Brexit 2019 and Poland

Dougpol1
10 Jul 2019  #1,141

Boris is going to be the next PM and he will make Britain leave on the deadline, with or without a deal.

There is such a thing as a vote of no confidence in a democracy, and you can bet your house that is what Johnson will be served if he tries to dissolve parliament and prevent a vote on the No Deal question.

If there is a general election I confidently predict a no Brexit majority. The British are 60 percent by population property owners, and Brexit ain't gonna go down well with the middle classes when they eventually engage their pea brains (the Tory base vote)

Because most leaders in finance forecast a substantial fall in property prices over a three year period after any Brexit. The British wont wear that.

Pity the US hasn't adopted that practice or Trump would be out on his royal arse!

that the British people would vote for a second time to leave the European Union.

Whats the point in voting when you don't accept the results?

Pity the US hasn't adopted that practice

You could always move to England if you don't like our laws.

Youre lucky to be living here instead of run down Europe.

Run down??!
On which planet are you living, Charlie? Europe is soooooo much more advanced both socially, culturally, above all, medically (except for Britain, that's true)

compared with the US it's not funny.

America ought to borrow from Europe the positive elements such as socialized medicine rather than simply paying lip service to loving her citizens.
Our great strength is solely our size and wealth of natural resources. Our people resources typically come from elsewhere anyway and so we've already

picked the brains of Europe's best and brightest - look at NASA:-)

There are many European countries that are richer per head than the US, life expectancy is higher, health when alive is higher, literacy rates are higher, infrastructure is better. I love the US and it has lots of advantages but at the moment there are lots of parts of it that look run down.

What difference does it make to you if your house is worth 500,000 or 400,000 if all properties went down by 20%?
Are planning to ever cash out and live in a tent for 100?

House prices in Britain are much higher as a portion of income than in Russia - it's a small land mass, half of it is hills with 65 million people to cram in.

So people end up remortgaging their house a lot (not always wise) and that means falling house prices hurt the economy very deeply.

I think youre soooo full of BS! Culturally??? Are you kidding? They lost their culture without a shot even being fired! LOL

Perhaps, you can file a complaint on France`s Jihad watch?

jihadwatch.org/2019/06/muslims-in-france-complain-of-widespread-islamophobia-2

Just one example from many EU countries, except Poland of course, which doesn't except muzzles.

Europe has turned into nothing more than a 3rd world toilet because of PC liberals like yourself!

Pew research poll: Where is the best place to live in Europe for Muzzies and who wants them to be part of their family?

blogistan.co.uk/blog/mt.php/2019/01/03/where-in-europe-is-the-best-place-to-be-muslim

It looks like the multiculturalism that you speak of changed has changed the face of Europe.

who wants them to be part of their family?

this type of poll is meaningless, I've yet to meet a single person in europe who supports large scale immigration from NAfrican MEastern countries (including believing muslims, since the ones I know are often in Europe to get away from their crazy dysfunctional countries).

Posturing in public is one thing.... I've also heard (highly educated and otherwise very progressive) western europeans bond over how hopeless the MEast immigrants in their countries are (often in a 'you think yours are the worst.... lemme tell about ours!)

@Joker, obviously you've never left the States, nor cared to, because had you bothered to broaden your horizons any, you'd realize that
either you're merely trying to provoke me, or, more than likely, you don't know your butt from your elbow about the real world!!

Let's look at socialized medicine. Although Sweden has indeed adopted a national system closer to the US nowadays, you don't
see millions of Scandis, Dutch, Germans, or Italians running from their country screaming "HELP!! I JUST GOTTA GET SOME OF
THAT US MEDICAL CARE!!", do you?

In the end, it's not about being liberal, centrist or rock-ribbed Republican, it's about accepting the truth about one's own country,
no matter how unpleasant or embarrassing. Maybe we can improve?

Dougpol1
12 Jul 2019  #1,153

Maybe we can improve?

Nationalists live in some weird kind of myopic utopia. They don't see that there is anything about their countries intended mission statement that needs to be improved. That would be fine, if they were happy and content, and so didn't bother anyone else with their extreme right-wing agendas.

@Joker, obviously you've never left the States,

Not according to my passport and Im sure Ive been to Poland more times than your have and going back there again in Sept:)

I don't think anywhere in Europe is better living than the USA. You actually want me to believe living in Sweden is better? I wouldnt live in a country that blast Islamic prayers over a loudspeaker on a daily basis. Perhaps, its nice for a liberal with TDS, so go there and try it. You'll be back in 6 months, because you take our country for granted and just whine about everything.

Dougpol1

I wouldnt live in a country that blast Islamic prayers over a loudspeaker on a daily basis.

I wouldn't live in a country where you can be blasted by the cops for reaching for your wallet in the glove box of your car.

Also catholic prayers are broadcast over loudspeakers too and if you didn't feel depressed before, one does after that inane latin drone. Not to mention the fukking "bells"

Joker

blasted by the cops for reaching for your wallet in the glove box of your car.

Na, you're watching too much T.V. Ive been pulled over plenty of times by the cops in my life and never been shot yet:)

This kind of activity is usually reserved in the high crime black neighborhoods. I don't blame the cops for being careful with these thugs.

Im sure, its similar to the muslim "No Go Zones" of Europe, but you get slashed by a knife instead.

