Let's debate American Politics

To repeat myself: The owner of the Dallas Cowboys was okay with it.

I just heard on our local news that some bars in Chicago are refusing to show tomorrows night Bears game.

Apparently there are many ppl that aren't ok with it, especially veterans are getting ticked off now.

T.V. pay per view is refunding sport packages because of it too.

they are supposed to have an college education but we all know thats a joke

The athletes at my school, especially the guys playing basketball, would chose majors like parks and recreation, forestry, sports management, or some other BS which required no work. A few of the more intelligent ones would at least chose something like English, business, etc. where they at least have a chance making more than $12 an hour after graduating. Most of the guys on the basketball team were idiots but nonetheless the teachers would pass them since it was afterall a division 1 school with basketball bringing in a ton of revenue in for the school.

That might well be, but how many people really cared about it before Tweety Bird decided to open his populist potty mouth again? The NFL shouldn't even be of Trump's concern. Aren't there more pressing things on his table right now?

"President should not be telling the Washington Redskins to change their name-our country has far bigger problems! FOCUS on them, not nonsense," Trump tweeted on October 8, 2013.

"President should not be telling the Washington Redskins to change their name

It was the Injuns that want it changed not President Trump.
It was o.k. for 100 years until Political Correctness took front stage.
I suggest that they change it to the Washington Foreskins.

Every time a sports player kneels or is a no show during the playing of our national anthem they are giving America the finger.
They are giving President Trump the finger, they are giving anyone who voted for Trump the finger, they are giving We the People the finger.

You do realize that, right ?
Give them the finger right back.............refuse to watch them.

"President should not be telling the Washington Redskins...

Donald Trump on Twitter, 10/05/2014:
"I'm not going to be watching much NFL football anymore. Too time consuming, too boring, too many flags and too soft. Focus on other things!"

Donald Trump on Twitter, 08/31/2013:
"Be prepared, there is a small chance that our horrendous leadership could unknowingly lead us into World War III."

Donald Trump on Twitter, 06/04/2014:
"Are you allowed to impeach a President for gross incompetence?"

Ha ha ha!

johnny reb

Focus on other things!"

Like getting elected President of The United States.

our horrendous leadership could unknowingly lead us into World War III."

Like obama did by not stopping North Korea when he had a chance BEFORE N. Korea was a credible threat to the U.S. and it's allies.

Now look what a mess we have because of obama's failures.

Are you allowed to impeach a President

Evidently not as obama signed unconstitutional executive order after another which is an impeachable offense.
Seems the Donald is two steps ahead of your comprehension.

If I, for example, were the principal of a high school, and it were school procedure for every student to recite the the Pledge of Allegiance in front of their teacher every morning, yet I noticed several students were simply sitting there silently (not texting, chatting, gabbing, drinking a soda, eating or napping), I would probably NOT say anything to them right then and there!

I might have a conference in my office with a few of them and inquire as to why they took it upon them to exempt themselves from participating. I certainly wouldn't either suspend or even expel them for acting their conscience.

Oh, and by the way: Monday Night Football ratings are up for the season, way up for Week 3. LOL!

I have noticed that all of you who think it is o.k. to disrespect the American flag have never served in the American Military.

You take the freedoms that American soldiers give us yet have given NOTHING back to deserve them.
Not even the respect to stand at attention with your hand on your heart out of respect.

for acting their conscience.

How pleasantly put.....I would call it disrespecting the American flag, disrespecting the American soldiers that gave their lives for the freedom so they could "act their conscience" and disrespecting the country that they live in.

That's what I would call it but then again I am not a Commie Liberal and I do love my country that allows me more freedoms then any other country in the world because of that flag.

The squirrel trick doesn't work anymore. The Dotard is responsible now

Oh no no no no, Bush was blamed for eight years when obama refused to take responsibility.
Now it is obama's turn to take his blame for the next eight years.
See how that works son.
Screw your squirrel analogy.

Monday Night Football ratings are up

Says who, the Liberal media.
Wanna bet they don't put their t.v. camera's on all the empty seats in the stands ?

I'm not suprised by those players they are by and by not the greatest brains in the universe, I'm supprised by the owners are they really that deep down sombody ass or are they so idologically bised that they risk they income in their political game against the president?

Do they think that American people are just a mindless rabble?

Dirk diggler

I have a message for all these traitors - #breakaknee

@johnny reb
Its respect - not even patriotism. I wasn't even born in this country yet you better believe out of respect for the USA I'll stand with my hand over my heart. Previous generations had to deal with depressions, wars, fuel shortages, all sorts of problems. We don't have any wars or conflicts or issues or some other struggle that masses get together for a common effort. Our struggle is with our own selves.

Do they think that American people are just a mindless rabble?

Yes. Some of the leftists were even pleasantly surprised at the stupidity of the average American for allowing obamacare to go through..

At last nights game ALL the players stood and locked arms in support of the National Anthem.
The Liberal news t.v. camera's just briefly showed the crowd waving American flags like no time before in support of Trump.
The Green Bay Packers even gave all the local police free tickets to the game in showing their support for the police.
The poor Liberal media is running out of things to spin the truth with.

I didn't watch it but good for them. Imo, if you can't be bothered to respect the flag and say the national anthem or even worse burn the flag, you don't deserve the benefits of us citizenship.

The Constitution protects us all, those "Commie liberals" who might actually be guilty of thinking, as well as people such as you, Johnny, who spout hateful, irreverent, thoughtlessly irresponsible, and socially unacceptable bilge merely in order to get attention. Our Basic RIghts make no distinction as to whom they protect. Why then should you?

:-)

johnny reb
29 Sep 2017  #1278

I agree with you Dirk and so do the majority of Americans.
A Cleveland, Tennessee, business owner is pulling commercials from NFL broadcasts for the rest of the season due to ongoing player protests of the national anthem.

