Not really, geographical imbalances like this are perfectly normal in other parts of the world. Think of the deep South in the USA, South Italy, the Extramadura in Spain and so. East Germany has made temendous progress since reunification, but there are also a lot of factors that might make it impossible to fully catch up to the West, like its' ageing demography. You also can't really balance that most mayor companies have their headquarters in West Germany because of the Cold War (e.g. Siemens).

I don't think it's normal when someone in West Berlin earns 20% more for the same job than someone in East Berlin. Cost of living in the east isn't much lower than in the west anymore, so the rationale for different wage levels is gone.

I have a solution as ingenious as it is simple: move to West Berlin if you want to make more for the same work.
With more following your footsteps, eventually, just as the law of gravity, the law of supply and demand will prevail and the unfair and unjust wage differences will disappear. It's amazing how it works without the Ministry of Equal Wages.

It feels as if half of Europe is moving to West Berlin or wants to...hence the housing crisis, even now in East Berlin!

The gov should do more to spread the pressure...around Berlin there is alot of free housing but no people....

West Berlin is a ********. I would not even want to hang dead over a fence there.

I´m a police apprentice in east Germany. My colleagues in west Germany earn slightly more and have an additional day free per year.

But they live in ********* and have higher cost. So even when i earn slightly less, i can afford far more. For example i can save up to 700 € per month. They live in a shoe box apartment in some ******** city like Frankfurt or Munich, while i live in a house with huge garden at the forest. We are ethnic homogenous, have almost no crime and in general higher living standards than the west

Add the fact that we have better infrastructure and you know why i would never move to the west. There is a reason why many young east germans return lately.

As for destroying enemies, i believe in sucess and i only have sucess with using extreme ways to crush people who tried to treat me unfair. I escalate it to very high degrees.

I give you an example right after school, one guy who got a contract to be apprentice in a bank threw a paper ball at my head and made a joke. He laughed. I laughed.

And few days later i wrote an email to his bank, telling them that he told me they will fuse with another local bank and if that means i can get money with out paying a rate at their ATM.

He was fired.

IN the case of my boss...who was hated by all others since he was a dumb Wessi...he moved his office into a new one and some old papers were left for teh janitor to move.

"Someone" send an report about a data breach to the superiors and well. booom.

I´m generelly known as a calm, funny guy but when i dislike someone and want get rid of that person, i usually have no mercy.

There's so much disparity even within Berlin when it comes to this. I noticed people whining online about the rent in Berlin, but then when you asked them why they didn't live somewhere like Neu-Hohenschoenhausen, they were all "but but" - meaning "it's not fashionable".

I have bad news for you btw, the strongest support for AfD comes from police forces in Germany.

And even worse news for you, my opinion is rather moderate compared to some of my colleagues and superiors. Some of them say things, that i would not say. And for some of them, AfD is too soft.

Im ok with that. You are free to believe what you want. All what matters for me, is to do the best for my country. And its by believe from my heart, that my service for my country does help and that by supporting AfD i can change things to a positive. So that i and my people in general have a good future.

Nah...Frauke Petry left for other reasons, that's I'm sure!

She lost a power struggle inside the AfD, but she is no team player...she is a natural top dog, leader or nothing. Her breaking away and burning all the bridges in the process was a detailed planned masterplan. But she couldn't calculate for the botched coalition talks after the election and she miscalculated her attraction for other AfD personal...not many followed her over.

After that it has gone downhill for her..she even lost the dispute about the name of her new party. Now she is mainly all alone by and for herself, no alternative to the Alternative.

Some could wonder how her career would had gone if she had stayed in the AfD, but I think her personality wouldn't had allowed to stand back for any cause...

Reminds me abit about the other try to breakaway, Sarah Wagenknecht from Die Linke....she didn't make it either, she gave up recently..."burned out" she said...

Maybe trying to start a grass root movement can't be successful in the end...she should start an alternative to Die Linke. Somehow I think she would have alot more support and follower than Frauke Petry!

It's a mystery why he's posting this stuff in an English-language forum about Poland. Perhaps he wants to make a pretend attack on the radio station at Gliwice then start shelling Westerplatte.

I know the german Quora...questions about and over and with the AfD pop out there daily and everybody can answer them and go into discussions (and get likes or dislikes).

Actually I don't know of any forum where AfD sympathizer are not allowed....it will be always a matter of netiquette..threatening to nuke anybody won't go down well anywhere.

Well, if he really is a police trainee, then some of the stuff he writes here might land him in a lot of trouble. People who want to work for the state are expected to show a certain conduct, and he regulary breaks this.

Let me rephrase it. Can I post this in Germany or the UK: I hate Muslims and I want all Muslim immigration stopped.
Would I be allowed by a forum operator? Would I be prosecuted?

I´m ok with that. The AfD changed enough in just a short time. The worst of Merkels madness was stopped by the sucess of the AfD. Its breaindeads like you, who believe we want a total regime change. We see that 12% in all of Germany is enough to force politics into a 180° change in politics.

And what i see as best result of the rise of AfD is, that it destroyed the silence that existd through Merkelism. It broke the crust and restored democracy.

Thats what i´m proud for.

In result, AfD was the one who shouted "The Queen is naked!"

As i said, even Bratwurst Boy will agree with that.

If he really is a police trainee, he would know better than to provide so many details that could be used to identify him.

I know exactly what i can say and what not. For example you will never see me saying something bad about a certain group of people. From my positions you may assume what i think but i would never say openly muslims are this or that. Or migrats are evil.

Demanding hard regulations for migrations and being far right is not a crime yet. Even so people like you would like it to be.

I like the regulations very well and so far thoughts are free (i know...you hate that idea but well too bad for you.)

In Germany we have §130 "Incitement to hatred" as part of our Criminal Code but also Article 5 of our Basic Law "Freedom of speech".

You dont know my name. You dont know my location exactly. You dont have my IP, since i use a proxy and an acces point which is currently stated to be from Iran. This is an american based forum. USA don´t cooperate in giving out detailed informations. Plus i said nothing wrong.

I can say what i want and i know full well what capacity exists to look for someone regarding that.
