A legal referendum needs all residents voting or having the opportunity to vote. So, none of these referendums can be legal when most of the population has been forced to evacuate. Unless of course they can vote from anywhere in the world electronically and the vote is watched over by the UN.

A full mobilization is the only chance Russia has of winning, and you can bet if that happens, NATO will send everything that Ukraine has been asking for, including planes and longer-range weapons. Escalation like a referendum will do nothing but prolong and make this war more dangerous.

So far I haven't received any draft summons or calls from the local military commissariat. But I prepared a bag with all the things I would need in case of draft.

In case you're drafted and your T-62 rolls towards Ukraine, make sure:

- not to shoot any civilians;
- not to aim your gun at any kindergartens or hospitals;
- not to try to be a hero (99.9% of them are forgotten, and invaders are rarely considered heroes anyway).

When you come back home safe and sound (hopefully), you will be able to tell as many heroic stories to your grandchildren as you wish. ;) As far as I know PF has never lost a member in a war, and may it stay this way.

Nothing to masturbate to. That's enough to stabilise some front lines, but to conquer Ukraine? Forget it.

300K more men to the front lines only extends the duration of the war. Nowhere near enough to win or to occupy Ukraine. This is another disastrous design that will only get a lot more Russians killed. If, the 300K do show up, and that is a big if in my opinion, but if they do, they can still not hold the existing lines. They can not get to Ukraine quick enough to stop the current counter offensive. The only plan they should have had was to send 300K to Crimea and that would have worked in my opinion.

Bobko, while I appreciate your patriotism, no matter how I think it is misguided, I do not hope for you to become one of the roasted Orc's. Russia needs intelligent people to lead it out of the dark ages, and I think you are intelligent enough to be a positive influence. You, as a military person, must be able to see that this war has been foolish from the beginning. Pack warm cloths and extra body armor if you can get it.

Now, the west will respond. More missiles, and I would bet on longer range missiles at this point. I would also bet that more air defense systems will be shipping out quickly. Would love to see the US send Poland the decommissioned Warthogs and then Poland send any left over migs. So much for political negotiations, its about to get worse for everyone.
