Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 6

GefreiterKania
30 Jun 2023  #1501

Russians here will confirm that nobody is interested in Poland.

Says a man who just a couple of days ago wrote: "First, I only wanted Ukraine. Now I want Poland too. You people need a lesson" (or something to that effect, I'm quoting from memory). :)

Kadyrov has stated 'I want Poland'

It's good to want something in life. :)

'I want Poland too, doesn't mean we should invade it. Ukraine is a very special case. The fu*kers stabbed us in the heart, right where it hurts. We can't let them have her.'

But you'd happily allow Chechens to take over Moscow?

Paulina

I want Poland too, doesn't mean we should invade it.

You never know with RuSSians - Putin will tell you that Poland should be invaded and you'll believe it without thinking. So, it is better to be prepared for potential RuSSian fit of lunacy/"pragmatism".

Would you rather the execution of the idea was carried out by the EU?

No, I'd rather it was carried out by a Polish government that isn't filled with short-sighted idiots.

But you'd happily allow Chechens to take over Moscow?

Hahaha! A Western-born Russian nationalist? Yes, I'm very worried that the citizens of a republic with a population slightly above 1M will take control of Russia.

You should be, it was Kadyrov's army that was protecting Putin.

Ok so we are in agreement about the EU taking charge of Poland's defences not being a good idea it seems.

Paulina
30 Jun 2023  #1508

@Luke1410, why would the EU be taking charge of Poland's defences? Are you talking about a common EU army or sth?

The Wagner 'Coup' Was Staged by Putin and the West Fell for It.

Paulina
30 Jun 2023  #1512

@johnny reb, I was thinking that it might be the case, but there's something that makes me think that Prigozhin's "coup" wasn't staged. Namely, Putin carefully worked for years to create this image of himself being a strong macho leader who guarantees stability in RuSSia. Wagner Group's ride for Moscow tarnished that image.

Putin was also making sure for years that noone would be able to be his rival for power and that it's impossible for his power to be somehow taken from him.

And, again, Prigozhin questioned that. Wagnerites sliced into RuSSia like a knife into warm butter. They weren't defeated by the RuSSian army, but decided... to stop. Putin didn't stop them, they stopped. It was Prigozhin's decision (or at least it looked like it).

So, that was a show of weakness on the side of the Kremlin and the RuSSian army.

And RuSSians saw that weakness.

That would be a very risky move for Putin, because this "coup" has shown that RuSSians can pretty successfully rebel against Putin. What's worse - it wasn't the liberal, pro-Western opposition that organised this "coup", but Prigozhin and the Wagner Group - Putin's creations. It was Putin who enabled them. So, it also shows bad judgement on the side of Putin and that he can't control his own men.

This makes Putin look like a total failure of a leader.

Why would Putin risk like that? To make a purge in the army? Would that be worth it? Considering the potential consequences - it seems unlikely to me...

Kadyrov has stated 'I want Poland' (for obvious reasons) and he is poised to take over from Putin now that Prigozhin is out of the picture.

According to me, Putin objectively has 1 realistic successor

Sergey Naryshkin
- less known to the public
- head of SVR (secret service for foreign affairs)
- have known each other since their student days because they were roommates
- both are from St.Petersburg
- both worked in Germany during the USSR, Putin in the East and Naryshkin in the West
- Naryshkin is a calm character, simple like Putin, a similar profile of people
- has control over secret services and knows their operating system
- Putin trusts him because they have known each other all their lives, that's why he took him to Moscow with him
- is Naryshkin strong enough to control the Russian army, that is the question that Putin asks himself (in my opinion)

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Naryshkin

us.firenews.video/world-news/sergej-naryshkin-when-the-ukrainians-run-out-the-anglo-saxons-will-send-the-poles-and-then-the-germans/

Next to him, neither of the other 2 candidates Luke mentioned don't stand even a remote chance, Prigozhin is yesterday's news. He's history.

'The Wagner 'Coup' Was Staged by Putin and the West Fell for It.'

The Grand Chessmaster with yet another masterstroke!

I think you underestimate Kadyrov, he has a loyal army and will have powerful backers in the Middle East, if Putin is popped off he is most definitely in with a shout. The potential scale of how badly Putin could have f'd things up for Russia is unbelievable.

Sergey Naryshkin

You mean the guy who's been publicly humiliated by Putin?:

youtu.be/o9A-u8EoWcI

After watching that video I was wondering how long he woud live lol He seemed pretty scared (or stupid?) and Putin looked like he didn't have much respect for him.

