Terrible way to go about life - I think - but what does it matter what I think, since it'll be another 45 years before I can say: "that Novi guy, he was too gloomy" or "goddamnit he didn't share even half the negatives". Just hope you can extract more satisfaction out of every day, than just being grateful for still being around.

I won't tell you that life in Russia is all sunshine and rainbows, but I do think the people are happier than people in the States.
The happiest people in the world apparently live in Bhutan, which has a GDP per capita of $3,300. At the same time, extremely rich Finland and Japan have a suicide epidemic. Not everything can be measured in material terms.
