I guess it all depends on the area and the time of the day.
I haven't seen anyone panic but people are buying supplies. So have I.
I went shopping to my local biedronka three days in a row -so more often than usually .
On the first day I saw no rice on the shelves and just few packets of less popular kasza like bulgur or some 'mixes' but there was pasta. I saw no shortages of meat or bread on any of these three days. On just one day the queues were longer than usually.
The ladies at the tills were wearing rubber gloves and most people queuing had more stuff in the trolleys than usually but not all of them.
I saw some posts from friends on fb. One was a video from a lidl with the meat fridges almost empty at 10 am. But then again they might have been refilled later in the day with new supplies. As I said I had no problem with getting meat or fish the following day. Another friend posted a photo from a bus -apparently you can't get in through the door by the driver as usually and there's a tape protecting them from the passengers. I've also heard the doors open automatically now -you don't press the button. Looks odd but makes sense.
Today I went to collect medicine for my parents. I didn't want them to go out. Pharmacies smell through that little window in the door or ask the customers to get in one by one. They also ask you to keep a safe distance from another and people really seem to be sticking to the rules. I saw no one complaining and I went past several pharmacies today.
Finally, I got into a bakery. There was a sign on the door asking people to wait outside if there are three customers inside. Again no one seemed to be bothered. And actually there were no more than three customers when I was there.
