Coronavirus in Poland

Many people are still stuck in March 2020 (lots of myths about how it spreads and exaggerated importance of 'cases' instead of hospitalizations or deaths) and November 2020 (vaccine, yay, hooray!).

Meanwhile, in the week 12-19 November 31.8 % of infections and 27.2 % of deaths were of fully vaccinated persons...

But still many keep the 'pandemic of the unvaccinated' talking point because I guess it makes them feel safe?

This important thing is where public policy is at. I see a lot of inconsistencies across Europe.

CBC Called Out For Using Mannequins In Hospital Beds For October Story About How ICUs Work for covid.
The CBC Edmonton was caught red-handed last month using a mannequin in a hospital bed as background footage for a story on how an ICU has been operating during the pandemic.

Even better, the mannequin in what looks like a hospital bed, wasn't even filmed inside of an ICU.
It's called fraud but because it's media they get a pass.
It's no wonder the public is so confused of what is real and what is not.

The vaccination rate for adults in Poland is far higher than the 53 percent in that article. Probably around 70:percent.

And 72.8 percent of deaths were not vaccinated. So if you are unvaccinated you are 3 times more likely to die if you get it. Pretty solid number.

About 60% according to this, which is positive; it shows that the take-up is increasing. Hopefully there will be many more before the winter is over.

Just great, first it was our medical personnel they weakened and now it's our military !
Now they are destroying even more military careers by using covid as an excuse.
The Army is to begin forcing out Soldiers who refuse COVID Vaccine, including Guardsmen.
Soldiers who refuse to get the COVID vaccine and have not requested an exemption will no longer be allowed to re enlist or be promoted, effectively ending their military careers just like they did with our nurses.

The new directive applies to active duty troops as well as reservists and National Guardsmen, including those serving in states whose governors do not require the vaccine.

Troops' service records will be flagged the day they make their final vaccine refusal, which follows a meeting with a medical professional and a second order to get vaccinated.

This flag will bar them from being promoted, re enlisting, continuing to receive enlistment bonuses, attending service related schools, or receiving tuition assistance.

The antibody and t/b cell studies in the astra vaccine showed that either spacing the dose by six months or having a third dose after six+ months gives vastly improved immunity. Non of this yearly booster nonsense but having a third shot that is normal in many other vaccines. would improve in the results of the vaxxed ending up in hospital.

The problem of the waning immunity in at risk groups is a mainly a problem with the pfizer and moderna three week spacing of the doses, which is not enough time to develop a robust immune response. The U.K made the right decision in spacing out the astra dose to three months. A third dose 8-12 months after the second should do the trick for immunity in the elderly and risk cases. I don't think the EU, unlike some other countries is totally goose stepping along with big pharma. the previously infected with Covid element in the EU covid pass, which is missing in the USA and Australian passes is proof of that.

I'm doing my third at the end of Dec, 5 months after the first and hopefully that will do.

Deciding on spacing and dates isn't easy. It involves new data and also the logistics of delivering the shot to so many people. One th8ng I like about the UK's approach is that it's given at NHS centres only with no queue jumping on the basis of paying privately.

In Australia it's all goverment run, but they are going all out, pharmacies, hardware stores, beaches, football games etc, we are going to hit 90 percent in january.

Right so two doses are not enough but they are making two doses mandatory.

I didin't say two doses are not enough, obviously for the elderly or those with immune systems not up to scratch then a thrd dose is prefarable. For most of us two doses is enough , however we are talking about stats and the general population and hospital rates here so a general recomendation must be made

That's good. In the U.K. they're using stadiums too, and in smaller towns some pharmacies. I had it done in a semi-vacant office block that they'd rented. Took a few minutes both times from arriving to leaving.

I am looking for a booster shot with nanotubes, nanobots, and microchips that can turn me into a bionic super spreader. Meanwhile here in Poland, we are hearing a lot more about restrictions being imposed in Czech and Slovakia which could be a sign of what may come in Poland. Really though, nothing will stop Christmas markets in Poland this year, and Krakow opens next weekend. I will be there without my mask, drinking hot wine and eating kielbasa on Planty.
