Deepak isn't dead, he's in a drying out clinic for the next 5.5 months (obviously without internet access). Friend of mine (and yours) bumped into his wife when she was back in Warsaw. Sad story. Seems he got so drunk so many days in a row that he had a seizure in his flat, collapsed on the floor and was only found due to a puddle of urine leaking under door. The ambulance crew couldn't get in, as he was up against the door, so they called the police to break in. But when the door went in one of his shoulders was badly damaged. Good news is that he's expect to make a full recovery, but he can't be left on his own in Warsaw again, so won't be coming to Poland any more.

This means he hydrated quite well before passing out - the mark of an experienced alcoholic.

As they say in the athletic world - "Hydrate or Die-drate".

I don't know if it's 24 hours. The first floor one in a certain 70s building. I went there once (with a regular poster from here) who likes shisha however the service was on the crap side of crap and we didn't go again. A shame since if they really took advantage of the 70s concrete semi-modernist/semi-brutalist architecture and the unusual windows they could open the chicest cocktail bar in Warsaw in those premises.

I doubt he'd been there since they're choosy about clientele and beer is cheaper at that dive bar round the corner where all the alkies and older prostitutes used to go.

Yes, it is. A mate of mine likes to get up very early at weekends and go there for breakfast when the strippers from the two clubs near there go for after-work drinks. I ask him to see if the staff there remember a short fat Indian bloke with an American accent who drinks far to much and embarrasses himself.

Unfortunately it's real. But it does make sense of some of the insults he used to fling. He loved to call people impotent because he was all too aware of how painful it is to be that and he wanted others to be thought of as how worthless he felt.

It's very similar with Jim: he loves to accuse people of abusing children when there's a sealed court file about him and his daughter that's part of the case from his wife trying to recover custody of their daughter after she fled the family home due to domestic violence.
