Kadyrov has stated 'I want Poland' (for obvious reasons) and he is poised to take over from Putin now that Prigozhin is out of the picture.
According to me, Putin objectively has 1 realistic successor
Sergey Naryshkin
- less known to the public
- head of SVR (secret service for foreign affairs)
- have known each other since their student days because they were roommates
- both are from St.Petersburg
- both worked in Germany during the USSR, Putin in the East and Naryshkin in the West
- Naryshkin is a calm character, simple like Putin, a similar profile of people
- has control over secret services and knows their operating system
- Putin trusts him because they have known each other all their lives, that's why he took him to Moscow with him
- is Naryshkin strong enough to control the Russian army, that is the question that Putin asks himself (in my opinion)

Next to him, neither of the other 2 candidates Luke mentioned don't stand even a remote chance, Prigozhin is yesterday's news. He's history.
