Let's debate American Politics

@Harry

Actually many Hispanics esp Cubans and quite a few Mexicans guatemalans other central and s americans etc like trump. Certainly more than previous republicans anyway.

@Ziemowit

According to aol.com it was an 'elaborate' sting by Ukrainian authorities.. But didn't nk end up with the engines anyway lol??

A lot of countries cooperate with nk they just so it through shell corps holding companies and such. They provide super cheap labor military hardware at low prices so they're always gonna have takers. Apparently some north Koreans even work in polish ship yards up in the tri cities and run hostels next to their embassy. They also have restaurants and mineral trading as well as other import export businesses throughout Asia.

The one I laugh at the most is the one about Trump having ties with Russia to influence the election. lol

What happened to the Lefts Russian Hacking card to influence the election ?
Awfully quiet in that corner lately because the truth is slowly coming out and no Santa Claus for the Libs.

People are beginning to realize the whole Trump/Russian link is just Kaubki theatre.

US Congressman Dana Rohrbacher has been smeared by the liberal left mainstream media as a "Putin troll" after he met with Julian Assange, and confirmed what most sane people already know...that the entire "Russia hacking the DNC emails" story was a complete fiction made up by Crooked Hillary, and the Democrat party, to negate their loss to the Trumpster.

And how much precious time and money the Democrats have wasted to undermine Trump's presidency and try to destroy America.

There are more important things right now such as dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Harvey, don't you think? But don't you worry: Robert Mueller and the Senate commission are on it. The Orange Dude will be kicked out of the WH soon enough; especially since he's now making lots a powerful enemies in his own party.

dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Harvey,

Surely 'big government' there shouldn't get involved in disaster relief. After all, it isn't 'the American way. Let them make a 'posse' with guns to deal with it...

Just leave em like after Katrina. No big deal.

28 Aug 2017  #936

Harvey might well be G_d's revenge on Texas for votin' the dude in the red tie into office in the first place!
Told ya the Reps would finally get their comeupance.

The crying shame is, as in all such situations, that the innocent have to pay the same horrible price as the guilty.
To the theater of disgrace there is no admission charge:-)

I see what you're saying, but in times of national disasters Americans tend to forget their political differences and help each other. Even Texans. Still wondering though if the proposed cuts to FEMA's budget will materialize now.

He does the kicking!

He also does the shooting. Mostly in his own foot... :)

God's revenge is going to be a whole lot bigger then a hurricane on the American people Mark and it ain't gonna be just Texas.

Americans tend to forget their political differences and help each other

Spot on as it was the Churches that helped the people the most after Katrina, it sure wasn't G.W. who sat on his hands or the F.E.M.A. failures.

There are more important things right now such as dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Harvey, don't you think?

No, what I think is that it was a hoax started by the melt down Democrats who refused to believe Crooked Hillary lost so they start such a rumor to try and get Trump impeached.

I think it is going to be traced back to Crooked Hillary and her cohorts.
That is why now the media just wishes it would go away after a nine months of promising there was collusion in the election.
That is what I think.
I do wonder what the Liberal Left drive by media will have to say then as the egg drips off their faces.

Houston's not Texas, any more than New York City AIN'T New York State!! There's more dyed-in-the-wool bigots round about Albany and surrounding hamlets than in the entire South, 'ceptin' nobody talks about it, 'cuz it ain't pcLOL

Went to college Upstate, and some of the stuff I heard said to me'd uncurl your curlers, dude:-)

The so-called faith-based relief efforts were only part of a larger picture. Whether they helped the most, that I don't know (you've got a source for your claim?). It doesn't matter anyhow, because any help is welcome in such a disaster, and there's no difference between the helping hand of a Christian or an atheist.

Are you saying, by the way, that TX shouldn't take federal aid?

Ok, this is not 1st of april joke, it is real. For the first time MSNBC decided to cover some truth about antifa, their graphs must be very low to make them digress from their usual fake news narrative, or is there some other reason, what do you think?

