Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 4

PolAmKrakow

@johnny reb
You really don't know me to say those things. I have no problem staying and fighting. My family would be in the US though, yes. I am far from a hot head or an armchair general. I am prepared to defend my home as more Poles are now.

Accident? More than likely yes. When accidents happen though, it is because people are not careful, or they do not care. Cause and effect. This was predictable months ago with Putin. I think this is a test made to look like an accident. If it is not a test, and is an accident, how should the rest of the world feel about more accidents happening with the mental midget leading the Orc nation?

Maybe an accidental few missiles should reach Kaliningrad or another Russian city? Maybe the Black Sea fleet should be repurposed into a new Black Sea reef?

Oooops, sorry. While most people who talk tough sit at home outside of Poland, I live here, have not left and will not leave.

Zero panic. Let's see what happened first, and then we will know what to do.

Hey, someone talking common sense here for a change.

belonging to one of S-300 missiles

Some pro-Russia accounts claim this is a Ukrainian surface-to-air missile gone astray.
The story is wildly improbable as Western surface-to-air missiles have a self-destruct mechanism that prevents a live missile without target-lock from galivanting across large swaths of real estate.

The impact location makes this explanation even more unlikely.
Surface-to-air missiles fired from within Ukraine at incoming Russian missiles would have splashed in Ukraine.

"At the moment it is impossible to identify those responsible for the missile strikes on Polish territory" - Macron

"The missiles that fell in Poland were fired by the Ukrainian air defense system" - Biden.

"There is no evidence that the missiles were Russian" - Hungarian Foreign Ministry

"ALL EU countries blame Russia for the missile incident in Poland" - Warsaw.

Does "all" have a different meaning in Polish? Maybe other words in Polish don't mean what they seem to mean at all?

My question is:
If Russia fired the missile, then NATO attacks Russia, if Ukraine fired the missile does that mean NATO attacks Ukraine ?

Bratwurst Boy
16 Nov 2022  #636

Puh...so no WWIII.....it seems it was an accident, no attack....

Velund
16 Nov 2022  #637

if Ukraine fired the missile does that mean NATO attacks Ukraine ?

Highly unlikely. More likely another few billion in taxpayer money will be allocated as "military help", then most of them laundered (for right people in democratic party, of course) through another small cryptocurrency exchange, which then under the pretext of a hacker attack will go bankrupt, just like FTX went bankrupt recently.

mafketis
16 Nov 2022  #638

At this point the question is... are the russians

if Ukraine fired the missile does that mean NATO attacks Ukraine

If it was Ukrainian... then they weren't shooting at Poland or at geese, they were shooting at missiles sent by the primitive warlike russians... who were bvtthurt over losing Xerson (their retreat was termed the 'most humiliating military retreat' seen in any country since at least WWI...

russia is, as usual, the root of the problem and the longer the west takes in plucking that ugly weed of a failed country out of the ground the more painful for all concerned...

If it was Ukrainian... then they weren't shooting at Poland or at geese, they were shooting at missiles sent by the primitive warlike russians...

Can you confirm that ?

Surface-to-air missiles fired from within Ukraine at incoming Russian missiles would have splashed in Ukraine.

That's what my source claims.

mafketis
16 Nov 2022  #640

Can you confirm that ?

The russian missile attack on Ukraine (including far-western Ukraine) is widely confirmed as were Ukrainian anti-aircraft missiles against the attack....

Do the math....

Quick note on generalsvr (unconfirmed but it has a pretty good track record)

twitter.com/generalsvr_en/status/1592797838441750528

take aways:

putain is not backing down or letting his lack of true allies stop him, he's decided to escalate...

western countries now want Crimea returned to Ukraine ASAP (it had been a negotiating chip before... no longer)

he's decided to go ahead with operations to destabilize sort of "allies" (like Hungary and Turkey) before moving to destabilize open enemies like the Baltics and Poland

note... terrorist attacks in Istanbul over the last few days, interruption of russian crude oil through Ukraine to Hungary....

what does he have in store for Poland? probably something nasty and stupid because that's all russia can do...

