A Best all girl band "Wet Leg" from the U.S.A. sounds very much like a Polish band.
Here is one of their songs called, "Wet Leg - Wet Dream".

I am honored that you are reading my posts, Barns.
Thank you for the correction.

No problem, taking a break at the plot.

Wet leg are a newish band and are moderately known on both sides of the Atlantic. I'm surprised you didn't know where they were from.

This is random garbage - both "the composition" and her "voice".

Nobody said you have to like her, but if you fail to see her musical talent you're deaf.

Let me guess ... she is a leftist...

Your prefer the "Horst Wessel Lied", I know...

I normally don't care for girl bands however these girls are good, very good in my opinion.
I just heard of them this summer.
They are rated one of the best all girls bands in the world right now.
Here is another cut from them that I really like.

A little too soft and commercial for my personal taste.

Try to >>listen<< to this one... :)

The melody is by Alexander Borodin, via Broadway.

This may sound strange to you and maybe others too, coming from someone like me who's first loves are Electric Blues. Hard Rock and Heavy Metal but I do love the old crooners too, Matt Munroe was right up there amongst the best!

Winifred Atwell was quite a talent too.

@TheOther

Imogen Heep certainly has a great voice, but this song left me cold.

@Joker

Hendrix "Still raining, still dreaming", one of my all time favourite Hendrix songs and one of the first I ever heard by him.

Lou Reed blows just as bad a Springsteen

Agreed, all £rap!

Best thing that ever came out of San Francisco....Santana

I know a boomer woman who likes him.

Here's a rock and roll classic, slightly pre-boomer. Leeds' finest.

Good old Vincent Crane. In the US people fled the concert venues when he appeared on stage with that hat/ helmet set on fire. They really thought he's the devil.

Santana is great, but I wouldn't have chosen the song that Joker posted. Instead, I would go for this one from one of Santana's best concerts ever:

Blues Project was a killer post!

@Joker

That Santana song is one of my favourites.

Santana is great, but I wouldn't have chosen the song that Joker posted.

That is weird, because I love the song Joker posted and yours too.

@jon357

The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and "Fire" was what turned an ordinary kid in the UK(Me)into a Hard Rock maniac!!!!

I didn't mean that the song Joker posted was in any way inferior - it's actually a great piece of music. But when stating that Santana was the best thing to ever come out of San Francisco, I would have chosen a different song to showcase that. Namely the one from the Tanglewood concert. Listen to the whole set, it's freaking awesome. The band is on fire there.

Another great San Francisco/ Los Angeles plant:

Understood.

And another great post from you, you must be of a similar age group to me and Joker.

It may be another great SF/LA band, but you do realise the singer was English don't you?

Probably close, but don't get fooled by what I post here. As I said before, I worked in the music industry and listen to a lot of different bands and styles.

Of course... :)
Eric Burdon was living in San Francisco at that time.

Whilst I quite liked both of your posts, neither of them "blew me away".

This is more my kinda thing.

Fair enough. Some fun facts, if you don't mind: Primus wrote the title song for South Park, Les Claypool sang it. He's considered one of the world's best bass players. Easy to see why in the video I posted.

@Joker
I really liked the Cold Stares. Never heard of them before even though they seemed to be around for quite some time now (I looked it up, since 2009).

Here are two of the best:

I'm in Africa near the equator, there's a power cut that's likely to last all day, no a/c. I've just sent all the staff home since it's going to be hot hot hot.

A free day. I don't know whether to go to the beach or try and have a siesta...

Janis Joplin jr. from the Land Downunder...

Janis Joplin jr. from the Land Downunder...

Not as good as Janis but a very good impersonator.
She doesn't have that Janis graveling voice after a half bottle of Jack Dania's that Janis liked to indulge in.

There can never be another Janis Joplin, you're right, but Karise Eden has an extraordinary powerful voice. Haven't heard one like that in a very long time.
