They try, but it never works.

Nobody, except us, reads this forum.

I write well enough, and have enough thoughts in my head, that I could probably go and write articles for some publication. That is, I don't have to write "fake comments" or "sh*t-stirring" posts on Twitter, to get my propagandist jollies off. I could mainline this propaganda to a truly wide audience, instead I sit here debating with you lovely folks.

I don't care to scare you, and what's more - I realize you have no impact whatsoever on what could benefit my country.

Simply, after many years of being here, I would appreciate if the conversations were more human, instead of slinging prepared "soundbites" at each other.

I just came back from a discussion meeting where one of the subjects was Putin and how he cannot be trusted.
When I was called to speak, I said this:

There is no doubt Putin had nothing to do with Navalny's death. I trust Putin when he says: "If I want you dead, you will be dead" - or something to that effect.

That's why I trust FSB and Mossad.

I sit here debating with you lovely folks.

I expected a different noun at the end of that sentence after the abuse of Russia and Russians here.

Kremlin reacts to Biden calling Putin a 'crazy S.O.B.'
The US president has disgraced his country, spokesman Dmitry Peskov said

Americans should be ashamed of their leader after their president reportedly called Russia's Vladimir Putin a "crazy S.O.B." during a public event, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

Isn't being an American fun...I love this country...Even a total pos without couth and manners, with garbage for the brain, a traitor who allowed 7 million foreign scum in can be president...

everything about russia is just nasty and awful.... so glad that years ago when I was trying to pick a slavic language I picked Polish instead, the country and culture have their faults but never anything as repulsive as the russians here write....

Biden calling Putin a 'crazy S.O.B.'

russians crave, crave CRAVE American recognition.... that probably made putain feel better than anything since the news broke about Bucha "he's thinking about me!" putina giggles to himself.

The same. I once considered going there to live (reading russian literature was once a thing) and am now very glad that never happened.

It's not a place for people from your country or mine to be right now; they have a long history of hostage diplomacy. Much the same in Iran and China.

Prove it!

The FSB or whatever the KGB call themselves now probably monitor the traffic.

The FSB or whatever the KGB call themselves now probably monitor the traffic.

I would be pretty upset to learn that Russian taxes are spent on monitoring PF.

Also, I would be concerned that whoever does the monitoring might get an inadvertent aneurysm.

If the people here feel they are potentially wasting their own time - imagine how a 24 year old FSB agent would feel?

That he's wasting his life in a place where he can never tell the truth in public?

Typically, one does not go work for an intelligence agency if you are big on the "truth telling" end of the spectrum.

Those guys, typically go and work at places like Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Open Society Foundation, Carnegie Endowment, and so on and so forth.

Young people entering the intelligence community are romantics, driven by such silly concepts as patriotism, duty, and some form of "sheepdog" mentality. The sheepdog bit, being that they are somehow better positioned to protect the rest of us sheep from the depredations of the wicked.

Slightly different to the frame of mind of a typical law enforcement recruit.

Truth does not rate highly in that world - except when conversing with your superiors.

I was just about as strongly drawn to Czech and Polish for various reasons but resources were slim for Czech and the idea of visiting was.... not realistic while there was a very doable way of visitiing Poland for me so that was the deciding factor.

wtf, czech is maybe 20 percent more expensive than poland, you must have been very skint! unless you had friends in poland that helped set up up i don't see the big difference?

Proud? Of what? Many countries in the world have built great planes.
Russians should be proud of sth unique that only they have achieved - the creation of Raketa watch, the fastest watch in the world!!!! hahahahahaha buhahahahaha

Funny how Russia is always a "loser", and all the other negative comments keep coming. Yet when asked a serious question like "how much does the US have to give" its just crickets here. Nothing but a bunch of angry Karens' screaming into the abys, and ignoring facts that are not even being reported by the Russian "losers". This is the poison of the leftist socialist movement and the US Democratic party. No reasoning, no logic, just hate. Its these same people who when asked how many unarmed black men were shot by police in 2023 would answer "1000" when in fact the number was 12. The left wing media hypes so much bull$hit, that these people cannot think for themselves.

When feelings somehow become more important than facts, that is a critical sign that a society is rotting from the inside. Crazy to think that all the alleged 'educated" PF members would allow logic, and reason to be pushed aside for emotion.

