The IPCC is essentially operating with pre determined conclusions, namely that human activity and carbon emissions cause 'global warming' and other environmental and climate problems, even though there is little objective scientific evidence to demonstrate 'global warming' is in fact a real phenomenon.

Climate scientists working with the IPCC and other international bodies have been known to not only spin scientific data to fit their pre determined conclusions, but also to outright "fabricate evidence" to support their idea of man made climate change.

Both imply that the other in a discussion is somewhat unable to make up his mind on his own. Especially as neither one of us suffers totally directed news filtering like in North Korea. And even there it's hard to stay brainwashed after a certain age, as real life comes into play.

But in our countries with a gazillion of media outlets spanning everything from the far left to the far right, it's impossible to "be" brainwashed. You have to do it to yourself and purposely filtering out all those news and facts you don't like!

I noticed that to be relevant, it's obligatory to express your (editorial) deep concern about the global warming at least once a month. With that horse almost dead, there are always other standbys like hunger, wars, AIDS, and poverty.

From my experience, arguing that there is no global warming is a loser move and you will be seen as a brainless denier. The best way to shut them up is to agree that there is global warming and immediately ask what's next. Like, what's the plan. Ask to be spared that "we have to do something" if you don't mind being mean a bit.

My favorite is: "What's next that does not include the US sending money to the s***holes all over the world." A warning: this will shut them up but you will never be invited to that party again.
