Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

I don't "love" Putin.

You've said you do numerous times.

The conservative, hetero, Christian,

But you're not. You're not actually conservative. You're radical. You hold extreme views - and you're not a Christian. Being baptised, making your First Communion and Confirmation doesn't make you a Christian.

One Polish police officer noticed that Polish anti-vaccine Facebook groups

I find it funny that a person like you with your anti-PiS stance and the same time swallow whole PiS narrative and propaganda when it comes to the people who do not fall easily into mass histeria mode.

I would say that proof you are a stupid person. lol!
I think that some people react aversly to the mass histeria and proganda used by government and the oppostion to bust their support amoungs voters. That playing at emotion that is so easy in Poland and where people with same sense asking just wait a sec we need to think about it first are ignored. So they use emptional appeal to the public too.

People can have their opnions and thoughts and feelings but for the politicians regerdles of their option to use it midlessy is a dangerous and harmful thing to do.

The onlt recourse is to use a reason and thinking in our attitude toward importand issues.
You are a part of the problem talking about empathy, feelings and all those feels you like to wallow in.

All pointless "ideologies",

Not for you to decide what is pointless and what it is not based on your likes and dislikes.

Everyone, back to the topic please

A day of nice news.

It looks from this morning's defence briefing that Putler has been turning on his senior officers.

And the U.K. is sending more weapons to help brave Ukraine, specifically long-range artillery, anti-ship missiles and drones.

Not for you to decide what is pointless

It's a discussion forum. It's for anyone to decide what they think is or is not pointless.

What Zelensky did in just 2-3 months....

1. Strengthened the ruble.

2. Actively duped the West for dough.

3. In addition to Crimea, gave Russia Donbass and made several other regions get ready.

4. Turned off gas to all of Europe.

5. Embezzled the pockets of drivers, farmers, entrepreneurs and manufacturers in the EU and the United States.

6. Since the start of the special operation, almost all major competitors have left Russia, making room for Russian entrepreneurs.

7. Begged for so many weapons that even Scholz declared: the Bundeswehr is running out of weapons "for itself".

8. Gathered all the bottom of the Nazi subculture - tattooed marginalized, murderers from Europe and other countries into one place, where the Russians gradually recycle them for organic fertilizer.

9. Uniting the Russian people around Putin. Such strong support for the actions of the President and his cabinet Russia has never known in all the terms of his rule.

10. Uniting Russia with China, which, for the record, will soon replace the U.S. as World Leader.

11. Made a bunch of inordinately gullible and online-active people look like idiots for the rest of their lives, because the Internet remembers everything.

A true Kremlin agent 😂

What Zelensky did in just 2-3 months.

What Putin achieved in just 3 months: made Findland and Sweden seek to join NATO, made Ukrainians (even those Russian speaking) hostile to the idea of Ruskiy Mir probably forever, made most of Europe wary of Russia and looking for ways to buy energy sources other than from Russia - quite an achievement indeed

Paulina
19 May 2022  #2408

@gumishu, I'd add to that:

- he made many people start to hate Russia,
- made people realise that it's not just Putin, but that there's something wrong with Russian society too,
- has shown that Russian army is a mess
- made many people support Ukraine

And I'm pretty unhappy with France and Austria and Germany and Hungary too....

France and Germany are quite literally a joke. Turkey downright embarrassing the way it is trying to extort NATO. Hungary, just a turd world country trying to have second world problems.

strengthened the ruble.

Oh yes, this looks like a country with a strong currency....

making room for Russian entrepreneurs.

massive amounts of copium, it's not an entrepreneurial culture (since achieving success is an invention for someone to steal it from you).

something wrong with Russian society too

the Soviet disease...most of the republics have thrown it off to varying degrees but Russians are still stuck in sovok reality... passive and obedient to the tsar and content to be robbed as long as they don't have to make decisions for themselves....

jon357

And I'm pretty unhappy with France and Austria and Germany and Hungary too....

The same. French duplicity is well known though I'd hoped germany, a place I like, had truly moved on from its past. From day one of the invasion it's the position of those two countries has been fairly obvious. It seems a lot of their business community like the idea of imperialism and are prepared to put money before atrocities. About Hungary and Austria, who knows; do they want their empire back too?

Poland's geographical location is awkward, however as a country and a nation it is so much more than an economic or political satellite to russia or germany. Perhaps a new alliance in Europe is needed, an alliance of equals, aside from the malign clutches of the EU.

Strengthened the ruble

Currencies always go up when stocks and commodities are low in value. It's artificial in this case since Putler is using currency reserves held abroad to shore it up.

