It is perfectly possible for someone to want his country to win the war without supporting the methods of conducting it, and Bobko said on many occasions that Russians will have to live with Ukrainians after the war. And you know very well that not criticising one's country openly doesn't necessarily mean the full support of all its actions.

There are also tactical nuclear bombs, which are of "reduced effect", as opposed to strategic ones. The Russians have that too, and such bombs are used on the battlefield, for example, in Yemen, they attacked the Houthis with tactical nukes.

Russia is destroying itself. Actions have consequences. It really is just that simple. The Russians in the big cities don't want to die for Russia, they don't even want to fight for Russia. Yes, Putin has tried to avoid a war with NATO because he knows he can not win. Russia can not even beat Ukraine, taking on NATO would be the end of him. Here we are mid September and Russia has lost a whole lot of ground before winter. They did not have the proper winter equipment in February, what makes them think their summer gear will get them through this coming winter? Even if it is a mild winter, thousands will freeze to death in fox holes.

Xi is already questioning Putin on this and China will not be sending any arms to Russia. If Xi stops supporting Russia through buying discounted oil and gas, Putin may as well off himself. With another 600 Million in military aid announced, the US keeps sending and Ukraine keeps using. It will remain this way until its over. The US military industrial machine is just warming up. Once it is in full operation, probably by the new year, Russian soldiers will have missiles raining down on them like they have never thought possible. Russia will keep digging deeper and deeper into stored away Soviet era equipment until it is all gone. Russia can not produce anything new and eventually they will run out of poor people and criminals to send to the front. How long will that take? Maybe six months. Smart men know when to cut their losses and walk away. Putin could survive this with a negotiated peace, but he wont without it.

It wasn't "to be destroyed" until putain made the insane decision to invade Ukraine.... by this point there is no way that this ends well for russia....

I put the blame squarely on the russian people for their incomprehensible tsar complex that leaves them (and neighboring countries) vulnerable to the kind of insane ideas that old dictators come up with because there's no peaceful or non-traumatic way of getting a Tsar out of office, you're stuck with him due to your own fecklessness...

Let me remind you that Ukraine is not a NATO member! You should get it out of your head! A few volunteers from NATO member states doesn't mean it's a NATO operation. That would have involved all it's member states if it was true!

Besides Russians think in too small terms, it's in need to think about something bigger then Poland, Russia or even the E.U!

But Russia doesn't have the stomach for it at the moment. One thing seems to be perfectly noticeable, Russians act very emotionally and instantly. Without self control and lash out at first possible opportunity.
