It's actually a very fair point - most countries don't have the ability to deal with a massive amount of retiring people over the next 20 years, and countries like Poland where the social insurance system is already operating at a huge deficit are likely to be hurt badly by it.
I remember chatting about this to one very, very intelligent parent, and he said that his opinion was that we should prepare for 10-20% additional income tax in the years to come simply to keep paying the promised pensions.
