Coronavirus in Poland

Novichok
23 Apr 2021  #6091

She's not an autocrat and no longer rules by Divine Right.

this is not a democracy when it comes to Covid restrictions

...but some apparatchiks are?

.we cannot take a vote on every restriction...

...but we can demand that the apparatchiks show us the evidence, the "science", and true numbers. These covid terrorizing bastards are anything but open where their diktats come from. If they did, that show would have to be X-rated.

Like, where did 6 feet come from? Show me the research and the test results or admit that you (editorial) pulled it out of your rectum. And, above all, show us that the restrictions and the waves are in a cause-and-effect relationship. Or is the case of me saying, Sun, raise! and when it does I feel like God again.

Numbers, dane

percent of positive test results: 13.41 % (of 65,200 tests the percentage remains under 18 % which is good)

hospital admissions: -837

deaths: 513 (down a little...)

from the previous day*: 7 day moving average of daily deaths: 500 (down 8 from yesterday)

*the source I use is a day behind and I'm too lazy to calculate on my own

hospital admissions: -837

that'sa mistake it should be -866

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9507223/Thousands-anti-lockdown-activists-march-central-London.html

Read this and be proud of the Brits. "Freedom is non-negotiable" and I couldn't agree more. If we collectively want the risks, it's our right to take those risks.

We are not government property.

PolAmKrakow
25 Apr 2021  #6094

@Novichok
If we are not government property what do we all have a SSN and/or PESEL or the like assigned? This obviously opens up a much larger subject. The march though, this should be happening everywhere. Unfortunately people are sheep.

Got my new COVID test yesterday, negative this time. Standing in line waiting to go in, and some "activist" woman yelled at a man across the street for not wearing a mask while he was smoking, and then tried telling me to wear my mask over my nose. I politely showed her one of my fingers.

some "activist" woman yelled at a man across the street for not wearing a mask while he was smoking,

I would have yelled back at that libtard fanatic " dont blame me, blame the Chinese" and then wait to be called a racist or a pawian style spit attempt by her. These ppl are like a broken record, blindly following "woke" Chinese propaganda.

negative this time.

Congrats... I actually caught the Kung Flu last May, didnt do much to me except slight fever and felt fatigued for a week.

Just had another one of my friends die this week from the China flu.
He was 68 and in excellent health but refused to wear his mask over his nose or social distance,
I don't know how many times I told him to pull his mask up properly in public (to no avail) so I called called him D.I.M.

His response was always, "Whatever".
He made his point but so did the virus and guess who won.
Now I wonder just how many people's lives he ruined by giving it to them.

but refused to wear his mask over his nose or social distance,

It sometimes happens to people they don`t care. When the Titanic was sinking, some guys also refused to fight for a seat on a life boat, they stayed on the board till the end, doing nothing, only saying prayers.

Good points. I have antibodies now and getting my jab on Wednesday. Since I know I am safe, I am not going out of my way to make someone happy who is probably 6 meters away from me. I am sure not going to wear a mask in my car or walking my dog in the park when the closest person is 20 meters away.

With all the talk of vaccine passports, why isn't their talk of antibody passports? People who are vaccinated and people with antibodies should just be let alone IMO. See someone without a mask, avoid them if you haven't had the jab or the virus yet. Simple solution.

I have antibodies now and getting my jab on Wednesday.

Smart doctors recommend waiting 90 days after an infection before getting a vaccine. Otherwise possibility of antibody dependent enchancement. (bad)

Numbers, dane of today's date

percent of positive test results: 14.12 % (of 51,100 tests ... is around 15% the new normal?)

hospital admissions: -792

deaths: 193 (still a bit high for Sunday....)

from the previous day*: 7 day moving average of daily deaths: 485 (down 15 from yesterday)

*the source I use is a day behind and I'm too lazy to calculate on my own

Is it true that in Poland churches are still open despite the high infection rate?

mafketis
25 Apr 2021  #6102

what high infection rate? the current 7 day moving daily average is 10, 824 which less than half of Germany's (which is 21, 183). Since Germany has about twice the population... they're roughly the same...

