Coronavirus in Poland

I'm past due on the booster shot and really don't see a reason to get it now. Omicron is like catching a cold, so what, big deal. This virus has petered out and it's only political now.

Me either. I was vaxxed, got covid, but am really not interested in a 'booster' (especially an mrna one). Under some circumstances I might consider and AZ booster but I don't like the idea of mixing and matching...

Honestly in Krakow there really isn't a "pandemic" mentality. Everything is open. People only wearing masks out of courtesy in malls and grocery stores. No one GAF any more and I am glad for it. People are more concerned about potential war in Ukraine than COVID now, and thats actually what they should think about. Booster shots wont stop bullets, and if you think a pandemic is bad for the economy wait till you see what a war can do.

I took the third jab recently.

Our generation was raised by parents that lived through a depression, PolAm.
Now three generations later people have forgotten and are clueless what broke means.
This covid pandemic only put us in a mini-Recession that government welfare bailed them out with stimulus money.
A depression doesn't work that way, stimulus money will be replaced with soup lines and "limited cell phone plans".
People will be begging for a minimum wage job.
Two factors have always happened before a worldwide DEPRESSION.
The first one is "Inflation" and the second one is "war".
This covid hoax was just the reset to set the stage to teach people how to fend for themselves.
I'm afraid the Depression that is coming is going to be like none other.

I am with you on everything but a planned reset. Simply dont believe it, and people in power are not smart enough to pull it off. Once again Germany and France showing their true colors. All for one and all for Germany and France. The pandemic is over, and endemic like I said a year ago is all it is.

It's the new normal. Just like post-9/11 restrictions, we allowed this to happen, and it'll never stop. They never give back power because people wanted to feel safe. It was stupid that anyone ever let this happen in the first place.

Any action entails reaction, that`s logical. But that reaction doesn`t need to take place immediately, it may happen later. Didn`t you read or watch classic stories about formulas which transform people into sth else? That is why I predict that my transformation into a monster might take place in some future time.

It's less than a hoax but a mixture of (1) we have to do something, (2) the elections are coming, (3) safetism sells, and (4) sheep will go along with any plan when scared.

COVID is not a hoax. I know people who got it and died. It is simply a bad virus that is slowly petering out. Like Spanish flu. But the Chinese should not be getting any breaks on this. Why the whole world isn't coming down and crushing them I do not understand.

Fed interest rate hikes only effect people with loans that have interest rates that can fluctuate. Nothing more for the average person. It will tighten credit though for anyone without a great score and a lot of money to begin with.

Today's numbers (along with occasional helpful context)

33.6 % positive results out of 143,700 tests... higher percentage but lower number...

hospitalizations +225 to 15,029 ....not sure on the percentages of 'admitted due to covid' vs 'tested positive after being admitted for something else'... that would be helpful to know.... so of course there's no information available...

ICU: -2 to 1056 omicron - doesn't often (ever?) attack the lungs, so this should keep falling...

deaths: 23 (22 with comorbidities)

daily deaths (7 day moving average): +6 to 189

That's why I don't buy into conspiracies. Conspiracy is six guys, not sixty thousand. Covid is fear combined with the love of power - a combination that is international and universal.
