Short story: if you're completely accepting of the vaccines (developed in a hurry with unproven technology) then you're just not that smart. If you're unrelentingly negative about all vaccines then you're just not that smart.

Deciding whether to get vaccinated or not is (or should be) a question of weighing different consequences in a situation dealing with imperfect knowledge...

Tuesday brews day

percent of positive test results: 0.36% of 45,993 tests

hospitalization: +24 to 295 (big jump though increases have been happening on Mondays or Tuesdays (when they've happened)

deaths: 4 (2 with comorbidities)

from the previous day*: seven day moving average of daily deaths: up to to 3

And yet the government claims that the number of currently infected has increased by 126 to reach 154,085 !!!!

If you check here worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/poland/ you see the number hasn't decreased since early June despite the positive test and hospitalization rates plummeting. Compare with other countries at that site where the active cases coincide with other variables more.

Clear falsehood (or maybe the usual PiS incompetence) why is the government lying in this way? Why are no journalists asking about this?

Is there any talk of acquired immunity exceptions to vaccines in Poland? ie since so many people have been infected that is one of the reasons that the uptake to get a % if population vaxed is flatlining. Or just the same binary bs as everywhere else?

AFAIK they're encouraging everyone (and they shortened the time between a positive test and being able to get the first dose back in June or so).

They're also encouraging pregnant women (not a good idea) and younger and younger people (though there's no evidence that covid is dangerous to those under 20....

To be fair you could do those things at the height of the lockdown in the UK at least. Things have rather moved on from that, lets just hope the situation doesn't return for a long time at least. Things are to be honest with a few exceptions back to normal. I can see a hybrid system of remote/office working continuing but I think all the low level stuff will go once a certain level of vaccination get reached.

How predictably boring. It's like the world has lost half it's IQ thanks to fear , mass media and big pharma profits.


Yes but the U.K is at 55 % vaxxed with massive natural/acquired immunity, the hospitalisation/death rates over the last couple of weeks demonstrate that. Australia is at 17 % vaxed with no natural immunity. We are an island, the lucky country and a hermit kingdom, who for better or worse, the public has wholeheartedly supported a zero covid strategy till we reach 70 percent vax rate.

Australia seems to be one of the worst.... in Poland most things are back to normal (except for masks in a few places).

As I keep saying, most people got over covid phobia around Easter of 2020 (one reason the vaccination rate has been stalling - the oversell by the government turns a lot of people off).

I do think enough of the vulnerable population is vaccinated so I'm not expecting huge hospitalizations or high death rates again (ironically enough the highest death rates came in the middle of the big vaccination push - since one of the times people do need to be extra careful is after the first shot, but no one mentioned that in the media).

The virus is "just a few mutations potentially away" from evading vaccines, the CDC said.
WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO US !
The vaccine seems to have made things worse.

Yes i was following the rise in covid deaths after vaccines as well. The whistleblowers in the nursing homes was paticularly hearthbreaking. Seems like the immunse system is busy creating antibodies for the vaccine that it gets distracted from fighting the coronavirus.

The Chinese government needs to be held accountable for destroying the world before we are all dead.

And that a good thing! Theyre 100% political and disregard actual science.

The virus and vaccines are a ideal vehicle.

Gigantic transfer of wealth, blatant political power grabs, out of control bureaucratic cancer, erosion of those pesky judiciary boundaries like MUH RIGHTS etc.

What is not to like for the wannabe-despots and associated control freaks.

The real fun begins though as the USD continues to inflate with eventual hyperinflation around the corner (if present course is maintained). Its clear that the only thing realistically backing the dollar was burgerlands economic potential and with these lockdowns they have already managed to destroy significant swatches of the small business sector. You know, the main source of new jobs, competition and innovation aka the fuel of economic activity.

in the UK they had to ramp up testing to insane levels (higher than the EU put together) to create some fear.... (since hospitalization and death rates didn't increase that much). and it still didn't work... and the rate began falling just when the prophets of doom were claiming it would skyrocket....

With much lower testing (the highest Poland ever got was only about 10% of July UK testing... will the numbers be scary enough to shut things down?

The NHS Health app has a natural immunity pass, ie it gets you into the same places the vaccinated and the people who have been tested recently, I hope the same catagory is introduced in poland if it goes down the restrictions path

He measures those with covid antibodies, not just positive test results; which gives a truer picture. According to this study, covid is widely spread and has killed (or contributed to) 0.15% of those who contacted the virus.

Twitter suspended the account of science writer and former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson for sharing the newly released results of the "pivotal" Pfizer clinical trial which completely undermine the narrative of our medical establishment.

Here's the quote directly from Pfizer:

During the blinded, controlled period, 15 BNT162b2 and 14 placebo recipients died; during the open label period, 3 BNT162b2 and 2 original placebo recipients who received BNT162b2 after unblinding died.

None of these deaths were considered related to BNT162b2 by investigators.

Causes of death were balanced between BNT162b2 and placebo groups.
As tons of people who were in the placebo group went out and took the vaccine "the trial blind is broken now" and "this is all the data we will ever have," Berenson noted.

So in short, the Pfizer vaccine shows it does nothing to reduce the overall risk of death. ZERO.