This is the poison of the leftist socialist movement and the US Democratic party. No reasoning, no logic,

It means that 2 years ago, when you enthusiastically supported Ukrainian war effort and Western aid, you were utterly poisoned by the leftist socialist movement and Democrats.

AMasing! I thought you were stronger mentally and don`t allow various azholes to take control of you so easily. :):):)

Crazy to think that all the alleged 'educated" PF members would allow logic, and reason to be pushed aside for emotion.

You allowed it, too. But you have changed your attitude. And now you are shedding crocodile tears. It is not fair.

amiga500
23 Feb 2024  #1851

But you have changed your attitude.

"The inactive investor who takes up an obstinate attitude about his holdings and refuses to change his opinion merely because facts and circumstances have changed is the one who in the long run comes to grievous loss." - John Maynard Keynes

is commonly paraphrased these days to "When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?"

jon357
23 Feb 2024  #1852

When the facts change

They haven't.

cms neuf
23 Feb 2024  #1853

What facts have changed ? Udmurtia has less territory than it had in March 23, still has not conquered any major Ukrainian city since then, is unable to use its Air Force and has a fleet that is stuck in port. They have no easy route to win the war

All they do have is determination - which mainly comes from sticking a rifle in the back of new recruits and telling them to run forward into machine gun fire - 1914 style

No. I still support Ukraine. But I am a realist, and there is no possible scenario in which they push Russia out. All the propaganda in the world wont make it happen. Ukraine made a run last summer. They lost momentum and failed to listen to the US on tactics. They wasted artilery, ammunition and mens lives. So now congress see's the $hit show for what it is and tells Z he needs to mobilize, and then Z fires the head of the military. Facts are facts. Why is anyone wanting more Ukraine men to die for nothing?

So how much does the US have to give to make this win happen? Please someone answer the fvcking question instead of all the bull$hit.

Ironside
23 Feb 2024  #1855

But I am a realist, and there is no possible scenario in which they push Russia out

There is NATO and that means mainly the US pushes seriously with weaponry to Ukraine and demands that Ukraine provide manpower.
----

They lost momentum and failed to listen to the US on tactics

The US tactic was useless without air superiority and they never had it.
---

tells Z he needs to mobilize,

Z can't mobilize because that would mean political suicide for him, there is no popular support for it in Ukraine.
----

Why does anyone want more Ukraine men to die for nothing?

If Ukraine would like to surrounder to Russia they can do it without asking anyone's opinion, who are you to make such decisions?

amiga500
23 Feb 2024  #1856

they can do it without asking anyone's opinion,

Lolzo, you think a country that is financially dependent on others for it's military, pensions, government salaries, public services et all, a country that is dominated by oligarchs and foreign multinationals, has any agency?

Also from what i've heard NATO is on the ground, collaborating on military strategy and intelligence.

cms neuf
23 Feb 2024  #1857

Men are not dying for nothing - they want to protect their homes, families, lifestyle

And looking at what is happening in Udmurtia they have every incentive. Since 2022 Putler has gradually squashed all freedoms and it seems to be a darker more dangerous place than at any time since the 1970s

pawian
23 Feb 2024  #1858

You have learned to ask for numbers from Novi?? Amasing!!!! :):):) How much is too much????? :):):)

But I am a realist, and there is no possible scenario in which they push Russia out.

Right now we are talking about Ukraine fighting to keep its independence, not regaining lost territory. Russians are intent on capturing the whole of Ukraine. What peace talks and then agreement will prevent another Russian attack in the future? None.

Ironside
23 Feb 2024  #1859

you think a country that is financially dependent

I think that can do that because who is going to stop them? They don't need money or weapons or permission from the US to give up! The point is those in charge do not what to do that because it would means an end for them.

mafketis
23 Feb 2024  #1860

The US tactic was useless without air superiority and they never had it.

Exactly.... the US has consistently denied Ukraine air power and the republicans are now openly on russia's side.... determined to make US "support" look like the kiss o' death.

Republicans want a humanitarian disaster that they can use against Biden in the campaign (is turnabout fairplay? democrats openly wanted an economic meltdown and burning cities to run against trump in 2020 - US politics has entered the "mass damage as tactics" stage).

ussians are intent on capturing the whole of Ukraine

I don't care what russians say in carefully managed 'messages' to the west. I go by what they tell each other because that's a much better indication of what they plan to do.

Medvedev just the other day said russia has to have Kyiv and Odesa.... and turncoats and cowards want to hand those cities to them knowing full well the horrors that would ensue...
