Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 9

and turncoats and cowards want to hand those cities to them knowing full well the horrors that would ensue...

Negotiations would prevent that, fighting till the last (willing) Ukrainian might not.

standard obligatory conscription has to take place. The same is in Russia.

Nope in Russia people are lining up to enlist, because they are paying the big bucks (6x+ the minimum wage + bonuses) in contrast to Ukraine which is still paying peanuts.

I dont believe Russia will attack anyone else in the next 8 to 10 years.

What makes you believe that?
And what the last 30 years have to do with it? If you believe Russia now that it will behave after deal with Ukraine than Europe had no reason to fear beforehand as Russia was putting up an act of good partner.

Don't really gel with Timothy Snyder historical analysis but that's a pretty sick burn. :)

1/6 There was once this republic that lasted for more than 200 years.

2/6 This republic had a minority faction in parliament that supported Russia.

3/6 This republic also had antique procedural rules that allowed one person to halt a vote.

4/6 Some legislators from this republic used procedural rules to support Russian imperialism.

5/6 Then this republic ceased to exist.

6/6 I was thinking of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. What were you thinking of?

Perhaps because very little of that salary reaches its hopeful recipients. 200000+ dead already; the life of an orc is a short one..

There was once this republic that lasted for more than 200 years

Very few empires make 300 years. They should be careful what they wish for.

I was just about as strongly drawn to Czech and Polish for various reasons

Reading Ivan Klima years ago made me think about Czech however ther were reasons not to go there, reasons to go to Poland and as you say, a doable way. In the end, it was a toss up between Warsaw or Bratislava. Bratislava wanted me to set off (by bus, yuk) within days (and I still had 'winding up' stuff to do at home, and the Poland job had a lot more going for it. It was the right decision, and Warsaw is very much home now through good times and bad.

@Ironside
Ukraine is not part of NATO. The US is not responsible for Ukraine. Z's political future is no one's concern, a real leader would sacrifice his political future for the lives of his countrymen. Thats what leaders do. Ukraine can surrender or negotiate a peace deal now and keep what they have. No more soldiers equals definite continued losses of territory and lives for Ukraine.

@Lenka
Russia may be able to replace all their tanks and armor, but they cant replace their men in less than 8 to 10 years. Taking on Europe with less than a million armed and trained men would be a big loss for Russia and could mean its collapse.

The United States is not responsible for Ukraine. Not for their air support or their munitions. But the US is training their pilots, and they are getting F16's in the next two months. Late yes, but again, the US is not responsible for Ukraine. Why TF cant you understand this? Again all the genius planners, how fvcking much does the US have to give before you realize without Ukraine adding a half million men that nothing is going to change for Ukraine?

I think some Polish aid should also go to Russia to people like this dude in this interview:

Reading Ivan Klima years ago made me think about Czech

For me it was music. I just like Czech classical music more than Polish... this is probably due to my head being stuck in the romantic period (when.... no Poland) but Chopin is as French as he is Polish (and I'm not a big fan of piano music) and the rest doesn't compare to Smetana, Dvorak and Janacek....

Look, dude, you asked me about a scenario when Ukraine wins, I have given you one, what are talking about now?
----

Z's political future is no one's concern,

Neither is his ambition being The US lap dog, he does what he does for his reasons and if you wnat mobilization you need to put on the table 'somethings',.

---

but Chopin is as French as he is Polish

his music is Polish.

Janacek....

I remember a wonderful production of The Cunning Little Vixen years ago. The chickens stole the show as they certainly should. A friend always used to rave over Martinu. It's not really something I listened to however I played some recently and enjoyed it.

Czech is saturated with English speaking residents now. Someone I know advertised a few hours EFL work in a small town and got about 500 replies.

Good news about the latest sanctions. 500 of them; should be 5000.

his music is Polish.

He was bi-cultural and spent just about half his life in France and was a French citizen.... so.... both. But that's secondary to my general indifference to piano music. The little piano music I do like comes well after Chopin.... (llike De Falla, Rachmaninoff or Gershwin) I do like Joplin but that's my own nationalistic thing....

Czech is saturated

One reason I'm glad I ended up with Polish is that spoken and written Polish are pretty much in line whereas colloquial and standard Czech are very, very different (and local dialects are stronger too....).