Tacitus
25 Apr 2021  #6103

And thus way, way too high. Germany just had to introduce further measures to halt the spread, including a curfew. That churches are still open is honestly shocking, since they are among the first things that should be sut down.

CDC guidance now says once recovered its ok to get the jab. That was an update 6 days ago.

johnny reb
25 Apr 2021  #6105

Since I know I am safe

I think may be a little over confident PolAm.
There have been plenty of people who had the virus catch it the second time only the second time is much worse.
Plus there have been plenty of vaccinated people who have still caught it and some have even died so if I were you I wouldn't consider myself 100% safe.

Smart doctors recommend waiting 90 days after an infection before getting a vaccine.

I have heard that too.
It sure will be interesting what the long term effects are on these vaccines.
Has Bill Gates. Ted Turner or the Builder Burger Society got their vaccines yet ?

PolAmKrakow

@johnny reb
Not 100% safe from anything. Not going to live in fear. I am getting the jab so I can travel and resume my normal activities. Yes, it's selfish, I am not going to worry about everyone else, and that's my choice. Choice after all is the only thing we really have freely.

Pretty sure Gates got his vaccination in January. Not going for the theories of some. I am getting the J&J jab, traditional vaccine with traditional risks.

so I can travel and resume my normal activities

Not gonna happen even after getting vaccinated.I am fully vaccinated(so far as they say) still taking precautions and have to follow the freaking norm of wearing a mask on the street in Poland.

PolAmKrakow
25 Apr 2021  #6108

@Cargo pants
I only wear a mask when around other people. 6 am walking the dog in planty, no mask. Not going to buy into that BS that its lingering in the air or anything like that. They want to write me a ticket for that, so be it. In stores, or rynek where others are? Sure. Simply because it makes other people feel better, not because I feel I have to for myself. And just like last year when the temps hit the 20's regularly I wont wear it at all.

The Jetblue founder has intersting ideas "the 61-year-old looked like anyone else doing their part to end a global pandemic. But then, grinning, Neeleman unhooked the ear-loops and showed me the fabric: a mesh with holes so big they just might keep out mosquitoes. Masks DO NOT PROTECT the wearer! They are meant to protect others. You can have six masks and if the guy next to sneezes into your face, your eyes will catch his sneeze and happily deliver it to your lungs. Every moron out there walking in the park thinks that his mask protects him - like a condom or mini space suit.

Simply because it makes other people feel better, not because I feel I have to for myself.

And also as the price of admission.

I don't give a damn how stupid people feel. When I am no ejecting anything and the mask zombies are still afraid of me only because I am breathing - which the masks do not filter - it's their problem, not mine.

Crow

Masks DO NOT PROTECT the wearer!

Of course they don`t. I wear them to repel fanatical old people who are terrified for that what remained of their lives.

PolAmKrakow
25 Apr 2021  #6112

@Novichok
I understand the science. Or the theory of the science more accurately. I am not worried about the price of admission either. I simply don't want to deal with the idiots who think they have a right to confront people. Wear a mask if you want. I choose not to in most instances. Police want to fine me, go ahead, no big deal. Not one of the sheep following these great leaders we have who have been guessing for a year now.

Novichok
25 Apr 2021  #6113

I didn't mean to be a patronizing teacher. I just continued from where you left.

I simply don't want to deal with the idiots

The best way to repel them is to have a "don't even think about it" face.

who have been guessing for a year now

...and calling their rectum products "science" - without links, quotes, names, and dates.

As far as I am concerned, this is simply another world event like many other world events over the course of eons. It has been blown way out of proportion. Right or left, everyone can agree this has devastated the economies around the world. We have lost loved ones, 99% of whom were ill already. Sorry, but $**T happens, and I am over it. I don't require masks from my employee's, visitors, or anyone else. I wont wear one unless I am in crowded places simply so I don't have to deal with all the idiots who think its ok to stand right beside me and then give me their opinion even though the could have avoided me.

