BBQ is on full in Ukraine. Orc is free for all wild animals.

All the Russian coxuckers here who think the war is justified are arm chair warriors.

Actually, we don't. We just remember that the guy with the biggest fist in the bar needs no justification. If you (editorial) want to play justification games, you hire a lawyer and go to court.

What we do is deny the oh-how-awful whiners access to high moral ground and the ability to claim that Russia's reasons to invade and kill people it does not like are uniquely bad.

But I am ready to admit that their propaganda is not as good as that on the "democratic" side. Maybe it's the language barrier or lack of practice. Who knows...

@Novichok
Forget the propaganda for a minute. Give a real reason. A real threat that Ukraine posed for Russia. Not existential, but a real and present threat. Propaganda on any side is for fools.

A real threat that Ukraine posed for Russia

From Ukraine - zero.
From the US MIC and their 10x bigger military budget compared to Russia's plus the need to justify that budget plus 13 aircraft carriers groups the US does not need to defend itself - huge.

Now, why would Russia, in reaction to the above, attack Ukraine is another question. Just as why the US attacked Afghanistan. Superpowers do strange things...

A real threat that Ukraine posed for Russia.

nato bases air control ,covering sky over moscow,many many issues. British base in ochakiv. i mean why da fuk brits need military base next to Crimea?

from security point, ukraine as nato member would be strategic disaster for Russia.

Good answer, gregy.

@Novichok
NATO denied Ukraine membership in 2008. Denied again in 2022. No US or NATO bases in Ukraine. No US exercises in Ukraine. Afghanistan was the result of 9/11, pretty simple answer and justified by that actual attack. Russia's paranoia is no reason to attack another country, it is simply a mental disorder.

@gregy741
Again. Get an education. NATO denied Ukraine.

All of this is over paranoia, or simply a land grab. That's it. NATO and the other claims being made by you simply do not exist in reality. Thank you now, the Lithium should be taken with food, and no more alcohol for you.

gregy741
31 Jul 2022  #698

. NATO denied Ukraine.

thats not even matter if ukra is a member or not. if NATO build bases in ukraine. nato bases would be a threat without ukra being member. its control ,monitoring.ect,

and just cus ukra was denied acces in 2022 doesnt mean it wouldn't get it in 2025.
not to mention,that refuse nato membership to nato was a result of ongoing conflict.
so one would say if russia didnt intervene in ukraine,ukra membership would not be denied.

@gregy741
If my aunt has a d1ck she would be my uncle. All the "IF" in the world don't mean sh1t. NATO doesnt build bases in non member countries. Ukraine was denied in 2008, and in 2022. They have been told they will not get in. Paranoia treated by Lithium, run and get some.

Did you notice how basically everything you say is ignored, because the opponents prefer to pick one sentence to address and to act as if they debunked your all arguments?

@Veles
Yes. I hope one day they just leave. There are plenty of pro Russian boards and they just waste our time here. Ignorance is bliss as they say.

Remember that "report" on russiant TV about the parents who turned their son's combat death into a sweet white car? Of course you do!

let's watch again..

twitter.com/francis_scarr/status/1548992984946974720

Galeev's sources told him that spot wasn't shown in Moscow or Petersburg.....

And there's heavy advertising for recruitment in the poorer areas of the country (roughly... everywhere that's not Moscow or Petersburg)... and they're taking 'recruits' in their 40's and 50's.... In other words... this "report" was an ad....

"older guys who lost any hope and offer them huge monetary compensations. You probably can't even imagine how much money they pay by the standards of destitute province. And they accentuate *salary*, not some BS like fight on fascism. That's for Moscow"

And here are the results, behold the majesty of the "Tiger" Batallion!!!!

I didn't ignore and had my post removed.
If the US is justified invading Iraq, Russia is justified invading Ukraine - except 100 times more. 6000 miles vs 0 miles.

and just cus ukra was denied acces in 2022 doesnt mean it wouldn't get it in 2025.

Perfect point. Today they are refused. Tomorrow they are welcome. Duh!

With Russia in control that option does not exist. Simple.

If the US is justified invading Iraq,

It wasn't!

Russia is justified invading Ukraine - except 100 times more. 6000 miles vs 0 miles

Nope! 100 x 0 = 0! even 6000 x 0 = 0 !!!!!!

Now, when Russia is out, as the loser, what will you do? Russia can not win, even a half wit can see this.