"Russia hacking the DNC emails" story was a complete fiction made up by Crooked Hillary,

She knew her campaign was doomed and did want comes naturally to Dems. Lying, Cheating, Voter fraud, Fake News, anything to help them win an election.

It totally backfired and they are still crying rivers....LoL

Ok, this is not 1st of april joke, it is real. For the first time MSNBC decided to cover some truth about antifa

Probably because their ratings are in the gutter and nobody watches them anymore.

Here some Antifa info you won't see on tv

Whether they helped the most, that I don't know (you've got a source for your claim?).

Without a doubt the churches helped the most, didn't you watch CNN.
The victims were crying on the streets, WHERE BE FEMA - WHERE BE FEMA !
As in the back ground were big soup kettles and sandwiches provided at the expense of the churches.
It was talked about for weeks after on the news about how the churches stepped up and took over.

there's no difference between the helping hand of a Christian or an atheist.

Only an atheist would say such a thing by not knowing the comfort and the power of prayer.

Bieganski
29 Aug 2017  #947

what do you think?

There are four possible reasons.

The first is just business acumen.

News outlets in America make their money off ad revenues and cable TV subscriptions.

Like in most Western countries the public tends to be more center ground and conservative than radical leftist.

The public is absolutely sick of the media and are finding other ways to get information and so they can see how bad they are being lied to.

If the public turns off the news that means they aren't watching the commercials either. So the companies are wasting their money paying for ads.

The second is political worries.

I understand America has elections in some of their states for their governors and representatives in Washington DC. The Democrats don't hold that much power at the moment so they are desperate not to lose any more legislative seats. So this could be an example of at least one leftist outlet trying to shift things more to the center and not continue to alienate voters.

The third is getting caught sleeping with the enemy.

The media are not trusted or respected especially after decades of leftwing bias, tone policing, and political correctness. Within the past few weeks the media was way too quick to jump into bed with Antifa. For Americans this likely took on a whole new dimension. It could not possibly have looked good when the media known for its endless campaigns attacking the right of Americans to own guns (the 2nd Amendment) was now defending Antifa's bloodlust for violence and their aim to destroy Americans' right to free speech (the 1st Amendment).

These images sort of captures how many Americans see Antifa:

If the media is seen as a mouthpiece for leftist violence then they know they have pushed the public too far.

The fourth is that possibly they are being blackmailed.

There is very bad blood between Trump and Mika and her dopey other half sitting next to her. They have already had very public spats. It could be they learned Trump has some serious dirt on them and now they are trying to wave an olive branch at him hoping he leaves them alone (for now) by reporting that he was right and both sides were to blame for the recent violence.

Trump always settles a score; even if it takes years. The book isn't referenced but apparently Trump wrote a chapter on the topic of revenge. It's a bit long but it might be worth listening this audio reading attributed to him to get some context of the way he deals with people:

@jon357

Quoting fabian society George Soros' mentor I see...

So where is antifas tolerance for conservatives? Why are they so against anyone who voted for or supports Trump?

Id argue orwells description of fascism to be more apt: 'The word fascism now has no meaning except in so far as it describes something not desirable'

jon357

Quoting fabian society

A good man, albeit over tolerant of fiscal conservatives like Hayek.

So where is antifas

Ask them.

fascism now has no meaning except in so far as it describes something not desirable'

Fascism is certainly undesirable.

...because any help is welcome in such a disaster, and there's no difference between the helping hand of a Christian or an atheist.

Only an atheist would say such a thing by not knowing the comfort and the power of prayer.

You might want to explain that to the thousands upon thousands of people across the land who are not helping as part of a church group or as members of a particular denomination, but simply as caring individuals.

"But take the heart! After the purge, we will live in the worker's paradise free from racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and opression"

Doesn't it sound a bit like what Lenin and his Bolshevik comrades announced to Russia back in in 1917?

johnny reb
29 Aug 2017  #952

You might want to explain that

Only an atheist would say such a thing by not knowing the comfort and the power of prayer.