However, Poland is now preparing to spend hundreds of billions on HIMARS, K2, Abrams, Patriots, etc

I agree that Russia is not a serious conquering force anymore. But it still is a serious destroying force. Artillery from the 50s and tanks from the 60s still can devastate a lot of civilian infrastructure. Yes, the Russian army shat itself in Ukraine. But still, 20% of Ukraine lies in ruins, and more than 5 million people left the country as war refugees.

Nobody wants that for their own country. Which means these weapons and NATO membership are needed. Not as a defense against Russia, but as a deterrence against Russia. It is needed so that Russia doesn't even feel the slightest temptation to try and invade some more countries, because while it will most likely fail in this attempt, it will also leave lots of destruction in its wake.

The Wagner 'Coup' Was Staged by Putin

Why would Putin want Russia to look like a banana republic with band of armed mercenaries riding through it for hundreds of kilometres, taking huge cities and shooting down planes on their way? :)

This must be some maskirovka on a galactic scale!

None of those people who were in that stupid circle with Putin will be his successor. They all publicly agrees to the war. They will be lined up on a bench in The Hague, pretending they have dementia. All will be held responsible for the murders, theft and rapes.

Galeev and another russian or two interpret that differently.... they see it as him, just in that moment, realizing that putain is going to do this insane doomed thing... less scared than flabbergasted....

20% of Ukraine lies in ruins, and more than 5 million people left the country as war refugees.

I told Zhole to sign that bloody piece of paper way back but his pimp said no so he didn't. To his credit, he was close. They even agreed to meet in Turkey in April 2022.

As a reminder, Putin was not going to...

1. Exterminate Ukrainians
2. Ban the Ukrainian language and culture.

Putin wanted ...

1. No NATO in Ukraine and Ukraine to be neutral
2. Fair treatment of Russians in Ukraine
3. Autonomy for D and L.
4. Recognition of C as part of the RF - like Kosovo

If any of the above is incorrect, please let me know.

This must be some maskirovka on a galactic scale

Indeed!

This seems more tenable (from Wall St Journal):

A key trigger was the June 10 order by the Russian Defense Ministry that all volunteer detachments would have to sign contracts with the government by July 1, a move to bring Wagner under formal military control. Prigozhin refused.

Putin was trying to pinch Prigozhin out of the picture.

Prigozhin's "coup" wasn't staged

I think it was staged but real (that is it wasn't a spontaneous decision that priggy tried to say it was).

Who planned it and why won't be known for a while (or ever)

I tend to think it was either a plan that failed (because someone screwed up and didn't get family members to safety first) or a tanquetazo (a dry run meant to gather information)

the most interesting information received is that the russian public is a big blob, they neither protest nor support unless they're told to (and no one told them how to react so they..... didn't)

Poland wants US nuclear weapons - PM
Warsaw sees it as a response to Russia deploying its arms in Belarus, Prime Minister Mateus Morawiecki has said

...and the readers' comments...

Only a moron would give nukes to those lunatics. There are many reasons for "polish Jokes" the biggest one being their legendary low IQs

Giving the deranged Polish leaders nuclear weapons would guarantee the destruction of the planet.

Poland's prime minister's comments are why the term "Dumb Polacks " is so frequently used.

It is clear that Russia would not attack NATO-member Poland. But the Polish government follows the fear politics of the US and spends Poland's future on buying weapons from the US MIC.

I only hope that the US can ship a bucket of very cold water to end this lunacy...

Yes! Russia invaded Ukraine because Russia didn't feel loved enough! That's right! Now when Russians showed their true faces in Ukraine I'm sure they will be much more loved in the near future.

Korvinus

1. No NATO in Ukraine and Ukraine to be neutral

Yeaaaaah, Putin chimped out and attacked a non-NATO state because 'he felt threatened by NATO', Ukraine decided to defend itself rather than than get beaten and humiliated... but its all the West's fault

And the cooperation between Ukrainian and Russian nations was killed by Russia, a country that simply does not acknowledge Ukraine's sovereignty, because it's collectively butthurt over the lost empire, in which Ukraine used to be a crown jewel.

2. Fair treatment of Russians in Ukraine
3. Autonomy for D and L.
4. Recognition of C as part of the RF - like Kosovo

Well, they can always move to Russia if they love it so much! That's how normal people act, when they want to live in another country. Migrate
