Poland is simply doing a terrible job with the virus. Just went to the Christmas light display here in Krakow. It was packed with people shoulder to shoulder, probably 70% not wearing masks properly if at all. No social distancing at all. But hey lets close the shopping malls. Poland is going through all of the vaccine they have. The problem is it is coming in doses of 300,000 per week starting last week. At this rate, if everyone in Poland got it, it would take 2 years to get everyone done. If only half get it, its still a year. So something has to change or its going to be a while before things go back to normal.

I suggested the military set up mobile med clinics however since it was such a good idea Peter Pan didn't want me to take credit for it so he took the thread Off Topic so he could diminish my idea.

All these self serving yo yo's who refuse to wear masks or social distance are just prolonging the problem by keeping the hospitals filled.

No stress, no hurry, except to flog the Chinese vaccine to the third world while the West is hoarding their stuff. Then it's only a matter of keeping out the filthy laowai as much as possible. I would bet that in one year's time, Western travellers to China will still get tested and quarantined like crazy even if they are already vaccinated. Meanwhile the EU will allow Chinese citizens to get in without any extra checks. The voluntary wumao brigade here will have a field day.

In fact even now the test centres set up by Lufthansa on Germany airports are mainly for passengers going to China,no test no flight.

Reached Warsaw with no probs had to fill out 2 forms basically asking all questions and places I have been to for the last 2 weeks,answered them truthfully but no instructions to quarantine.Had a friend call sanepeid and they said they will call me tomorrow after they get the form to qarentine,Just in case I downloaded the app which told me that I am not in the system so took the screen shot of it,lets see what happens jutro.Vodka time now.

Nothing has changed, rightist government is simply unable to organise such a complex action. A few months ago they promised everything would be well organised when Poland receives vaccines. Now, there are 600.000 vaccine doses waiting for distribution but only 50.000 people have been vaxed so far. The ratio is 0.13 administered vaccines per 100 people in Poland, while in the USA it is 1.3 and in Germany 0.30.

It is shocking and I thought one of the reasons for this national quarantine was to make a big step forward on vaccinating the health workers and old people. Just like the first lockdown it looks like it will be wasted time

My friends wife came from Amsterdam on saturday and got call from cops to quarantine yesterday and I came Sunday and no call yet,even the kwaratanna app says my number is not in database,wonder whats going on with the system here in Poland.