President Trump has warned this week that the league's "business is going to hell" because of the ongoing demonstrations.
While the NFL's television ratings are down 11% year over year through the first three weeks of the season, a league official denied earlier this week that the protests were impacting the NFL's relationship with key corporate partners.

I think the players are starting to see how their protest has backfired on them.

A Cleveland, Tennessee, business owner is pulling commercials from NFL broadcasts for the rest of the season due to ongoing player protests of the national anthem.

Just read that on my feed... good for him! There's a difference between protesting something and disrespecting the US flag and the citizens who serve the flag.

@Lyzko
And what exactly did I say that was hateful? In most countries flag burning is illegal and gets you thrown in jail. Nonetheless the US constitution is the constitution and it protects free speech and assembly no matter how idiotic, which I fully support as a US citizen. Unfortunately, more and more rights and freedoms guaranteed by the constitution, bill of rights, etc. like the right to bear arms, free speech, freedom to assemble are threatened. I see all the time on the news snowflake millenials marching with some stupid sign that says free speech = hate speech. So when conservatives take advantage of the rights guaranteed to them by the constitution its an issue, but not when black football players do? There's a double standard in this regard. It appears as if depending on your ideology and politics determines whether its okay for you to take advantage of free speech, assembly, etc. or not.

President Trump has warned this week

Yawn! You're still listening to that broken record?

Trump on Twitter, 02-09-2016:
We will immediately repeal and replace ObamaCare - and nobody can do that like me. We will save $'s and have much better healthcare!

Donald Trump, The Art of the Deal, 1987:
"You can't con people, at least not for long. You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion, and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you don't deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on."

Will you, Johnny?

No, the NFL said that.

That has nothing to do with the players demonstrating. NFL ratings during the 2016 regular season fell by 8%.

Exactly so why are you trying to blame it on Teflon Trump and act like it is his fault ? :-)
The protests started back in 2016 so how do you determine that it has nothing to do with the protests ? lol
Point is that America is behind President Trump 100% on this one and the players are going to lose.

But if you don't deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on."

Dow jones is at historical high.
S&P 500 is at a historical high.

Fact Check: Trump's 'Highest Stock Market Ever' Economic Claim

newsweek.com/fact-check-trumps-highest-stock-market-ever-economic-claim-6

Claim: "Highest Stock Market EVER, best economic numbers in years, unemployment lowest in 17 years, wages raising"

Claimed by: Donald Trump

Fact check by Newsweek: Mostly True

From WSJ today:

The "Trump trade" is making a comeback, reflecting investors' renewed belief in the strength of the U.S. economy and fresh hopes for business-boosting policy from Washington

money.cnn.com/2017/08/07/investing/trump-economy-report-card

Strong earnings don't hurt, either. Profits for the companies in the S&P 500 are up more than 10% from a year ago.

They're red hot.

The average price for an existing home in June was a record $263,800, or 6.5% higher than a year ago

The trade deficit fell slightly in June from three months ago, to $43.6 billion. That's the lowest since just before the election

He's kicking ass and even your own left leaning outlets are finally admitting he's doing a great job in the economy.

The Fed hiked interest rates again too! And even despite that borrowing has increased

And businesses are borrowing more, reversing a trend from earlier this year. That could be a good sign for Trump and the economy.

The Dow has gone up 4,000 points since Trump won - a new historical record high. And we've been over 22k for going on almost 3 weeks now. Even with all the hurricanes and natural disasters (Trumps fault as well right?) his policies has the market confident enough to continue with week after week of records high.

Ahh the amount of times I've seen young unemployed men call each other 'punk b!tch a$$ n!ggaz' either in person or facebook and then the 'gun play' starts...

This guys right tho... we need more black people like him and TJ Sotomayor and Kollege Kidd (aka the negrotiator - funny guy) to be vocal... Not every black person is supportive of this ridiculous 'BLM' anti-police movement and realizes that their fellow blacks are murdering each other in far greater amounts than any other group, race, etc. Most of the violence and murder committed against black people is by other blacks and that's a fact. A lot of the more intelligent blacks realize and understand that.

Trump has had more support among African americans than any other republican candidate that's for sure. The liberal blacks and their white cuckold allies and liberal Jews hate it - they don't know what to do besides have the blacks call them sell outs and keep with the tired old line of trump's the one being divisive and spew more BS on MSM - although now they're in a bind because Trump essentially singlehandedly caused people to turn away from CNN and other bs msm. Now they've started to be somewhat more objective..

There's far too many punk azz b!tches in the US... esp white males among my generation. Even among people in the hood, no one fights anymore or meets on equal footing - they try to catch their enemy (aka 'opp') either stoned or drunk and shoot them in the head.. total b1tch move...

I know freakin girls in Poland and Ukraine that are beautiful yet tougher than damn near half the young white guys in the West. Did you see a whole lot of black or mexican dudes with pink pus$$y hats on their head during the womens march? Of course not - but tons of white cuck males. and they're freaking proud of it - dude get a clue feminists will hate you and your 'male patriarchy' even if you chopped off your junk and donated all your stuff to some radical feminist group.. Hell there's girls in Poland and Ukraine that can disassemble and reassemble an AK in 30 seconds. Maybe whites in the west deserve to be replaced... idk anymore.. we've become a bunch of pussies who wear pink hats and march for other races' problems and decry white privilege

He took over a healthy economy. During Obama's terms the DOW went up 140%. Let's talk in a year; at the moment Trump's taking credit for Obama's work.

his policies has the market confident enough to continue with week after week of records high

Until it dawns on Wall Street that they won't get the promised tax cuts without adding significantly to the country's debt and getting us into yet another Republican recession.
