A reasonable comparison, would be to at least compare living standards to those which are available to Palestinians in Jordan and Lebanon. I won't ask to compare their living standards to Gulf Arabs, or Moroccans. Just not to another occupied rump state.

I find it very humorous - extremely humorous - how quickly certain Western people use the Ukraine or Gaza conflict as an excuse to vent all the xenophobia that has been bottled up.

Well.... I can maybe see your logic. Poles are not deported to Silesia, instead they stay firmly in control of Western Ukraine and maybe even Western Belarus. Once, I joined in to listen once again to what the retards discuss, and it ended up being hilarious. David (the host), started making jokes about how very soon there will be many Russian mail order brides available, because of how many Russian guys got killed.

Some conscientious Ukrainian woman, spoke up to express her concern regarding the use of such stereotypes. Then another Ukrainian guy, asked this David to apologize. Rather than apologize, this dimwit ended up shutting down the whole space, and then later wrote some passive aggressive post about how "we should all be on the same team".

Ukrainians and Poles should know who they are getting in bed with, when they invite these NATO cheerleaders in.

No, I am not sarcastic....with Poland and other neighbours which once had a considerable german minority there is peace since many years. A peace which also survived the end of the Cold War...with no war between us upcoming.

My conclusion is that sometimes an ethnic cleansing is unavoidable to achieve a lasting peace. I guess Russia would today not stay deep in ukrainian territory without these russian enclaves....and so will the Palestinians only come to accept their new future when they don't fight a living in another country, Jordan comes to mind...which already has a big pali majority!
