Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 11

@jon357
I don't know why the President of Iran is flying around in a 45 year old Bell 212.
Even the president of some Mongolia or Kyrgyzstan does not fly in a rust bucket like that.
Russia should gift them some Mi-8/17.
In general... motorcycles and helicopters are machines of death. Presidents should be like Kim Jong Un - taking leisurely train trips :)

@Bobko
Helicopters and planes have a long life. It probably had nice leather seats.
helicopters are machines of death
Bloody awful things.
I did the 'helicopter training' when they submerge you upside down, deep under the water, in the dark wearing a 'rebreather' and in a helicopter body and you have to get out 9 times.
Horrible to do and pretty pointless since nobody survives that kind of accident.

Sounds absolutely retarded.
It's not hard to get out of a submerged helicopter if in possession of a rebreather, or a normal scuba kit.
The hard part is surviving the crash into the water in a metal box moving at several dozen meters per second. You are absolutely right.
I wonder if in all of the history of offshore oil exploration and extraction, or military operations, there has been a single person that survived a crash at sea thanks to having a rebreather.
Why a rebreather? Due to smaller weight in comparison to traditional tank and regulator? Why not just a life vest? Are you trying to stay below a film of fuel burning on the surface?

Sounds absolutely retarded.
Necessary to have the he certificate to workmm no on rigs or certain types of ship
In reality, you'd almost certainly be dashed to pieces as soon as it hit the water
Why a rebreather
Usable without training and a convenient to wear with a life jacket.
Are you trying to stay below a film of fuel burning on the surface?
The weather conditions when choppers come down are generally so foul that the waves are too high for that (and the chance of rescue so low)
wonder if in all of the ....there has been a single person that survived a crash at sea
Pretty well none.
The best bit of that training was the Norwegian Waters Certification where you slide down a very long netting tube. That bit was fun.

Usable without training
In my book, a rebreather requires much, much more training than a normal tank and regulator. For most people, a rebreather is something reserved only for special forces and technical divers.
I think the reason may be, that a rebreather precludes you from losing excess heat and moisture through exhalation. So if you are waiting for a rescue somewhere in the North Sea, in conditions no human should survive, it'll give you a little extra time through later onset dehydration and hypothermia.
Another reason may be, that you don't have to train people how to purge, when you use a rebreather.
It will also give you more time in general, but I find it kind of hard to believe that run of the mill rig workers would know all the intricacies of a rebreather.
If you're wearing normal clothes however, you're as good as dead anyway.
Do rig workers board a helicopter wearing a dry suit?
As recently as the 1980s - a rebreather was straight up James Bond tech.
Overall, quite surprising to me.

They are establishing the version for the media now, how to proceed, who to blame, how to respond. If Jews did it then how to avoid escalation, and if IRGC then how to convince the public

helicopters are machines of death
A relative is an airplane pilot who knew some helicopter pilots and they had a joke:
Q: What's the difference between a helicopter pilot and a pizza?
A: A pizza doesn't have glass in it.
I went on a couple of helicopter rides (they were an attraction at county fairs for a while) and just remember them being far louder and shakier than planes.
In other news, Iranians are reportedly celebrating his possible death with fireworks....

Speaking of Russia... Not just historically (we lost General Lebed in a helo crash, a potential replacement for Yeltsin), but in terms of business life and simply famous people - helicopters have claimed too many people.
In NYC, we had several helicopters crash into either the East River or the Hudson, or even worse.
I hate them a little bit less than motorcycles.
Last week, I was in Cancun and in a single day I saw two fatal motorcycle crashes.
One of them, was an American couple. When I was driving past, the guy was throwing up blood, and the girl was totally grey and motionless. What a vacation!
I much rather look gay in my rented VW Passat or Jeep Wrangler, than get killed because someone didn't apply the breaks in time.

