Coronavirus in Poland

even with vaccine there is a amall chance that you can get the virus

This is the most German post ever. on. this. forum.

The most German post would be: I don't believe in wearing mighty dust masks but I'll do it anyway because ordnung muss sein :-)

It is hardly "German" to stick to the facts. Someone said that only people without vaccines would die, and I pointed out that this is not the case.

mandatory in relatively sane UK

This is no doubt part of the reason why the UK is doing so terribly.

We have a new 'most German' winner!

True. But it depends how you look at things. Maybe that wasn't a prediction but a thinly veiled threat? :-)

What kind of threat?

Are you talking about America or Poland or the EU?

The EU has a population of 500 million and they have ordered only 300 million of the Pfizer/Biotech vaccine which requires an initial shot and a booster so that's 150 million people who can be vaccinated. Therefore in the EU, there will be no question of everybody being vaccinated.][/quote]
Well I guess it would apply more to the EU than the US as the former has arguably dealt with it better but I was thinking more generally tbh. But if as you say only 150 million can be vaccinated I assume they would all go to those in vulnerable groups. I'm not sure how many of the 500 million are in these groups but if it was any more than 30% I would have thought the EU would have ordered more. Of course the definition of vulnerable can be subjective and cover more than just the elderly.

The point I was making thou is there seems to be an assumption that everyone needs to be vaccinated for things to 'get back to normal'. I personally think that the majority will do, once people who are ill and/or vulnerable who want it have it done then less vulnerable groups who consent to it will also follow. But if getting things 'back to normal' (as in no lockdowns or restrictions) depends on forcing the unwilling to get something they don't want then I don't see it as that realistic.

forcing the unwilling to get something they don't want

I don't think that's at all likely in the EU. Maybe in a few of the 'maverick' nations like Hungary but on the whole, you won't see forced vaccinations.

Btw since I wrote my original post the EU has signed deals for more vaccines from other suppliers so there is enough to vaccinate everybody and some left over, 1.4 billion doses to be exact.

You don't need to vaccinate everybody but the view of epidemiologists is that it would need to be about 80% for the virus to disappear.

Western politicians should be the ones to take it first.

As I reiterated to show there will be no shortages HOWEVER.........the latest from Phizer today........
The good news:
The Phizer vaccine is more effective then first thought pushing it over a 95% effective rate.
The bad news:
There won't be enough vaccines available for the general public until the end of 2021.
It will be only available to First Responders first.
A script from a doctor will be required.
No one knows the cost yet or who will pay for it.
That is in America.
Does anyone know how the E.U. is going to distribute it ?

18 Nov 2020  #3761

Another question that we should be asking is: "How long will this vaccine keep us immune to the virus" ?
Will we need to get booted up every year ?
And "what are the long term effects to our bodies immune system from this vaccine" ?
I also read that there are many side effects to the vaccine.
Anyone have a list of them ?

It will vary from country to country. The only thing I can say for certain is that Ireland has been allocated 1.1% of the 300 million Pfizer vaccines. That requires two doses per vaccination so we'll be getting enough to vaccinate about a quarter of our population and it will go to health care workers, the elderly and vulnerable first. The general population will be able to get it by the middle of next year. Poland has said something weird and vague about it being given first to 'mothers, fathers and grandmothers'!!

I also read that there are many side effects to the vaccine.

I read the opposite. According to Pfizer, side effects are mild to moderate and clear up quickly.

Western politicians should be the ones to take it first.

Along the same line of thought, those who made nasty comments about the US and Trump should be denied vaccines made here. Others should be charged to recoup the expenses plus 300% profit to make it available to Americans for free since it is they who paid for it.

China...... to wipe out America's debt to them.
All in favor say "I" !
There has been a spike in covid because there is a spike in testing.
If we had more i.q. tests there would be a spike in morons too.

There has been a spike in covid because there is a spike in testing.

That's way too logical for the over-obedient masses who wear masks even when alone in their own cars with the windows up and the next guy a mile away.

Personally, I'm not super eager to take a vaccine developed in a hurry... (especially not one with two separate jabs and still are only to be effective for three months)...

So.... whatsevers I think it will simply run its course by the time a reliable vaccine is around (or this one).

The second wave seems to maybe be cresting in much of Europe (knock on wood) so let's see how long before a third...

Personally, I'm not super eager to take a vaccine developed in a hurry..

Neither am I.
The chinavirus "pandemic" finally revealed how well the most oppressive, Orwellian-grade regimes can hide inside a "democracy" and rule with the iron fist for the benefit of the oppressed, of course, whether they collectively like it or not. This typically happens in societies that are in the grip of safetism at all cost.

