Good to see more Ukrainian attacks on Udmurtian oil refineries and a clear signal that the air defenses are ineffective.

A few more Ukrainian backed rebels are also joy riding around Kursk while the border guards sleep off their hangovers

And the EU quite rightly sending Udmurtian cash to help the peaceful citizens of Ukraine fight the drunk rapists

Good to keep jabbing Udmurtia at all these pressure points

You idiot - you depend on the diesel and gasoline being produced by these refineries.

Putin has already put in place a temporary export ban, so the Russian market can be refilled with petroleum products before exporting again.

Russians will have fuel, regardless of what happens. It's you lot that will suffer, and paradoxically Ukraine.

This is actually quite funny. The safest places in Ukraine are the lands surrounding the Russian gas pipeline and compressor stations. In two and half years of war, not a single shot was fired in the vicinity of this mighty pipeline. Not a single missile fell nearby. And the Ukrainians are happy to receive $3B a year in transit fees from Mordor. In the same way, they happily pay for Russian diesel to fuel their AFVs and tanks.

Such a strange war.

Me ? Nope

Hybrid car, gas from Norway or shipped in from the US. Nice wood stove at my weekend place. Business mainly running on nuclear.

Every day this war goes on, we in the free world get a little bit more free of your gas and find other cleaner and more efficient ways to live.

In a few years you may as well drink the stuff because we won't need murderer's oil.

And meanwhile Lavrov's attempts at stopping or reducing oil production in poorer parts of Africa and the Middle East have failed with production reaching the highest levels possible, with new wells being sunk and whole fields coming onstream, with refineries producing at full capacity and new ones in development.

Every day this war goes on, we in the free world get a little bit more free of your gas

r*SSia has scored some serious own goals.

It's endearing how much you Westerners fret over our lost income. It's good to know, that those in the West are not indifferent to our struggles, but instead are counting every penny in our pocket with trepidation.

Also, quite curious how everybody thinks it's normal for Ukraine to continue calmly with collecting transit fees from Gazprom for using their pipeline (while at the same time blowing up Nord Stream). No reactions either, to the fact that Ukraine fuels their tanks and armor with Russian diesel fuel.

Can you folks imagine, Churchill complaining to Hitler that Germany is not producing enough coal? Can you imagine the UK, paying Germany billions in transit fees, while they fought each other in North Africa.

Yet, all of you continue to believe in this utterly black and white interpretation of what is happening.

Lavrov

He looks so much like a horse..... I'm surprised neither Charles nor William is interested in having an affair with him.....

by the by..... what do you think of the Katespiracy? Lots of wild speculation going on.... the official story doesn't make any sense and they've been caught peddling falsehoods.... not looking good for the Crown.... ER was made of sterner stuff than the current crew who are degenerating into trailer trash behavior (if you believe the rumors).

Honestly, no comparison.

what do you think of the Katespiracy? Lots of wild speculation going on

The speculation is just that. Internet drivel. She said she'd be off work until Easter and that is still the case.

It's possible her illness is more serious than anyone's saying or perhaps less serious however that's her business. It doesn't affect constitutional issues either way.

peddling falsehoods.... not looking good for the Crown.

No 'peddling' and it's hard to say why someone would think it doesn't 'look good'. They aren't Hollywood celebrities with a brand to maintain for money and glory and don't need to 'peddle' anything. 'A list celebrities' fawn over them and will do anything for an invitation. The tourists come and gawp at their official residences either way, the factories in China still produce the souvenir tea towels and other dreadful gewgaws and the column inches in the media happen whether there's a storm in a teacup, a real scandal, a boring patch or the holiday season.

Princess Catherine of Wales is the most popular of that family within the U.K. and her privacy is generally respected. Her medical matters are certainly private and I don't blame her for not talking about her fanny or wherever the problem is on chat shows and in Hello magazine or not live streaming the doctors removing her stitches on TikTok.

Of course they have to deal with the media who make a spectacle of them and I did wonder whether or not the announcement of the King's illness was a distraction technique. Whether it is or it isn't, the world will still turn and people on Twitter will still say she's been cloned or is a lizard alien.

I wish her and those close to her all the best.

degenerating into trailer trash behavior (if you believe the rumors).

I don't. And could raise you decades of wild rumours, a lot of boring facts and some funny anecdotes that don't reach the media.

King Charles shouldn't be underestimated and Prince William is as bright as a button. Each monarch has their own way of doing things however the basics remain the same.

That fake picture? Clumsily cobbeled together form existing easy to find pictures?

I don't really care much about the royals (totally respected ER and maybe the PA) the rest? meh.... I hope it's just a staff blunder.

Clumsily cobbeled together

Photoshopped by an amateur herself.

If they were up to something they'd be doing it properly. The entire security services of a first world country literally work for her father in law.

It was a family photo for Mothers' Day; not a professional portrait.

I don't really care much about the royals

I don't follow the media circus and dislike it but rather like that they're there. I'd not fancy changing what we've got for something else. With all its quirks, the system works well and there's something appealing about your head of state being selected without their consent and doing it out of duty rather than ambition. We'd have an "establishment" just as much if we were a republic.