Looks as though it was an accident due to defending against Orc missiles. So in the end, even in an accident, had no missiles been launched there would be no defensive accident and the Orcs are still responsible.

@mafketis
Tukey is the weak link in NATO. Putin based on his limited intellect will likely try some stunts. No one should stand for it and there should be a military response when it happens. Likely will be hacker attacks on power and water sources in my opinion. Why change the modus operandi?

Still amazed as the Russian pu$$ies at home not willing to take the mental midget Putin out with a bullet. Fvcking useless sheep.

Looks as though it was an accident

Kuleba said that that is a conspiracy theory directly from the Kremlin.

PolAmKrakow
16 Nov 2022  #644

@Barney
No conspiracy theory as NATO radar is confirming Ukraine was shooting down a Russian missile. Don't get me wrong though, I was hopeful that this would trigger a strong response and take out a bunch of Orcs. Looks like Putin is safe for just a little longer.

The point is that the Ukrainian foreign minister claimed that it couldnt possibly be Uki anti aircraft fire. He has been found lying and making Russia's point for them.

johnny reb

@maf
See mafetis, never jump the gun.
The missile, which killed two people in a rural area, appeared to be Russian-made, Duda said.
Ukraine's weaponry includes Russian-made missiles.
"Ukraine's defense was launching their missiles in various directions and it is highly probable that one of these missiles unfortunately fell on Polish territory," Duda said. "There is nothing, absolutely nothing to suggest that it was an intentional attack on Poland."

See mafetis, never jump the gun.

I doubt he do such hard work. He hate, it is much simpler.

This sounds like RuSSian government, RuSSian propagandists and majority of RuSSian people, including you.

"ALL EU countries blame Russia for the missile incident in Poland" - Warsaw.

What is the source of this quote? I can't find it anywhere.

Polish president said already yesterday that it wasn't known who fired the missile.

But, yes, RuSSia is to blame for what happened - RuSSia started this war and is showering Ukraine with missiles. Noone can blame Ukrainians for defending themselves.

According to this article it was probably Soviet-made missile S-300 fired by Ukraine against RuSSian missile attack:

next.gazeta.pl/next/7,151003,29146132,produkcja-radziecka-typu-s-300-podano-prawdopodobna-specyfikacje.html

President Duda said that it wasn't a typical missile explosion - the crater was probably the effect of the impact of the missile itself and maybe resulting explosion of the missile's fuel.

The village of Przewodów is very close to the Polish-Ukrainian border, so I'm guessing that the Ukrainian missile missed the RuSSian missile and flew over the border.

the Ukrainian foreign minister claimed that it couldnt possibly be Uki anti aircraft fire. He has been found lying and making Russia's point for them.

My guess is that this comment of his is from yesterday. At that time I also thought it must've been a missile fired by RuSSia, because Polish authorities said the missile was "RuSSian-made". So I understood that it was a modern missile produced by present-day RuSSia, and not an old one made by USSR (which could be used also by Ukraine). Polish authorities should be more accurate when making statements concerning such incidents in order to avoid such confusion, imho.

Anyway, it looks like we need anti-missile defense systems near the Polish-Ukrainian border, so such incidents would be less likely to happen.

Curious as to the buzz on that one. Is Moscow prevaricating once again, or is this report on the level?

"G20 leaders' declaration condemns Russia's war 'in strongest terms'":

edition.cnn.com/2022/11/16/asia/g20-summit-day-2-russia-intl-hnk/index.html

And this mirrors what I wrote on the previous page of this thread:

'"This war has caused massive public suffering, and also jeopardizing the global economy that is still vulnerable from the pandemic, which also caused risks for food and energy crises, as well as financial crisis. The G20 discussed the impact of war to the global economy," he said.'

8 years of ukrainian blockade and shelling of Donbass cities

caused by the russian invasion, zhopnik, stop russia-ing and look at the truth (I know russians run screaming away from the truth, but....try)

johnny reb

The G20 discussed the impact of war to the global economy," he said.'