We had lockdowns, masks, and social distancing. It seems that these didn't work as well as advertised and that is why we are seeing those "second waves" everywhere. Why, then, are we hearing about lockdowns, masks, and social distancing again?

Did any government employee lose his job as non-essential in Poland?

It's planned, though I don't know what the latest is. Morawiecki was talking about it a few weeks ago.

The second wave seems to maybe be cresting in much of Europe (knock on wood) so let's see how long before a third...

Alas, common sense seems to be going out of the window again. I had to physically block one guy with my trolley in the supermarket earlier because he was hell bent on pushing next to me so he could put stuff on the conveyor belt. Another stupid woman was reaching right over me to get some cheese rather than waiting for me to finish looking at what I was looking at.

To try and slow the rate of infection to prevent health care services from being overwhelmed.

Alas, common sense seems to be going out of the window again

Hundreds of years of inculturation don't disappear just because some policy wonk gives 'helpful' guidance. Imagine if the situation were opposite that for some reason people in Scotland were advised to give up their personal space in public (and to kiss friends on the cheeks three times when meeting). How would that go?

try and slow the rate of infection to prevent health care services from being overwhelmed

They had that and they wasted it and there's not the slightest reason to believe that if they had another chance they wouldn't waste that either. The only way PiS gets anything done is crisis management - otherwise they sink into nasty backbiting and idiotic lawmaking....

No more lockdowns.

19 Nov 2020  #3772

I don't know about no lockdowns but certainly this one is a different kind of despair. Their main way of keeping new cases down seems to be to stop testing.

So I can do most things - some work, essential shopping, some kind of education for the kids, some kind of exercise, the odd whisky or glass of wine,

But it is life with all the small pleasures squeezed out - no meeting friends for a beer, no lazy coffee, no nights out, no taking the wife or kids to see a movie, no flirting in the gym, no pool or sauna, no weekends in Prague or Berlin. It's very bad for the spirit and there doesn't seem to be a quick route out.

Why exactly does it have to be an RNA vaccine now when it has never been done before and needs to be rushed?
There is nothing special about this coronavirus that requires this.
The RNA vaccine rewrites part of your immune cells, if it completely janks them up is it going to require yearly patches/boosters to keep your immune system functioning like some sort of subscription based service? Immunity as a service, pay by Apple or GooglePay credits now!

To try and slow the rate of infection to prevent health care services from being overwhelmed.

If the first cycle didn't work, why do it again?
How many lockdowns can Poland afford?
I don't mean to pick on Poland. We see the same pattern almost everywhere.

delphiandomine
19 Nov 2020  #3775

How would that go?

AM NOT GIVING UP MA PERSONAL DISTANCE AND AHM NO A POOF or something like that ;)

No, but seriously, this is perhaps the one thing where I think the government have badly failed on. Their information policy has been completely chaotic and disorganised,

My new rule is to stand the end of the conveyor belt with the trolley behind me until everything has been placed on the belt. Then I can move directly to the till without having anyone breathing on me or reaching over me.

Oh, and I've also started a photo collection of people who can't follow simple lines on the ground marking 2m between people.

RNA

Precisely why I'll never take it. This isn't the kind of vaccine where they put a small part of the virus in your body for it to fight it off.

I worry about Europe though. In the US if you and your kids don't want a vaccine they won't force you to get one and you can still attend schools and live a normal life and not get fined for it. It varies state to state, but overall there's a large degree of freedom. You say you're a Jehova's Witness or have a personal objection and you're good. Not so much in Europe - they can bar you from schools, jobs, and fine you tons of money for refusing vaccines.

delphiandomine

fine you tons of money for refusing vaccines

Poland: 10,000zł for the first offence, up to 50,000zł in total.

Dirk diggler
19 Nov 2020  #3778

A small price to pay for personal freedom and not risking potentially deadly side effects. One good thing though is that Poland gives far less vaccines to small children than when I was born. For whatever reason several years after I was born the US basically doubled if not tripled the amount of vaccines a child receives from infant to pre-teen.

@Dirk

Bill Gates one of the most prominent frontment of the globalist elite openly admits that their plan is to use the vaccine to achieve their agenda of reducing the world population. He is also among the biggest donors to the criminal WHO which did absolutely nothing to prevent the spreading of the coronavirus globally.

Sterilization of young male children is a possible side effect caused by an untested vaccine.

Dirk diggler

See now that wouldn't be such a bad thing if he was giving out a bunch of vaccines in Africa and the Arab world. There's no reason why a husband and wife should have 10 kids like in African and Arab culture unless they're wealthy and can afford it. But that's not the case 99% of the time - 99% of the time just like the hordes that came to Europe and North America, they become the white man's burden.