It's great fun to watch it all being done with horses, fancy uniforms, marching bands and pageantry. When they visit towns (and they do that all the time) people line the streets. They end up being discussed, often fawningly, on TV news shows around the world, Films, TV series and thousands of books are produced about them. That's a hard act for any family to manage. Yet they do it, sometimes perfectly, sometimes badly and always under the media glare.

They give a lot already; it's only decent to let them have private lives in private too.

They give a lot already

They do extremely important work as living symbols of the nation state (in a world that's no so interested in that form of government anymore.....).

jon357
14 Mar 2024  #2925

It's what they do and why it works.

It has both an entire, highly developed, and resilient establishment behind it. It's a delicate ecosystem too. That is so much of its appeal.

It's also a nice distraction from brutal street to street fighting in Palestine, a huge trench war in Ukraine, , looming inflation, economic strife, the rise of elected fascists in Europe and America and a growing worldwide demographic crisis.

The end? Let the c*nts who have power, money, yachts, villas and golden toilets worry about "the end". What do we have to lose? 9-5 jobs and lifetime mortgages?

Do you think the bastards want to die or hide like rats underground for the rest of their lives? Yeah, right.

Facists in America and Europe? Indeed, all the mask mandating, vaccine mandating, 4 day work week, basic income for everyone, wokeism fvcktards fall into the facist group.

Meanwhile the war in Ukraine continues. Men keep getting killed on both sides needlessly. And still the leftist cheerleaders here want it to continue. Macron yesterday stated what I said months ago, that taking Crimea would mean defeat for Vlad. WOW Took that idiot long enough to state the most obvious. Reports out of Washington now say that congress will present a Ukraine funding bill by the end of March or early April that will include loans to Ukraine and the siezure of money from frozen Russian assets. If true, while the loans are a better idea, taking Russian assets before a peace deal is done is probably illegal. Usually those deals are negotiated as part of the peace process. I dont even think the US took frozen assets from any of the countries it was at war with in the middle east. Sets a bad precedent.

Both sides could stop it today. Neither chooses to. It takes more than one to have a war. Anyone not calling for peace has really not thought things through or paid attention to the experts. Ukraine cannot push Russia out. It is just not going to happen no matter what they do. In less than 8 months the US will likely have a new president and then there will be zero funding and zero help. Anyone thinking Ukraine can win in 8 months has not been paying attention for two years.

What happens if Ukraine gives up? Countrywide Bucha? Refugee flows that make 2022 look small?

If you were Ukrainian how would you respond to the prospect of russian rule (knowing russian state media's frequent calls to 'exterminate' you)?

Someone who first forces a stronger opponent to challenge him to a duel, and then goes into it thinking that now the opponent will shoot himself - deserves Mr. Darwin's satisfied smile. ;) And those who from a safe distance convince that a$$hole that his opponent is about to shoot himself deserve the gallows.

Oooh, I'm curious now! Which side is it?

Is it Ukraine?

Are you sure, that Ukraine really should just surrender? I mean - certainly it would stop the daily torrent of death... but that's not such a big deal at the end of the day.

It would mean the erasure of an entire culture, that has produced so many globally recognized authors, composers, and artists.

It would mean the wiping out of time tested institutions and traditions, shaped over thirty years and representing the synthesis of Ukrainian spirit and thought.

A vibrant, straight-dealing, and industrious people, would be taken over by backwards, corrupt, and lazy miscreants.

Obviously, forgetting Bandera, Shukhevych and other heroes who cleansed the world of Polish and Yiddish contagion will be a heavy blow to the cultural heritage of mankind....

No, thank you. All previous attempts to accept such "help, support, advice or direction" was the steps to disaster.

So no Russian will complain if U.S.A and the west just looks at Russia from a distance and lets it crumble like in 1980's Soviet Union or 1920's Germany. Not only that but, increase the debt as well

What happens if Ukraine has a neutral party reach out to Russia to arrange peace talks? Ukraine survives. They lose territory and remain out of NATO which they will not get into anyway. They get into the EU. Russia makes some reparations and keeps those lands it took military and weapon free zones as a buffer. Crimea is made neutral, and Ukraine property that was confiscated by Russia in Crimea is given back to its Ukraine owners. Men stop being killed. Civilians stop being killed, and the rebuilding of Ukraine, along with the actual modernizing of what a $hit hole Ukraine is, can begin. Z is out of office, and UN watchdogs act as observers of new elections after all Ukraine refugees either return or get to vote where ever they may be. Not perfect, but it ends the war. Europe has the next six to eight years to build up enough military to deter Russia from trying this again. I win the Nobel peace prize and I donate the money to a charity of my choice. The end.

Anyone thinking that is not a fair deal for both sides to stop a war, is not reading the current battleground information correctly. Ukraine is losing ground every day. No new weapons or money have arrived in a very long time. Ukraine has publicly stated they are running out of men and are resorting to emptying the prisons next week. Ukraine is not in a position of strength. And wouldnt it be nice if some children got their fathers to return home alive?

mafketis

What happens if

the chances of russia honoring any agreement about military and weapon free zones is about as likely as putain losing the election

ask the russians here what kind of peace they find acceptable....
