I don't know why there's so many black children that grow up with fathers. It's not like there aren't any whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc. that grow up without fathers. However, in the black community especially in poorer areas the rates are so much higher than any one else. One of the many reasons for this is because a single mother with 2 3 kids with no father present qualifies for more government programs hence receives more funds.
There are successful blacks though too. Like the area of bronzeville in Chicago has what many call 'buppies' meaning black urban professionals. Also there's several south suburbs like matteson or country club hills that are majority black but are very clean, have low crime, high rates of home ownership, etc. It's more populated by older residents and a lot of families though. In Atlanta too there's a lot of successful blacks and they have their own areas with palatial homes.
Personally I kind of wish in a way we had conscription or at least some kind of like bootcamp that teens go through once they hit 18 or something or like even the last semester of high school. We need to toughen up the young generations. Most of them know nothing beyond facebook, playstation, and complaining and whining that they aren't getting free stuff and have to work if they want to be successful. Make a system kind of like in Israel where everyone has to serve in the army for a brief period of time. It would teach youngsters discipline, leadership skills, working as a team, and most importantly responsibility. They'd get use to waking up at 5 6 AM and making your bed absolutely perfect very quick.
One of the craziest things I've seen on TV (I think on Tucker Carlson) is a daughter threatening to sue her parents because they didn't want to pay for all her college tuition and wanted her to work for part of it. That's how damn spoiled kids are. Hell I was mixing concrete and painting with my dad when since I was like 12 13 or so years old. I got my first 'official' job at 15 stacking tiles in a warehouse at $9.00 an hour which was actually a pretty good wage especially for a teen since it was like $3 $4 higher than the minimum wage at the time.
