I like them even though they are copycats of American country.
Of course they are, but it shows that some of us Brits appreciate Country music and a few can actually mimic it really well too!

True and a long time ago....
So called American music has deep roots in Black, Celtic and strangely Norwegian cultures. The same black culture you continuously denigrate in many other threads.

Even well into the 50s it was hard for black song writers to collect royalties.
We all know about American racism in the fifties and sixties and some of the southern states were still very redneck in the seventies.