@mafketis
Those are some dangerous looking geriatric patients. WTF has the mighty Russia become. It is a laughable country. More than 5 months in and they have done nothing they wanted to accomplish. Kherson will be back in Ukraine control in a few weeks like Kharkiv is fully back in Ukraine control. Hate to remind all the trolls about that failure as well as the failure of not taking Kiev.

mafketis
31 Jul 2022  #707

the failure of not taking Kiev.

They never had any intention of "taking Kiev"!!!!

You can't prove they did!

It was a feint! A feint!!!!!!! A brilliant distraction to their real goal of getting sunk into a no-win quagmire in the east!!! Which they did! Brilliantly!!!!!

Additionally, Russia has spent decades trying to improve its image after the Cold War, to convince people that they're no longer a threat and can be considered "partners". All of this was forfeited in just one day. This time it will take more than that to see Russia's improving its reputation. As a matter of fact, it would be easier for Russia to split on various republics, and maybe individual states will have it easier.

This one, like all wars, is a gamble. The US lost in V and A and things are fine.

This time it will take more than that to see Russia's improving its reputation.

Reputation is a luxury. Survival is not. If you want to advise Russia which one is more important, I am sure they will be happy to hear from you.

If no one in Russia can afford to buy a car, find parts to fix their car, or factories can not build more Russian shi1tbox cars, how good with the cheap gasoline be for every Russian? When cell phone towers go down and can not be repaired because the technology is not available, how good will those phones be, thats if you can find a phone? When infrastructure that relies on semiconductors goes down and can not be repaired because of sanctions, how bright will those LED bulbs glow?

Russia is a dumpster fire. Smoldering and growing, the smoke is as putrid as the country itself.

Seems some of them realised it and gave up their activity here.

Did you notice how basically everything you say is ignored,

No, it only seems so on the surface if you concentrate on posters` messages. However, there are also inactive readers. Don`t forget about them.

As always, a great point, PAK. The same rude awakaning is taking place in the US that does not make the "chips" it needs to make 'em fighter planes and evertthing else, including toilet paper. Sanctions and embargos often help in snapping out of a happy stupor and into self-reliance.

As far as the war, my best guess is that Russia noticed what happened to Yugoslavia and how mostly peaceful NATO bombed the fu*ck out of Belgrade. That was an eye-opener, you have to admit.

ST PETERSBURG, Russia (Reuters) -President Vladimir Putin on Sunday signed a new naval doctrine which cast the United States as Russia's main rival and set out Russia's global maritime ambitions for crucial areas such as the Arctic and in the Black Sea.

How did he figure it out that the US is Russia's "main rival" or, less nicely, main enemy? Hmm...

Here is my best shot at it. The maps and those 780 billion bucks we spend on our armed forces each and every year.

See, the thing is that only 10% of that amount can be justified as self-defense money. So what about the remaining 700 billion...Again, my best guess is (1) to rip off the US taxpayers and get rich, and (2) be fu*cking everywhere on the globe and the closer to Russia, the better.

China can wait since that is where the US buys everything it needs to exist.

set out Russia's global maritime ambitions for crucial areas

Will they be able to realise those ambitions with Chinese technology coz Western one is sanctioned???? I doubt it, That is why, you are reporting RuSSist daydreaming, not real chances.

How many inactive readers we have?

About 2000 daily.

Interesing hot take on twitter today.... which I can't be bothered to look up....

Anyhoo.... the idea is what if the reduced gas deliveries through gazprom aren't any kind of political game... but all the russians can really do now? That is they're sending as much as they can but without foreign replacement parts or foreigners to keep the system up and running... it's kind of falling apart?

I'm embarrassed to admit I hadn't thought of that but it does make sense....

One of the FSB letters said that russia would be back in 1990s territory economically by summer (and by fall... they didn't want to think about it.....)

@Novichok

Be honest now.... did you poison Anatoly Chubais?

Chubais, one of the main architects of what became putin's russia suddenly took ill and was taken to hospital and people in hazmat suits began examining the room where he was when he began feeling poorly.....

twitter.com/InsiderEng/status/1553776299046486019

if it was you.... good job! Chubais is sub-human slime who deserves a slow and painful death for the damage he did to russia and its prospects for civil society...

More bad luck for Russia.
A small explosive device carried by a makeshift drone blew up today at the headquarters of Russia's Black Sea Fleet on the Crimean peninsula, wounding six people and prompting the cancellation of ceremonies there honoring Russia's navy.