Its a good thing the Polish Govnt. said No to the EU, right?

Hurry, up and get Brexit over with then make a trade deal with Trump:) Hows BOJO doing? Ill have to read up:)

Hurry, up and get Brexit over with then make a trade deal with Trump:)

No thanks joker. America doesn't have anything we want. China is the new force - didn't you know? And in private, away for their silly blustering, the government knows that Brexit isn't going to happen. They're just waiting for the next recession or a war to dissipate the fact that parliament will not pass their xenophobic agenda. Then they will quietly return to the status quo, in a similar scenario to a marriage crisis that blows over.

Or (better) they will be voted out in a general election and we can have an end to austerity and return to our club, the European Union, where we are a fully paid up member.

And two fingers to Trump - "Once more into the breach, dear friends!"

Joker
13 Jul 2019  #1,158

. China is the new force - didn't you know?

I see their economy collapsing and them deflating their currency, but stick with your friends from the East. Perhaps, when the Europeans start another world war they can come to your defense?

Or (better) they will be voted out in a general election

I see BOJO is still on top of all the UK polls:)

Just because you don't like him, doesn't mean the intelligent Brits won't vote for him.

Dougpol1
13 Jul 2019  #1,159

the intelligent Brits won't vote for him.

Sorry to misquote, but no, the "intelligent" Brits certainly will not vote for Boris in a General Election.. Just wait and see.

Give it up, Dougpol1! Joker, like Johnny, is a true jingoist and won't believe that any place in the world is better than where he's from, because he chooses

ignorance over knowledge and enlightenment. Travel broadens, insularity deadens and mate, Joker sounds dead from the neck up:-)

If I were ever to move away from the USA the last place on earth would be gloomy old Europe. Who wants to deal with all their problems and lousy weather.

Why don't you move there, it certainly has to be better than scummy New Jersey?
Why do you complain so much about America on the internet, can't you afford to leave?

Btw, I will be inheriting property in Poland someday and have more of a connection than you ever will:)

cms neuf
13 Jul 2019  #1,162

He is not top of the UK polls - he is a to of a poll of his own party's members. When he wins that his next job is to form a govt which will be difficult as his party do not have a majority at the moment. So there may be an election which he probably would not win. His party has support around 25 percent at the moment.

I find the British parliament fascinating to watch on tv, but just as confusing as well.

I wish you all the best, good luck!

Europe wouldn't be good for you anyway, Joker; There, they still have business laws which restrict the unbridled meglomaniacal selfishness of a our president:-) Probably, were you to go across the Pond, they'd send you back.....express mailLOL

13 Jul 2019  #1,165

Really?

I been treated with the upmost respect each time that Ive been there. Of course, I don't deal with keyboard jockeys, like yourself whilst Im abroad.

How many times have you really been to Poland and/or the UK, Lyzko?

Let see some pics????

I can prove all my visits. You're making a claim like I have never been there before. So, put you money where your mouth is then:)

Lyzko

Throughout the 90's, once or twice a year in Scandinavia, Germany, Central Europe for several months, and once in Poland.
I haven't been back since 2000, but my wife and I are planning a trip to Berlin within several years.

Oh, and two-and-a-half months on business in Spain, '97, nearly forgot:-)

I see that those pesky overweight DUP politicians are trying to prevent MPs from passing a vote to stop parliament being suspended (so inadvertandly helping Johnson to get his No Deal through parliament by a shut door policy)

The little protestant fuks wont allow NI to have the same abortion rights as the Republic, and thus will clearly vote against the bill to ensure democracy today.

Hopeless! I was about to say the bastards need shooting (but only in the vernacular sense obviously) They are pretty dumb because a No Deal would screw NI over handsomely and plunge them into recession. Goodbye jobs and homes, but the politicians are alright Jack.

Scum.

Hurrah!
A majority of 41 MPs have told Johnson to go and jump in the lake. Parliament will be recalled, and Johnson cant now bypass parliament and bully us into a No deal Brexit. If this was 1649 it would be off with his head.

Bratwurst Boy
18 Jul 2019  #1,168

Can you explain this abit? What happened and what will happen now?

Dougpol1
18 Jul 2019  #1,169

Yes. The conservatives led by Johnson were suggesting that parliaments' summer recess could be legally extended, so not allowing time for a No Deal Brexit to be debated (and voted on) in the event of the EU not reopening the Withdrawal agreement.

This would lead to a No Deal Brexit by the back door. A cheating of democracy and a constitutional outrage.

This vote today supports an amendment that MPs must meet before the end of this parliament to discuss and vote on Northern Irish legislation. So, at the same time, MPs can table amendments to attempt to prevent a No Deal exit from the EU. And it is clear that MPs will, in that event, defeat a governmnet motion to go for a No Deal.

Johnson would then have two main options:
1. Call for a parliamentary vote on No Deal/May's Deal/ Revoke....Revoke would likely win such a vote.
2. Call a General Election - which the polls say would be on a knife edge, Brexiteers v Remainers.

Either way, this is a major blow for the charlatan Johnson and populists everywhere.

Interesting, thanks!

I read the EU isn't changing it's position (new EU commissions president Von Der Leyen said so too)...so the MP's will have to meet and discuss again. That's good...
