Joker

He has great songs, just just play them instead of stopping the show to babbel on endlessly

From the Inner Secrets album.

Somehow that album passed me by, but it was released in 1978, which was the year I met my wife, so I was probably a little distracted..... ;-)

From the slightly earlier album "Borboletta" this has always been one of my favourite Santana tunes.

If you do a lot of driving, especially in the US it is great music.

Changing the mood completely....

Probably the best Rock band to ever come out of Slowakia.

Miloslaw

A truly great and vastly underestimated Irish band.

13 Feb 2025  #679

My last post tonight is from an Irish band that I was lucky enough to see live (Only because an Irish friend from Dublin forced me to go with him to The Marquee in Soho)
And I have to say it is in my top ten gigs of all time!Typically Irish, lots of drinking and dancing we had a complete craic!!!

This one is for the day life on earth ends.

It's certainly depressing that's for sure.

@milo, I liked both of the Irish bands.

Brian Eno - Kurt's Rejoinder

Donald Fagen - I.G.Y

Donald Fagen - New Frontier

All great songs. Steely Dan are one of my favourite groups.

This is my favourite one of theirs:

we had a complete craic!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself but you can't have 'a' craic, only 'the' craic ;) and you can't have complete craic either. You'd have to say 'the craic was mighty'.Regarding the dancing, I had a teaching colleague in primary school who fell down some steps at a gig in a Dublin pub and carried on dancing for the rest of the night, without realising she'd broken her ankle :)) happy days!

in a Dublin pub

Have you seen 'the Dry'?

(for anyone who doesn't know: An Irish comedy-drama about an Irishwoman returning home after 10 years in London with nothing but a failed career and alcoholism to show for it, she's determined to stay sober but her family.... and everything else works against her.) By far my favorite character is her 'szczera do bólu' AA sponsor.

Overly pedantic as usual...............especially when it comes to Irish stuff.
Totally unnecessary.

I am fed up with the trolls and extremists posting on PF, so for now, This is my home.

Just a classic song!We used to play this at the Radio Floss Hard Rock disco and it went down a storm!!! Go figure!

I was just twelve years old when these guys just blew me away...... I got into Blues and Hard Rock when I got older, but at 12, this was THE BAND!!!!

This is my 12 year old self having fun!

I am an Arsenal football fan, but the team I respect most after Arsenal are Liverpool and this is their great theme tune.

I'll end my weird posts tonight with this one.
