a major blow for the charlatan Johnson and populists everywhere

Viva unpopulist politics?

Good one Mad :)
What I meant was, parliamentary democracy is master over the "will of the people" every single time.
The proles have to protected from themselves because they are collectively too involved to see the wood from the trees
That is why we elect people to represent us in our constituency, yet Johnson believes he can steamroller his right wing ideology on the British.

Wrong. We are not as dumb or desperate as you Yanks.

Maf.......😀

Don't sell yourself short Dougie, you're much dumber than us Yanks. You still have Londionstan to contend with and Gunchester is falling next! LoL

Without a shot being fired? You limeys are losing your heritage quickly aren't you?

If there is hope... I guess it does not lie with the proles...

@Joker
I didn't sell myself short joker - we are actually a whole lot smarter than you Yanks.
Being a good rower doesn't get you into a British university irrespective of academic prowess.

Pure speculation and another false claim, your cities are a PC disaster. You never answered why you emigrated to Poland from the UK either. I assume, the rest of the British weren't as smart as you and whilst your native home is on a downward spiral, you decided to abscond for a better life and lower wages in Poland?

You never answered why you emigrated to Poland f

First, you told me to mind my own business. Secondly, please consult Ziemowit's notes.

but the net has its disadvantages

Yes, it does. I don't mean to be so crabby lately, sorry.

We would have a great time if we ever met because of our shared love of music

I think so too, we can drink some beers and play some blues guitar! Im in Dude:)

so crabby lately,

No joker - we all like to wind each other up, but it's all cool. I'm actually a big Americana fan. I'm listening to Paul Simon right now on my amazing vintage 3 head Denon tape deck. Wonderful stuff (the 70s - not "Graceland......")

Looks like Boris Johnson is the shoe in for May.
He'll get the Brexit done so the U.S. and Britain can pass some great trade deals to help our markets out.
I'm lovin' it as the stock market will go cha ching to prolong the market crash a bit longer.

Congratulations, BOJO!
77th P.M. of the UK
Good luck to all our British friends:)

Only thing about Bojo's that he's slightly more palatable, if only because of his erudition:-) "Blondie", as the Germans call our
Tweeter-in-Chief, sounds like a vulgarian from Queens, cheap and bummy, spreading a thin veneer of accomplishments which scarcely reach out to the broad spectrum of Americans, as compared say with your hero, FDR LOL.

We Americans have become so suspicious of literate types, we innately distrust anybody who sounds "too highbrow".

He is just another clear example that the people prefer Conservatism over Communism.

You do realise he wasn't voted in in general election but by his , conservative as it happens, party?

I sat next to Nina and her manager on a flight to Munich once. She was totally down to earth and a really nice lady. Well, maybe she wasn't on drugs then... :)

I just read about Jonhson. One of his slogans is Energise Britain. It occured to me it somehow resembles Trump`s Make America great again.

Are you claiming he isn't the 77th PM of the UK? More lefty dreams shattered and she's isn't even British! Haha

They both even have the same hair style only Trumps is combed.

They almost look like they could be brothers, BOJO was born in NYC as well?????

What about the the Iranians pirating your ship and taking the crew (23) as hostages?

It should be infuriating to most Brits and BOJO needs to take action, NO?

They know Teresa May is weak kneed and could take advantage of her, but I don't think BOJO will cower?

Im Interested in hearing the British perspective.

Lyzko
23 Jul 2019  #1196

No, Johnny. It's yet ( but another) crystalline example of how the misguided vote with their arseholesLOL
Plenty of Conservative anti-Communists out there I'm sure, more cut out to be head of state.

Lenka
24 Jul 2019  #1197

Are you claiming he isn't the 77th PM of the UK?

Poor boy! Having reading comprehension problems again? Let me help you- I never wrote he is not an PM but that he wasn't elected by the public but by conservative party members which makes Johnny's comment about people prefering conservatives as valid as yours poor attempt at addressing my post

Joker

Poor boy! Having reading comprehension problems again

My comprehension is fine. Its abundantly clear that you and your evil twin sister wont get any warnings for trolling me with your ridicule. So, no further reply to your pre-teen baiting is necessary.

More like Trump's love child. I see that Ivanka Trump has tweeted congrats to Boris on becoming PM of the United KINGSTON!!! And she's an 'adviser' to the US President...........memories of Ronald Reagan and the famous Princess "David" moment.
