Coronavirus in Poland

"Freedom Convoy" started out as a rally of truckers against a vaccine requirement for cross-border drivers, but turned into a demonstration against government overreach during the pandemic with a strong anti-vaccination streak.

"Freedom Convoy"

I seen the Convoy this morning on the tube... I dont blame them. Its the leftards that want to force these draconian mandates upon us.

Its over for them now, dont mess with Truckers. They control everything, just wait:)

Its the end of the pandemic..Omicron is dying out and libtard maskholes are frantic.. Dobrze!

Today's numbers (along with occasional helpful context)

31.4 % positive results out of 106,700 tests... both lower number of tests and percentages?

hospitalizations +418 to 15,447 ....not sure on the percentages of 'admitted due to covid' vs 'tested positive after being admitted for something else'... that would be helpful to know.... so of course there's no information available...

ICU: +13 to 1073 omicron - doesn't often (ever?) attack the lungs, so this should be plateauing or falling... (usual monday rule of increae probably applies here)

deaths: 33 (29 with comorbidities)

daily deaths (7 day moving average): -1 to 188

He did say more pandemics were coming.

He also said the Earth needs to be de-populated by 80%.

A Recession is when your neighbor loses his job.
A Depression is when you lose your job.
A Recovery is when dr, Fauci loses his job.

Today's numbers (along with occasional helpful context)

Weird day with weird numbers all over the place....

27.1 % positive results out of 144,300 tests... was not expecting this drop... at least not this soon...

hospitalizations +910 to 16,357 .... was not expecting this big a rise either.... a lot of omicron admissions are much shorter than previous variants though.

and... still not sure on the percentages of 'admitted due to covid' vs 'tested positive after being admitted for something else'... that would be helpful to know.... so of course there's no information available...

ICU: -15 to 1058 omicron - doesn't often (ever?) attack the lungs, so this should be plateauing or falling... (usual monday rule of increae probably applies here)

deaths: 239 (173 with comorbidities)

daily deaths (7 day moving average): +5 to 193

Can somebody fluent in Polish explain the difference between "maska" and "maseczka"?

mafketis
1 Feb 2022  #9878

the difference between "maska" and "maseczka"?

size....

maska could cover the whole face while maseczka wouldn't....

(a number of european languages use diminutive forms for what people were during the pandemic mascherina (Italian) mascarilla (Spanish) while others use the plain word Maske (German) maskra (Maltese) maszk (Hungarian)

don't read too much into it....

size....

I thought that maseczka reflects love for the person who is wearing it.

That's right. Pretty funny how many doctors are telling their patients, "Yeah, some minor myocarditis is to be expected after the vaccine." Instead of a death sentence* they are talking about it like it is a rash.

From washingtontimes.com/news/2022/jan/31/lockdowns-had-little-or-no-impact-covid-19-deaths-/

Lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little or no impact in reducing deaths from COVID-19, according to a new analysis by researchers at Johns Hopkins University.

The lockdowns during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020 reduced COVID-19 mortality by about 0.2%, said the broad review of multiple scientific studies.

"We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality," the researchers wrote.

Now the predictable reaction from the obedient bootlickers...What if that 0.2% were you? My answer: Then I would meet Jesus and I am cool with that. Continuing...

But the research paper said lockdowns did have "devastating effects" on the economy and contributed to numerous social ills.

"They have contributed to reducing economic activity, rising unemployment, reducing schooling, causing political unrest, contributing to domestic violence, and undermining liberal democracy," the report said.

Another study showed that lockdowns didn't have any measurable effect on the flow of Mississippi, either.

31.2 % positive results out of 179,800 tests...

We're on the last lap of this "pandemic" paralympics

Now it's time to have a covid Nuremberg and hang the bastards who caused all that misery - the lockdowns, the depression, the suicides, and the lost years - because they were drunk with power and "had to do something" while ignoring their own rules themselves.

We could only hope they would turn on themselves and start pointing fingers at each other. But none have the balls to point a finger at anyone and then do something about it.

