When St. James Parish Hospital in Louisiana began COVID-19 vaccinations this winter, it routinely would administer 500 daily shots and could not keep pace with the long lines of vaccine seekers.

But as Louisiana joined a cascading number of states to waive age restrictions and allow all adults to get vaccinated, hospital leaders are finding more appointments going unfilled.

SURPRISE !
It's a fast-changing scenario hospital leaders did not imagine would happen so quickly.
"We always felt the vaccine was like gold and it was precious," said MaryEllen Pratt, CEO, St. James Parish Hospital, Louisiana.
Now, "we're having more trouble filling our schedules ... more people can get it but we're finding less people interested in getting it."

Covid itself was Chinese but the reaction to it was all in the hands of the ruling mob that was making billions per hour while the lower 90% was getting poorer. Some were looking for free food. Some killed themselves.

percent of positive test results: 23.62 % (of almost 92,000 tests - the drop in percentage of positive cases seems to be stable)

hospital admissions: -707 (third daily drop in a row and the biggest in some time....)

deaths: 245 a lot for a Sunday....

from the previous day*: 7 day moving average of daily deaths: 492 (up 27 from 465) this is the last significant parameter to fall...

Not sure at the moment but does anyone know how many new infections there have been in the last 24 hours....I understand that hospitals are overwhelmed with admissions of new cases and that new Covid wards with beds cannot be used due to the lack of trained staff. How many new wards are there in Poland?

As far as vaccinations is concerned as this programme needs to be stepped up will the government start utilising Apteka's or other convenient locations or indeed home visits. Is anything being done by PIS to put this right.

Was a pretty large anti mask demonstration in planty today. Police everywhere writing tickets. Just last night no police, no tickets and nearly half the people in rynek not wearing masks. Looks like selective execution of duties. All a big show.

How about just one person challenging it and possibly getting a ruling to that effect? That's what we do here. As much as I hate abortions, it was just one woman who made it happen. Good to hear that things are heading in the right direction at last. New cases down by 8 thousand in 10 days is a start, putting to one side the fact they are dependant on how many are tested it's a good sign. If this continues they should be down to a reasonable level by early May.

As for vaccinations, if some of the higher daily stats for vaccinations of around 300,000 for 1st jabs become more of a regular statistic, which could happen considering the plans from next week, I see little reason why things shouldn't begin to get back to normal by the first week or two in May.

Yes, the rollout is likely to still be short of its target but it will be increasingly difficult as time passes and data improves to maintain the current regulations.

Well, perhaps I am missing something here but it seems they are aiming for almost doubling the vaccines in under half the time. Of course I know taking such information with a pinch of salt could be wise but hey its possible. Increasing the amount of vaccination points apparently also.
