Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 3

....maybe climate activists?

No. It's hard to hug a tree and dive at the same time.

....especially as the german gov made already clear there will no gas coming through probably ever again. Otherwise there are really some radical movements developing already.

But still....it makes no sense to me that the Russians would cut themselves off of such a huge possible income even more ....but then....it's Putin.....

it's Putin.

Putin's perspective might be: no gas export through the pipelines in his lifetime - maybe he doesn't care what happens to Russia next

That I take for granted!

but then....it's Putin.....

This is getting annoying. Just because you and others don't like the guy that is no reason to claim that he is mental.
So far he turned 15% of Ukraine into Russia. If that is U winning...

Just because you and others don't like the guy that is no reason to claim that he is mental.

There is no rational thinking about his country behind his latest decisions...that has nothing to do with "liking"!

Germany made good business for many years with a rational, if autocratic state leader...till the day he got mental, sorry!

So far he turned 15% of Ukraine into Russia. If that is U winning...

....only if he can keep it! He won't be the first leader gone mental who bit off more than he could chew in the end.

The thing which I find absolutely hilarious is that the Europeans DO speak of sabotage but DO NOT even mention who the obvious culprit is. So, especially for the braindead Europeans, I have this: a video from President Brandon himself promising to stop NS2 if Russia "invades" the Ukraine.

Needless to say, I totally agree with Lira - the Anglos are willing to completely destroy Europe to maintain their dominion over the EU.

And to my great sadness, I have to say that the people of Europe RICHLY deserve what is coming their way. Simply put: if you have no self-respect, why would anybody have any respect for you?

@Novichok
But just a few weeks ago he had 23%. If thats R winning....

And now reports are coming out that since Exon left Russia, that production estimates have been cut in half for oil and LNG. LOL So strong the Russian bear is. LMFAO Its a toothless old childless bear that is getting its a$$ kicked by Ukraine. Now with an oil price cap coming, the squeeze gets tighter. Putin is a Fing retard at the wheel, making Rainman look like a world leader.

Nord Stream Cui Bono? Blinken, in no one's interest. Baltic Pipe. Russia's final warning.

Germany made good business for many years with a rational, if autocratic state leader

Indeed. Part of the reason Berlin got blindsided about Putin's intentions was that they do not make sense from the perspective of a rational man who is thinking about what is best for the country.

A rational man would not jeopardize his nation's biggest economic relationships (especially after paying dozens of billions of Euro for a new pipelinel) all for invading a poorer country.

A rational man would try and negotiate in order to seek a still somewhat satisfying conclusion for the war once the setbacks become too great instead going for a poorly organized mobilization that also puts his own position in danger.

From now on, even if Putin were to eventually ground the Ukrainian down and take Kiev (a very big if) the costs for Russia would be so great that it would be a Pyrrhic Victory at best. No rational man who thinks of his country would decide upon this course of action.

Berlin got blindsided because it has never understood russia and evern 45 years of the DDR didn't change that.

The Baltics and Poland kept warning that russia is a dangerous irrational place run by dangerous irrational people and were ignored. Scholz still talks as if putain were a rational player and as if some kind of mutually beneficial relationship with russia is still possible...

Step one: accurately diagnose the problem (hint: it's not putain, he's a symptom, not the disease).

Tacitus

That is not true. Brandt and Kohl understood Russia perfectly and got Ostpolitik and German Reunification as reward. Both had no illusion over the nature of the regime even though they managed to get along personally well with some leaders.

Schröders' failings are obvious, Merkel's are worse. Pretty much every source agrees that she thought that Putin wanted to destroy the EU and she knew how ruthless he can be. Yet she signed on further gas deals.

Bratwurst Boy

Merkel's are worse.

....that I still live to hear that being admitted by you! *wishes tear from eye*

Tacitus
28 Sep 2022  #3464

Of course. She had no illusions regarding Putin yet permitted a course that would lead to such strategic vulnerability. That is worse in my book than thinking (like Schröder and others did) that Putin could be trusted. She may have been Europes' greatest leader of the last two decades, but this is going to leave a huge stain on her legacy.

Bratwurst Boy

Absolutely! *nods*

But in the end they all did their part....the SPD, the FDP, the CDU/CSU and even the Greens with pressing the Atomausstieg...nobody really is without blame on Germany's current situation. And they are all mostly in power now....

Tacitus
28 Sep 2022  #3466

Sure, but then again the two parties who are not in power (and never were), the Left Party and AfD are even worse regarding Russia (and de facto indistinguishable on this issue). Historians will later contextualize this but that is for later.

So the German dream of getting cheap and friendly gas from Russia has been shattered for good and ever?

Bratwurst Boy

The shock was to great for that....the changes that brings now to our society and industry and energy infrastructure are irreversible!

mafketis

to our society and industry and energy infrastructure

Is anyone in Germany seriously thinking of exploiting your own natural gas reserves?

I think what's-his-face has finally accepted keeping one nuclear plant open for a bit (too little maybe too late) but there's a lot Germany could do but instead is pursuing dumb policies with renewables that are nowhere near ready for mass exploitation....

Bratwurst Boy
28 Sep 2022  #3471

...tell that the Greens. Even to keep our last nuclear plants open to avoid a total blackout is a problem for their hardliner!

PolAmKrakow
28 Sep 2022  #3472

Just now, the USA is sending another 18 MLRS to Ukraine. Doubling the total that is there now and kicking the $hit out of Russia. Now WTF is Putin going to do about that? Nothing but burry more Russian boys.

If sacrificing another thousand to five thousand dollars a year kills Russia then it's a sacrifice I am happy to make. All the Russian coxuckers here wouldn't give a dollar to help Russia and they wouldn't volunteer for the mobilization.

Who else?

A country staunchly supporting Poland, with greater energy independence than most of Europe, not in the EU and with a centuries old naval tradition, some very good submarines and the best Royal Navy in Europe.

Of course, it's more likely to be a team effort nowadays work Poland doing the deed.

That or a private entity with sonsub capabilities and a vested interest in petrochemicals. This by the way covers some large companies, some who play dirty, many Oli sand has traders, some who play very dirty and various people in finance, stroking a white cat.

..till the day he got mental, sorry!

That was the day after he saw a video of how the snake is getting closer and closer. The day before that, he was debriefed by his spies in the US that the US wants to dismantle the Russian Federation and that the 2014 "revolution" was just another step toward this goal.

Did you know that Russia has spies in America and knows what Biden is planning before he does?

some very good submarines and the best Royal Navy in Europe.

...but not good enough to stop the invasion. In fact, your Royal Navy assists them to land safely and offload the precious cargo..

to stop the invasion

The invasion is in Ukraine. So the post seems very unclear, perhaps vexatiously irrelevant.

Royal Navy assists them to land safely

Ah, Rich doesn't mean the invasion at all.

Navies don't let civilians drown, although it looks like he's confusing the Royal Navy with the RNLI, a voluntary organisation that exists to prevent drowning at sea.

Perhaps he didn't understand my post, possibly due to autocorrect. Perhaps he did and should stay silent for once.

There are a lot of private entities with access to sonsub unmanned submarines and explosives. And there are several countries in what interest it is to stop the r*SSians supplying their gas to Europe.

Anyway, it's very good news that the pipelines are damaged and important that this is permanent.

Wrong! Two options: straight to hell or into Ukrainian captivity.

Like Hitler who issued the infamous Nero decree about destroying anything which might be used by allies conquering Germany.