Today's numbers (along with occasional helpful context)

Back to the status quo (more or less)

31.1 % positive results out of 175,100 tests... I don't see this percentage or number of tests increasing significantly.... never say never, but... no, I don't see it.

Interestingly, the 7 day moving average of cases is starting to plateau... for how long? Poland's omicron wave started either around new years (in which case it is on time to plateau) or around the 13th (in which case there should be a couple more weeks...).

I think testing just isn't widespread enough and enough people are actively avoiding getting tested (as I would) so the numbers are.... what they are.

hospitalizations +282 to 16,811 .... still not sure on the percentages of 'admitted due to covid' vs 'tested positive after being admitted for something else'... that would be helpful to know.... so of course there's no information available...

ICU: +31 to 1076

deaths: 307 (238 with comorbidities)

daily deaths (7 day moving average): +6 to 197

Today's numbers (along with occasional helpful context)

29 % positive results out of 164,100 tests... surprisingly low percentage for so many tests...

The 7 day moving average of cases is definitely starting to plateau... for how long? Maybe lower vaccination rates are a blessing in disguise? There's some evidence that omicron... flourishes more easily in the vaccinated... weird? what do you expect from a lab-grown virus....

And, if as I suspect, people with mild symptoms are actively avoiding getting tested (as I would) the numbers are not going to look like other countries (or the doomsday predictions of tvn24....)

hospitalizations +451 to 17,262 .... still not sure on the percentages of 'admitted due to covid' vs 'tested positive after being admitted for something else'... that would be helpful to know.... so of course there's no information available...

ICU: +19 to 1095

deaths: 246 (190 with comorbidities)

daily deaths (7 day moving average): +7 to 203

Community furore after police stop St Bernadette's Glendalough church service to check masks

In communist Poland, I never saw the police enter a church for any reason. Those dumb commies...didn't know how timid they were.

Of course it's Australia... As soon as I started reading that post I'm like man I bet this is Australia and then .au confirmed it... out of all the western countries that have gone full crazy mode with covid Australia is in a league of its own - cops busting into churches, making people wear masks outside, using soldiers and militarized cops to enforce orders, and to top it off they've build covid camps where people who don't comply with these crazy mandates get sent to...

If any place needs a Freedom Convoy it's Australia... yet knowing knowing how they went full Stasi on the population they'd probably arrest every trucker, seize their truck, put them in a covid camp and work up some crazy trumped up charges like sedition or conspiracy

28.1 % positive results out of 162,800 tests... surprisingly low percentage for so many tests...

The 7 day moving average of cases peaked on February 02 and has started to decline... how long will this last?

Maybe lower vaccination rates are a blessing in disguise? There's some evidence that omicron... flourishes more easily in the vaccinated... weird? what do you expect from a lab-grown virus and a crappy, not-very-good therapeutic masquerading as a vaccine....

hospitalizations +423 to 17,685 .... still not sure on the percentages of 'admitted due to covid' vs 'tested positive after being admitted for something else'... that would be helpful to know.... so of course there's no information available...

There are a billion government parasites aka "employees" on the globe. Did even one lose his job because of the covid lockdown?

Did even one lose his job because of the covid lockdown?

Yes, especially the ones who didn`t make it through the infection and died. (:(:(

his job

Why are you so narrow-minded and discriminatory?

Novichok

Just as those who say mankind.

pawian

who say mankind.

Yes, but that is a traditional expression which got imbued in people`s minds over centuries. While your saying "his job" only proves your ignorance of the fact that half employees you meant are females. That is why I suggested you are narrow-minded meaning mentally limited., :)

A funny thing happened to me two days ago at my dentist's. This suicidal nut told me to take my mask off! Can you believe it?

When I asked how many in his office got sick, this liar said nobody. I think I will find one that will let me wear my mask.

pawian

And? What is the condition of your dentures?

Novichok
5 Feb 2022  #9900

I don't have dentures.
Why do you think he said nobody in his office died after working 8 hours a day on the maskless patients who cough, spit and keep their mouth open all the time. And from that illegal distance!!!...of six inches, not six feet!!!!! They should all be dead by now. Miracle!!!!
