A rare sexually transmitted disease that causes flesh eating ulcers on the infected person's genitalia has been in reported in England, according to the Lancashire Post.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, donovanosis is spread through sexual intercourse with an infected partner, or by coming into contact with a patient's infected ulcer.
The CDC says the painless disease causes progressive ulcerative lesions on the genitals areas prone to heavy bleeding.
The STD is rarely reported in the United States but is endemic in some tropical and developing areas, including India, Papua New Guinea, the Caribbean, central Australia, and southern Africa.
I'm sure there's no connection ! Right !
Even if there is, as the Italian paper La Stampa said last year, we should be grateful that migrants are bringing in a rich tapestry of "millions of microbes, fungi, bacteria" that "our world has lost" to enrich our "biodiversity !"
Oh gee, we should feel so grateful for these migrants are spreading such a rich tapestry to "enrich" our cultures.