Turkey downright embarrassing the way it is trying to extort NATO

russia would love for them to leave NATO. It won't happen though.

mafketis

a lot of their business community like the idea of imperialism

I think they just like the idea of business as usual and if Russia isn't invading _them_ then they don't much care. Remember the German government was ready and willing to do business with a Russian puppet state (when they thought that was a likely outcome).

But both france and Germany seem more interested in protecting Putin than helping Ukraine.... if you ever want to know how the partitions happened in the past... look at Macron and Scholz....

What Putin

Putin A very good American agent in Kremlin!

germany,

As I said they promise a lot and deliver very little. They haven't send those weapons to Ukrianie.

jon357

I think they just like the idea of business as usual

That is true. So many of their companies (IG Farben for example) are happy to turn a blind eye to literally anything as long as the money keeps coming in. That's business; it rarely has morals. The shameful thing is when a government causes or enables it.

But both france and Germany seem more interested in protecting Putin than helping Ukraine

Hugely so. And the issue of kill switches in armaments sold by them (germany was even selling russia arms after the invasion started and France has an unpleasant history of installing kill switches and withholding that from their allies) is a potential scandal for the future.

It's a sign that the De Gaulle quote about Europe being France and germany and the rest being decoratin has worked so well for them economically (very hard to enter a competitive tender in either country however both governments squeal if they don't get contracts elsewhere) that Theyn ratler see thousands die than suffer inconvenience themselves or lose out on the chance of making a fast buck from joint venture reconstruction projects.

It's very significant which companies are still trading in russia and which aren't.

Interesting to see how my suspicions turned out to be true. A few weeks ago I proposed that Germany's reluctance to provide heavy weapons to Ukraine was for some posters just a pretext for German bashing and even if Berlin made u-turn, it would not change this biased picture.

Because Germany is de facto siding with Putin! And you're defending that!

Scholz is a weakling afraid to stand up to a cheap tinhorn dictator.... and he's actively protecting the vile Russian vvhоre Schroeder!

Everyone can see that France and Germany are Putin's cheap ******. The poor people make sure that Putin does not lose his face, it is a pity that they do not have it themselves.

bruegel.org/2022/04/a-sanctions-counter-measure-gas-payments-to-russia-in-rubles/
PS.What kind of weapons did Germany provide? Calls to surrender to Putin are not a weapon. So far, all Germany is doing is financing Putin's war machine.

Tacitus
19 May 2022  #2421

is de facto siding with Putin!

Germany is one of Ukraine's most important financial, economical and now also military partner. Germany has also clearly condemned Putin's war of agression and agreed to economic and financial sanctions that are hurting Germany as well. How is that "siding with Putin"?

What kind of weapons did Germany provide?

The same as other countries. Anti-air and anti-tank missiles, MGs, ammunition and now anti-air tanks and heavy artillery.

Great post on what Putin did in 3 months!

France and Germany are quite literally a joke

Agreed.

just a pretext for German bashing

You seem to be a very paranoid person and your comment is completely wrong.
Europe just want Germany and France on board and to stop being so stupid and selfish.

@Alien

Because Germany is de facto siding with Putin!

Maf is right and you are wrong.
No question.
No debate required.

Tacitus

on board

On board with what? Germany is already fully committed to support Ukraine. The only lines that won't be crossed are those that could lead to WWIII, fatally undermine Germans' defence capabilities and cripple it economically. In other lines no other country would be willing to cross either.

Really?
Have you done as much as the UK have done?

Have you stopped buying Russian gas and paying for it in Roubles?

What heavy weaponry has Germany sent to Ukraine?

How much training and intelligence has Germany offered Ukraine?

Germany and France are the disgrace of Europe.

Back on topic:
Polish Parliament passed the ban on importing RuSSian coal to Poland. In 2021 Polish businesses imported 8 million tons of it for a billion $. No more.

Yes, it will entail higher costs to bring coal from other sources. However, RuSSia has to be starved which is a priority now. :):):)

just a pretext for German bashing

So pointing out the hard fact that german companies frequently put profit over ethics is "german bashing", is it? It's not that long ago that (in West germsny at any rate) companies were allowed to offset bribes to officials and politicians in foreign countries against corporation tax!

Germany is one of Ukraine's most important financial, economical and now also military partner

important military partner? You're 'aving a bubble bath mate! They were supplying russia after the invasion started, donated weaponry that was literally mouldy and even gave them WWII helmets with the swastika on!

In other lines no other country would be willing to cross either.

Don't bet on that. WWIII has in a sense started already and some countries are facing up to that. Germsny and Austria are still not only buying gas from russia but are even paying for it in roubles!