What is there to explain as my statement is quite self explanatory.
I never said that non - believers were not helping.
I said that it was the Churches of this Country were the ones that provided food and shelter after Katrina, not FEMA.
The Churches of this Country come through to take care of the people of this Country during a disaster before the government does.
The Salvation Army is one of first Churches to help during a disaster.
I know you have no use for Christians and their beliefs TheOther but please give credit where credit is due.

And the looting gradually begins...

Can't believe what I saw in my news deed this morning - washington post title reads antifa violently attacks peaceful right wing demonstrators.

washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/08/28/black-clad-antifa-attack-right-wing-demonstrators-in-berkeley/

I think finally the left and center left msm outlets are realizing that giving the wink and nod to antifas violent assaults against conservatives whether they're neo Nazis or everyday non racist joe six pack trump supporters. Hell there's even several vids of them attacking a black guy with a MAGA hat.

@jon357

True fascism is undesirable. If you replace the Nazis in the lil popper cartoon with pc Marxist violent fanatics itd be more relevant. After all they're the ones that are trampling over what America stands for by silencing anyone with whom they disagree and preventing their right to assembly whilst violently attacking people because they don't agree with a conservative ideology. To antifa it doesn't matter whether its a trump rally which thousands wish to attend, a speech by a fox anchor or editor of a conservative website - they're all Nazis to them. It doesn't matter whether you're even a black or brown trump supporter you're a fascist just as much as any rednecks marching with swatstikas. If you're a conservative, a christian, a legal gun owner, support or voted for trump, a supporter of border control, etc - you're the enemy to them - a fascist who isn't allowed to voice his or her opinion and deserves to be attacked if you voice your opinion and assemble. Id say that sounds like fascism..

The funny thing is that antifa protestors are oftentimes paid by soros. He even runs it like an ala pyramid scheme. You can sign up to protest on his websites to get involved and you can make extra money by recruiting friends. There's ads on Craigslist too for protesting - for example Greenpeace openly advertises 'protest' jobs all the time in the newspapers job section and on craiglist. There's a video antifa uploaded to youtube meant to call out soros chanting soros we want our money because apparently soros was late on paying them. Apparently he also owed (perhaps still owes) blm marchers way back from ferguson. There's even websites where you can hire whole groups of protestors. Of course not all lefty protestors are paid but its evident that quite a few are. Its definitely organized and they do bus people to certain protests. I remember even when there were protests in Chicago - several blocks away from the demonstration site there were dozens upon dozens of buses lined up with black clad protestors walking to and from. They'd go protest get tired hang out for a bit to grab a snack and drink near the buses, go back to protest and attack innocent people, then get bused back. This was a big affair when multiple local news channels proved that this wasn't some grass roots spontaneous protest. What a joke lol. These broke a$$ losers can't get a real job so they decide to do protesting gigs. You can find out more about this directly from antifa members as they're rather open about it. - read their forums, reddit, 4chan (although that ones politics more dominated by the right ) etc

Here's another apt quote this time from Churchill, a real British hero and patriot of western culture - 'The fascists of the future will call them selves anti-fascists' he must have had a crystal ball to see into 2017.

jon357
29 Aug 2017  #956

If you replace the Nazis in the lil popper cartoon with pc Marxist

You could replace apples with aardvarks - it wouldn't make them anything like each other.

The rest? TL:DR

Dirk diggler
29 Aug 2017  #957

That's too bad maybe you'd learn something but you're too closed minded and biasd. Unfortunate because you limit your knowledge. Also itd destroy your theory that antifa are the good guys. Even the washington (com)post finally sees them for what they are.

The question is would you stand side by side with antifa? I'm willing to bet no.

jon357
29 Aug 2017  #958

destroy your theory that antifa are the good guys

There you go again, trying to ignore the very basic fact that opposing fascism is the basic default position of any decent person.

And very good news that a well-known American-run hate site, Stormfront, has been taken offline.

Dirk diggler
29 Aug 2017  #959

Exaclty that's why thank goodness at least some left leaning outlets are finally calling out their own fascists.

'The anti fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascist' - Churchill

A real man... Not a broke pencil neck paid to protest and spout the theories of a hypocritical dead beat raging alcoholic and adulterer
