Really,are the same conditions like before to get it like when they sent those 1300$ checks?and how much is it?

It was only $600 but the next one for $1400, that Teflon Trump promised, should be coming soon for a total of $2000.
The sad part is that the welfare people don't need it and neither do the rich.
The welfare people will spend it on lotto tickets, alcohol, cigarettes, illegal drugs and new cell phones.
The rich will invest it as they don't need it either.

ONLY??? we didnt get chit last time and nothing still,trust me I can use that 600 bucks and the other 1400,I can live somewhat lavishly in Poland for a month with that 2000$ ,

My point was how stupid it is to give Covid stimulus money to people who don't need it to survive.
If I were in charge I would have given $50,000 (or more) to each bar and restaurant owner that was closed down by order of the government.

They could use it to pay rent and insurance on their business so they didn't loose it because of the tyranny of the government.

Michigan along with several other States are still shut down while States like Florida are open and back to normal.
Why should Florida families be getting $2000 for each adult and $1000 for each child when things are back to normal here ?

That is a better idea but then how will they get votes?I hear they paying 400$ a week on top of unemployment till September,last time they gave 600$ a week on top of employment.These jerks never saw that kinda money in there lifetime.

Poland that way is doing better by giving some to businesses and not to individuals,not much but a better way to help.

Oh hell no, yet the essential workers are expected to come to work to risk exposer every day for their peanut wages while the rest of the people sit home refusing to work or being laid off collecting government money making twice as much as the essential workers.

On the average people are getting $350 a week unemployment plus add the $400 a week bump making it $750 a week plus their stimulus checks.
Why would they go to work when they can make more sitting home doing nothing.
This Covid virus was a economic windfall for many of them.

The money for business is a joke. It is impossible to qualify as a small business owner. The month by month income and expense requirements require being able to prove a 40% drop in income in one month compared to another, or compared to the same month last year. When the lockdowns have been on and off and restrictions have fluctuated, if you lost 30% one month, 5% the next, stayed flat the next, and lost 5% the fourth month, the business does not qualify.

PiS has received and will receive Euros from the EU that will never make it to business owners and citizens. They have zero knowledge on how to set up a payout system.

Now, lets open schools, and shopping malls. Create spikes in infections, and lock back down when it predictably happens. Coupled with a completely incompetent vaccine roll out, and these PiS donkeys will destroy this country.

Vaccinate the old first? How about telling them to stay home and vaccinate those who can work and get the economy rolling? How about vaccinate those cities where the money for the country is generated then worry about the outliers? Vaccinating the young so they wont infect the old when they are visiting to take care of them is the most effective way to speed up herd immunity.

The USA is a disaster, but Poland is working hard to overtake them and it wont be long before it will happen on a percentage basis.

The first one I think was up to $1,200 and the second up to $600. Depending on how much you made in 2019 depends whether you get the full amount, a smaller amount, or none at all. I got around half the max each time.

The two months we were shut down they were giving I think like $300 or $500 extra on top of what the unemployment max was which is only like $300-$350 a week in Illinois, and that's still higher than most other states. But yes, for people who were working a $10, $15 an hour job and now getting $700 or more a week are pretty happy and don't want to go back to work.

we went to pick up some draft pilsner and see how it started to get jammed with no masks and people started dancing,this goes on till 4/5am when all are drunk.No laws nothing.

That's awesome! Apparently around here they're going to start opening restaurants again for dine in.

I am so sick of this covid thing. The only good thing that came of it was the stimulus checks. I was lucky they looked at 2019 taxes otherwise I wouldn't of got ****.

Duda says that punishing businesses who are reopening in order to try to stave off economic destruction must be punished....

So... an admission that the government is resigned to a major depression as small businesses will collapse with no help forthcoming from the government.... since the latest forecast from the government is that no help will be forthcoming until the third quarter... long after most businesses will have gone belly up.

Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy (that I know of) have all had grassroots movements to end restrictions or large protests against them. The official story is not cutting the mustard with more and more people in Europe.

As I've said before - it ends when the people (and not governments) say it ends.

In the Uk there is a movement called the Great Reopening who are asking business and people to support a reopening on the 30th Jan.

I am giving every employee a 500 pln bonus for putting up with this BS if they go out and spend it in a business that is opening against "regulations". "Regulations" that have already been shot down as illegal in Polish courts more than two dozen times.

How does Duda understand anything? He has never had anything at risk. He is an academic, someone who could not make it in the real world. He has been on the government tite since he entered the workforce.

This country though, they re-elected this incompetent crew PiS. Most of the people going against "regulations" are or were PiS supporters. PiS is now the public disaster they have been to all but those who watch TVP. Even TVP cant spin cotton candy out of horse $#!T.

I am not sure how long this approach will last....this would be fine if shopkeepers complied with social distancing and regulating numbers entering shop premises....but based on past experiences it would seem that there are many who are unable to take responsibility to protect others by careful control of people coming and going out of shops etc....businesses need to work of course but everyone must be accutly aware of the current dangers with Covid, the new strain and the emerging news that younger people are starting to be infected....

You are very.... believing, once you pay attention to the long cycle it becomes aware they come up with a new angle to keep people scared every couple of weeks or so....

And no government anywhere has the remotest clue how to deal with this economically beyond letting small businesses die and impose more austerity on the public....

And, if you pay attention, you cannot help but notice that those who should be in the know.... don't treat this very seriously....

If you're reasonably healthy and not very old you are probably at very little risk. Exercise due caution (rather than hysterics) and get on with life.

Thing is, we know from last summer what the dangers are. Croatia, Spain, etc - it all pointed at crowded indoor spaces with insufficient ventilation as being a key danger.

Platforma had a very workable idea for returning kids to schools - they would be taught in one classroom by one teacher, who would give them work based on materials provided by other teachers. They wouldn't eat in school, and breaks would be in-classroom with plenty of ventilation at all times. The learning might not be perfect, but it would have reduced the risks and allowed for individual start/finish times to avoid crowds of kids in corridors.

It would have been enough, but instead, we're constantly messing with kids by changing ideas constantly.

As I understood it was open up as normal, much like Italy. The UK seems to have got that divide and conquer thing down to a tee, I not sure enough people have it in them to actually do this, but I hope they do and wish them luck, the UK has gone into restrictions without an exit strategy and been changing goalposts every few days, the public will need to say no at some point or they are done for.


It should last as long as the public wish it, they have all the power, just need understand they can say no and its over.

I opened the window once when I was in hospital the nurses went crazy, they were all straight out of the village farms with medical knowledge from the first republic.

Yeah, too true. They're far more afraid of the open window than they are of actually getting sick :/

It's not just Poland, off the top of my head the same pathological fear of drafts can also be found in Germany, Italy, Romania and Ukraine (just the countries I know it's an issue).

I can't comment for those, but in Ukraine and Romania, could it be explained by history? If you think back - Poland's population is mostly descended from peasants. They would have treated drafts as bringing problems - because it would mean losing precious heat in winter from buildings that weren't necessarily well constructed or insulated. Poland only really urbanised after WW2, so someone in their middle age today would have been brought up by someone with memories of those times.

But I do think it's a perfect case where strong leadership is needed.

And I'm going to deliver on that promise.
