Yes. Regarding two-state solutions or negotiations with so-called palestine, that boat sadly sailed the day they paraglided in and murdered the Israeli festival goers.

Israel`s previous error was limiting their withdrawal from Palestinian lands only to Gaza Strip. They still occupy the West Bank. It is their real error for which they are paying now and still will if the occupation lasts.

Israelis have a choice now - either make peace with Palestinians and relinquish the West bank today or be destroyed in 15- 20 years time when more Muslim countries or terrorists develop or buy nukes in the black market.

Israel is the ONLY party which has offered peace, has even given land for every peace treaty!

The arabs don't want peace, they want the eradication of Israel and all there living Jews....there is nobody who would negotiate any peace on the arab side. Or he and his family would be dead next morning, probably massacred in the worst way imaginable.

Something us westerners need to realize is the ME is one big tangled ball of yarn and when you pull one string it effects another seemingly unrelated string... and, as you point out, the Saudi-Iran tug-of-war looms big around that region.

Spot on and I wish more people acknowledged this. Westerners often massively oversimplify the issues and rich history of the MENA region. People also forget that the troubles in Gaza long (long long long) predate the modern state of Israel.