The impact of a projectile on Polish territory and accusations against Moscow show that "the West is approaching a world war."

Paulina
16 Nov 2022  #654

@johnny reb, I disagree, it isn't showing any such thing. It's pretty clear everyone wants to avoid world war, imho.

@Velund, it's not about this guy, but what your war is doing to the world, you selfish nutjobs.

I didn't seen that guys condemning 8 years of ukrainian blockade and shelling of Donbass cities.

Did you miss that small detail that RuSSia started it all and annexed Crimea illegally? And don't tell me that separatists and your "green men" didn't shell anything during those 8 years lol

That didn't have any effect on the world in general though. This full scale invasion by RuSSia in February is affecting not only Ukraine. So, you're f*cking up many more people's lives and as typical psychos RuSSia and RuSSians don't care.

Sorry, BB, but those Polandball strips are exaggerated this time. Poland's yesterday's reaction was pretty careful and there was no mention of Article 5 on Polish side, only Article 4.

I agree! But they usually are....it's Polandball! ;)

I found it also interesting as nobody believed Moscow as the denial came yesterday....if I were Russian I would be concerned about my image in the world...if I maybe lied to often....as if nobody expects the truth coming out of the Kremlin anymore...embarassing!

Paulina

@Bratwurst Boy, yeah, nobody believes anything RuSSia says anymore lol It's just like with that girl who cried "Wolf!" one time too many... They worked hard for that image.

Velund
16 Nov 2022  #657

Did you miss that small detail that RuSSia started it all and annexed Crimea illegally?

It is polish style, to select convenient moment of "beginning of all times" and unfold everything from that moment completely ignoring all things that was before.

Good to cry about numerous divisions of Poland, but anathema to remember attempts to cut pieces from neighboutrs.

Good to remember Katyn but completely forget 22000+ of russian POWs killed and died from diseases in Tuchola polish concentration camp.

So, to remember...

Crimean story and Donbass uprising was result of Maidan coup, inspired and sponsored mostly by NATO countries.

As people joking here...

One day, the following people gathered on the Maidan:

The ambassadors of the United States, of France, of Spain, of Germany, of Denmark,
Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland;
U.S. Senators Chris Murphy and John McCain;
German Foreign Minister - Guido Westerwelle;
Catherine Ashton, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy;
former President of Georgia - Mikhail Saakashvili;
Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans;
Jacek Protasiewicz, MEP;
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius;
Lithuanian Seimas Speaker - Loreta Graužinienė;
Former Prime Minister of Poland - Jaroslaw Kaczynski;
Czech Senator Jaromir Stetina
and... accused Russia of interfering in the internal affairs of Ukraine!

One more thing to remember. Your politicians starting to think that Yalta-agreed world order is not more actual. Wish to remember you that current Polish statehood is de-facto result of Yalta... Be prepared to find new "roots" if you cut Yalta "anchor", and it should be something more solid than NATO club.

Bratwurst Boy
16 Nov 2022  #658

One more thing to remember. Your politicians starting to think that Yalta-agreed world order is not more actual

Umm.....remind me again....isn't it Russia who wants to redraw borders and end treaties and agreements with it's invasion of Ukraine????

(And already did it actually with it's prior claiming of Crimea?)

To keep such gains one needs to be on top...at any and every time....because even one moment of weakness and you will lose not only that what you just gained. Because why should other countries keep to treaties if you don't? An old lesson of history!

Velund
16 Nov 2022  #659

redraw borders

Why borders of USSR, Yugoslavia/Serbia and GDR can be easily redrawn, but some other borders of newly created states must be "sacred cow" forever?

Bratwurst Boy
16 Nov 2022  #660

Sacred by mutual treaties, Velund.

No new gov can go around and suddenly decide which treaties are to it's liking and which can be broken....not for long that is. No country is in a perpetual position of unassailable strength that the world bows and resigns to their breaking of international laws....or as we here in Germany say:

"Die Geier warten schon!"