Russia may be able to replace all their tanks and armor,

In the last week or so... russia has

destablized Ukraino-Polish relations

carried out an assassination in Spain (also nb russia largely funded the Catalan independence movement)

announed a 'referendum' in Transnistria to join russia....

russia doesn't need an army to cause chaos... just weak men like Joe Biden and Michael Johnson....

but your call for negotiations makes no sense at any level....

if russia is winning (as russofans like to say it is) they won't want to negotiate and won't honor any agreement (as they have never honored any agreement) so why bother?

if russia is losing (or barely holding on) there's no reason to negotiate if you want to weaken russia as much as possible.....

where's the logic?

Novichok

destablized Ukraino-Polish relations

Only a total moron would expect Russia to improve "Ukraino-Polish relations".

carried out an assassination in Spain

The US assassinates guys the US doesn't like and I am so proud of the US because of that...

Only a total moron would expect the US to send them a thank you card and gift. BTW, to our credit, we assassinate these m-fers even when they are with their loved ones on the way to have ice cream.

announced a 'referendum' in Transnistria to join Russia....

I will take a "referendum" over no referendum. See Western Europe drowning in foreign scum. No referendum there...Just STFU and obey...Democracy is so much fun...

He was bi-cultural and spent just about half his life in France and was a French citizen.... so.... both.

You would think it. Seems logical but no, the music I was exposed to, his music is Polish. If have an ear to Polish national, and flok music there is no mistake about it.

Regardless I don't like Chopen music. not my thing.
----

Where's the logic?

There is no logic, just whining about the days that won't come back. No truing back time. The world si not the same and some people want to hide in their hidey-hole.

Regardless I don't like Chopen music. not my thing.

I do, however living in Warsaw I'm Chopined up. Like Maf, I like later stuff. Particularly Scriabin if it's piano music however obviously not since Feb 2022. Gurdieff music is good for relaxing piano stuff in the background and since he was Georgian rather than orc it's Ok.

Joplin but that's my own nationalistic thing....

He's good. I sometimes listen to Mrs Mills on the piano for the same reason. Dreadful kitsch and cover versions rather than anything original but great fun and nostalgic.

annihilate this country themselves.

destablized Ukraino-Polish relations

Putin soiled your pantaloons, again?

In the grain story you two have only yourselves to blame. Russia did not lift a finger to cause you to make the foolish decisions you have made.

It shows that Slavs are truly not good at cooperation - as Atch argued once.

At least, Poles, Ukrainians, and Russians are not.

The Slovakians and Belarusians must think we're egomaniacal narcissists.

Do you like timid, self-hating, obedient wimps more?

I'm just saying that the three of us certainly deserve each other - toxic bunch that we are. With every one pointing the finger at the other, as being the biggest as*hole, this story has lasted a good 500 years now. It seems to have all the makings for another 500 years of quality drama.

Regarding obedient wimps, nobody likes them. Not men, not women, not even children.

Regarding obedient wimps, nobody likes them. Not men, not women, not even children.

Even obedient wimps don't like obedient wimps. No obedient wimp ever said: I am an obedient wimp and proud of it. See Tacitus, Barney, and Atch.

Western "democracies" are full of them. Where are the angry whites in America? Where are white demonstrations against 7 million foreign scum walking in with "Border Guards" in assistance since Jan 2021? Not even decent white gangs...White Kings...

That's why I watch with glee and pleasure when Moscow cops are beating the fvck out of eco and LGBT nuts. At least somebody has the balls to say no.

In my next life, I want to be a Russian cop in Moscow. The pay may be lousy but the job satisfaction compensates for it...

Bobko

Where are the angry whites in America

When white people get angry, it quickly takes on ugly colors.

Everyone, sort of, started forgetting about this... but then Russia reminded everyone two years ago what that looks like.

The way other races are unable to implement death on a similarly industrial scale, makes their civilizations look quaint and outdated indeed.

jon357

soldiers blowing their officers.

Very common in Udmurtia (and not only).

The lowest level soldiers also have to give part of their wages to the platoon commander who has to give part of his takings to his boss and so on upwards.

Their generals (despite such low salaries) are always rich.

Novichok a hard time about gays,

Perhaps novicoćk should try to fixate less on the subject.
