240

Stealing money out of your pocket, the last time I checked, was called income tax!
Figure you're a fan of that Bundy guy out West, huh? "Ain't no government fellers gonna set foot on my land, dagnabbit!!!"