I enjoy reading all the reports of sanepid getting their fines and cases tossed form business that have re-opened. In that regard, Poland looks more like what America used to look like.

Cargo pants
25 Apr 2021  #6115

lol Man at least in America one dont have to wear a mask in public and even in NJ gyms are open with pools and hot tubs. When are you going??

johnny reb
25 Apr 2021  #6116

Yes, it's selfish, I am not going to worry about everyone else, and that's my choice.

Do you think it is your God given right to potentially kill another person by exposing them needlessly just because you insist on making a selfish choice ?

Help me out here as it is my understanding that we are all in this together.

I simply don't want to deal with the idiots who think they have a right to confront people.

Just like the idiots don't want to deal with the D.I.M. that show no respect for potentially killing them. Hmmm

They want to write me a ticket for that, so be it.

I feel the same way when I drive down the road at 100 mph, I am selfish but it is my choice even if I am endangering someone else's life because the roads are designed for that speed. Let them give me a ticket. (sarcasm as in moron mentality)

Police want to fine me, go ahead, no big deal.

Better yet, people that don't want to follow the Covid rules by not getting vaccinated or wearing a mask PROPERLY over their nose, Void all their personal health care insurance so if they are admitted to the hospital for Covid care the rest of us don't have to pick up the bill for their selfish choices.

How does that sound ?

PolAmKrakow
25 Apr 2021  #6117

@johnny reb
I think it is my god given right to not be around people so they are not at risk, and when I am around people to follow what 80% of them are doing. I am not going to live in fear. Selfish, sure, but that's life.

I will wear my mask on a plane and in airport because its a law in some places and it is required for service. Just like going to the grocery store its required and I wear it. But no. There is no way I will wear a mask in the park when no one is within spitting distance of me.

If a person who is 6 or more meters from me has a problem with me not wearing a mask, then they need to avoid me and STFU. I am not in their space, so dont come into mine.

People aren't following covid rules. People wont get vaccinated. Its already happening. Cancel their insurance. Cancel their car insurance. I don't care. Everybody has free will. Anyone else who exercises their free will to not get vaccinated, and its already happening, can just deal with the risk. I don't impose my opinion on the subject on them, they are free to decide their own fate, as I am mine. Again, if someone is worried about a mask free man, then avoid him.

Funny how i remember the days that when someone was wearing a mask we needed to be afraid of them, not the other way around.

Novichok
25 Apr 2021  #6118

People wont get vaccinated

...but they still insist on me wearing my mask to protect them! That's what I am told when I ask why I still have to wear "that stupid mask" after getting vaccinated. BTW, that term in quotes is the only way I refer to masks.

I read your last two posts and I thought I was reading my own.

On the mask moron scale, the top position belongs to the parents who make their kids wear "those stupid masks". There is no way I would allow mine to suffer from the restricted and contaminated airflow so some a-hole with half a dozen underlying conditions who abused his body all his life will feel protected and live six months longer. The time to think about life span was during the last fifty years while drinking, smoking, and eating like a pig. My apologies to pigs. We just say it...

Germany just had to introduce further measures to halt the spread, including a curfew

I'm not surprised.

In the UK, which is much more normal country, pubs are open for public since the last week.

Apart from that, wearing a dust mask outside was never mandatory.

I regret that Poland went totalitarian way with Chinese flu restrictions following idiots from Western Europe.

Novichok
25 Apr 2021  #6120

I regret that Poland went totalitarian way

...and never had to explain why the lockdowns and the masks didn't work well enough to prevent another "wave".

Frankly, I wouldn't even bother to ask that question since the stock answer is always that without these oh-so-scientific measures things would be "a lot worse". How much worse? A lot. Next...
