It doesn't have one after Auschwitz, Warsaw, Stalingrad, Oradour, Lidice.
All the events you mention took place about 75 years ago - that's
three generations. To claim that modern Germany, a country built by children and grandchildren of people responsible for nazi atrocities, has no reputation because of the deeds of their ancestors is nothing short of ridiculous. Especially that those children and grandchildren have vehemently rejected the nazi past of their country. Also, it would be difficult to overlook the contribution Germany has made after WW2 to build peace and stability in Europe.
As a Pole, I can only repeat what I've already said here in #8,338...
If there is one country that tried to honestly deal with its past and underwent a huge change in a relatively short period of time, it's Germany. We will never forget, but at some point one has to separate historical memory from the current perception and attitude towards the Germans, and three generations seem to be enough time for us to adopt this approach.
Germany agreed to the sanction and is sending help too
Exactly. They are doing their bit and are being quiet about it. Cut them some slack, people.