A normal human being would have stopped to render medical assistance or at least hold their hand whilst they draw their last breath, but of course you are russian. This ties in perfectly when that Sukhoi crashed in the sea and all the russians just kept on drinking beers and let the pilot drown instead of jumping on their jetskis and rescueing him.
Mafketis is right, russians are intrinsically deformed; subhumans who only act properly when they have the whip of great polish nation over them.

It doesn't require any training. Just take a deep breath and breath into the bag.
all the intricacies of a rebreather.
A bag isn't intricate.
Do rig workers board a helicopter wearing a dry suit?
Yes.
The course also involves firefighting, specific safety protocols and several other things. It's a requirement for petrochemicals ships and for platforms.
Some good news. No signs of life have been found at the crash site. It looks like the Butcher of Tehran is dead.

No! A normal person in a civilized country would call the cops.
In Mexico, nothing is normal. Bobko was 100% correct by not getting involved. You touch the guy and he will sue you later and claim that you caused him excruciating pain that lasted years. Now try to prove that you didn't.
Of course, you know all that...You decided to chime in with your crap post only because Bobko is Russian.
BTW, In China, faking injury or sickness is an industry. If you really fall, people will just walk around you or over you.
In the US, not all states have Good Samaritan laws.

Yes. In some countries, it's a legal requirement to assist.
Even where it isn't, it's normal to do so.
he will sue you later and claim that you caused him excruciating pain that lasted years. Now try to prove that you didn't.
That however isn't normal and no decent legal system would expect a passer by assisting someone to have the same skills as, say, a nurse.

Let me underline, again. Only way Russia to save Poland is Russia to declare,... for every BS of some Polish politician, we nuke some Capital of western Europe.
This is the only way for Poland to be saved from outside.
See, imagine in what kind of trouble Poland finds itself, when this is the case.
Now, if Poles move out on the streets and demand that Poland goes out of NATO, demand Poland to be led by serious and sane leaders, who knows, maybe still isn`t too late.

It is called "Good Samaritan law".

It is called "Good Samaritan law".
It's a sensible idea.
As I say, there's an obligation to help (whether legal or just ethical) and of course nobody would ever expect a random passerby to have the same first aid skills as a trained person.
We don't have that law in the UK however it would be expected that people help and it would be seen as shameful if people just ignored someone in distress. I know you have that law in Germany. I was in Moabit a couple of years ago and a man was unconscious in the street. Someone was already helping him so I didn't need to stop, however I saw a couple of police nearby and said "Es gibt einen Mann. Er liegt auf der Straße". They said they knew and were going to him.
It seems crazy that an American would sue.

A normal human being
Why are you chiming in with that nonsense? Do you feel better about yourself now? I'm pretty sure many Polish people wouldn't stop either.

Maf is an intrinsically deformed moron.
Look who is talking! You better look into the mirror Uncle Ruckus.

your crap post only because Bobko is Russian.
Why not? After all, it is the Russians that every couple of decades come to Poland with bad intentions in mind and need a swift kick in the balls to have them reeling back into the woodwork where they lick their wound to try again their luck later.
They tried once in the 20th century to get their ass beaten so they tried again but with a little help from their friend Hitler.
If Poland were Israel you are so in love with we would be right to get right of them once and for all. Since we are Poland every maggot and half-wit seems to be entitled to have his or her stupid opinion nobody asked for.

Indeed. There was a noticeable case in my home town a few years ago, when several (by all accounts wealthy) people ignored an unconscious man lying on the floor in a bank. Some of them literally stepped over him in order to access their accounts... . I think they got fined or even received a suspended prison sentence.
I get the hesitation to apply first aid to a stranger, especially of you are untrained. But everyone can call emergency services nowadays when everyone has a mobile phone.

More for trying to usurp the role of a head of state than anything else.
Many Heads of state of major and minor countries in Europe and elsewhere have passed on the usual condolences. He has no role in diplomacy.

If Hitler was assassinated, the gutless EU bureaucrats would send their condolences to the Nazi party and have a minute of silence in his honor because, as the PF faggot said, this is what diplomacy requires.
